Hi there... the general rule with post gastric bypass is to get in your protein first and anything you have room for is a bonus. Initially after surgery I was to have 63 grams of protein each day. That was 6 years ago. My RNY is messed up - a surgical error causing me to have many problems with digestion - in short, I don't. I have the little pouch, but the created opening bypassing to my intestines is 3 times larger than my pouch - and has been all along - so nothing ever stays in my pouch. Ever.
So, in order to get in that much fruit/vegs - which I like the idea of - I would need to probably have only extremely high protein shakes or something?
