Need your advise - dad disagrees and pressures me

Thanks for sharing Maya. I's so happy for you :-) I'm glad your girlfriend has you as a teacher so she too will find a good man who is what she wants. Do you think this man was unfaithful because she was afraid he would cheat? Or did she really just want a sexy man?

My question: I told my parents about the Hicks books and actually they bought it also. I was so happy thinking I found sometihng wonderful for them! NOW my dad he keeps telling me that I close my eyes from reality and is getting more more and more persistnet to the point that I almost wished i had not told him about it. He is elderly and an alternative medical practitioner and much into meditation and positive self suggestion, but he says Hicks are taking it too far. He says it's like a CULT!! I asked him for examples and he said you still have to take care of your body and not just visualize, and you cant just look away if another country is about to invade and not fight back, etc. He said what if I was president, that it is dangerous to avoid reality. Or that people can't have sex without condoms and just focus on staying healthy. Then he went on about my husband too! Like he is how he is and I can't cure him of his issues from childhood.

I was caught offguard and don't know what to tell him. I want to get BETTER at applying LOA and I don't want to discuss this with him, as it's basically just that he wants to keep talking to me until I agree with him.

He JUST called again, and it made me feel bad and I wanted to get off the phone quickly. He didn't let me and I didn't want to hang up on my own dad. He just can't take no for an answer. I told him nicely that he is entitled to his opinion as I am to mine, that we are both grown ups, but he almost gets angry. He said he will call me every day until we come to an understanding! What do I do??
