Moorish Spain
Hi FinallyFaith: Thankyou for your kind words. I appreciate them.
According to some accounts Gypsies fled the Punjab area of India due to invading Hun tribes. Some accounts state that there were tribes from Afghanistan. They broke off into 3 tribes. 2 remained in India and the 3rd one left for Europe.
When Spain was ruled by the Moors (origins in Sub Sahara Africa/Egypt-Spain reached it's highest cultural level with the merging of 3 cultures- Muslim, Christain, and Jewish. 700 years of peaceful coexistence- seems impossible? yes, because it was never again duplicated in any other time in history, past or present.
This coesistence enlightened Europe and brought it out of the Dark Ages.
At it's height, Al-Andalus-as it was known- after having constructed the Alhambra in Cordoba- became a bastion of culture, commerce and beauty.
I believe Gypsies ~were~ forced out from this area in Punjab, as today, gypsies trace some of their words to Sanskrit
found in Punjab.
Thanks for the point about Kaballah...
I've been wearing a sterling Kaballah token with Hebrew writing since...forever...way back even before Kaballah was popularized by Madonna.
I'm fascinated by certain numbers and they constantly roll around in my head. I just purchased Doreen Virtue's ~Angel Numbers~. I had to, because number 2 just kept coming up- no matter how much I tried to ignore it- it just was ~there~.
<2>; it says: have faith, courage, your prayers are manisfesting, even if they aren't visible yet.
Lastly, (please indulge me a little while longer)- the word Gypsy is derived from the word ~egyptian~ my people believe, that we are descendants of the Pharoahs.
Namaste...peace be upon you.
