You are correct, Wormwood is not toxic. The old wife's tale was brought about to stop the sale of Absyinth world wide. It is only a few years ago that modern bio chemistry proved that the toxic talk was BS...

As a matter of fact, the real issue is its Artimisin content. Most Wormwood sold as anthelmics today contain little or no Artimisin. Best way to ensure high Artimisin content is to buy Sweet Annie Wormwood only. This plant is an annual and reseeds itself profusely which means your harvest always contains young high Artimisin content plants.
