Prozac? That is outrageous!

I really should answer your question as DQ, since it makes me want to get out my trusty lance and run it through what I believe is simply outrageous advice!  OK, this is of course merely my opinion and I am no professional, etc., but here goes:

Prozac?  PROZAC!!!!!  What is your doctor thinking?  Is your doctor thinking?  First all, PMDD is not even recognized as a legitimate disorder by the WHO, but is in the United States where the FDA gave approval to it (imagine that!) at the behest of the psychiatric groups.  Second of all, the WHO made the makers of Prozac REMOVE PMS AS AN INDICATION FOR PROZAC. Maybe your doctor needs to update himself on the lastest information about Prozac, although my question would be what in the Hades is an ob/gyn doing prescribing that foul drug in the first place?  At least it wasn't electro-shock or a frontal lobotomy.

The good news is that there are a good number of natural things you can do for PMS (vitamins, minerals, herbs, diet, etc.) and I will get some of those together and update this post as soon as I have a bit more time to do so.  In the meanwhile, could you help me out a bit by describing your symptoms?  PMS differs greatly from one person to the next.

Thanks,

Tony
