Re: Overdosing

Do you know how to make God laugh? Tell Him your plans!

Iodine is kind of like that, in that it does what it wants to do in your body, and there are many factors that decide that, your level of health and your history of cleansing, for example. None of us can tell you what that level will do to your body.

My cousin, who is very toxic and has taken meds all her life, got a big detox in three weeks starting on one drop twice a week and just making it to two drops every other day. One drop is 6.5 mg. I was up to five drops twice a day at three weeks, and I got my first detox then. I am taking sixteen drops twice a day 5-6 days per week with hardly any detox.

You may be taking it to improve your vision, and it gives you detox through your lungs, so you know it is working on that.

60 mg per day is not a large amount to me. To my cousin, it would be an enormous amount. Do you see what I mean?

It is not so much how much you take in itself. It is how mcuh benefit you get from that amount with the least amount of discomfort from detox. One person could take 60 mg and have terrible side effects. Another could wonder when his/her progress would show. For the first month, I felt no real benefits from iodine. I only knew it was working when I got my first detox, which was chills, fever, and a big chest cold. Even after that, I could only look back and see some decrease in my fibromyalgia pain, when I was reading of other people having increased energy on a couple of drops a week.

You can only try an amount you think might help you, whether one drop or 60 mg. You should take all the companion supplements, use the salt protocol, and take breaks from iodine. You should read all the FAQs and have a plan of what do do when detox hits. The rest is management, both of dosage and of detox. At 60 mg you may feel no detox and sail right through, or you may experience massive detox and have to take more breaks and reduce your daily dosage.

Other people might have a different idea but to me, an overdose would mean that I would feel nervous, shaky, with a runny nose. for more than a week or two. At my high dose, I have never felt that. You may be different.

Does this help?
