Acid/Alakline diets and such stuff

I've read all the posts with interest. In my "heavy metal nightmare" I've found that generally for me a diet which is slightly more Alakline is better. I eat lots of fruit to support the kidneys with the Potassium and B6 in many fruits. I had 2 kidney stones passed after my cavitation surgery , so I don't want anymore of those.

But I've found that any one specific diet I tried screwed up my detox and sets me back.

So I think the best thing is to eat an all around blanceed healthy Diet that is mostly fruits and veggies with some grain, dairy, and meat.

I think all the hype from all veggie crowd and all the hype from the Price crowd is both bad advice.

If you concentrate on the meat/dairy, you miss out on the anti-oxidants, phytochemicals, and certain vitamins and don't get much fiber.

If you concentrate on the grains, you get high insulin levels and your sluggish all the time.

If you concentrate on the veggies/fruits, you don't get Vitamin D and A and certain amino acids.

So in my humble opinion, its best to eat all of them. Personally, I'm about 60 percent veggie/fruit, 20 percent grain, and 20 percent meat/dairy in a given day. I don't eat meat every day, but I do have it at least every 2 days and typically have at least a serving of dairy in a day.

I've tried avoiding one thing or another, but what I've found is my body will start to go out of balance and I'll crave stuff more and more until I have to eat it.

Cheers,
Mike
