Being Anti-Social-sign of Depression?

Hello All:

My mife and son have become extremly anti-social and have developed acute sensitivity to small noises like slurpy and crunchy sounds, they actually get mad when they hear those noises, it concerns me. I know one reason is they both are introverted. They also do not want to see any friends or relatives or even pick up the phone and say hello. My wife changed after my second child and tell her to see a doctor but she would not. I aksed her to try natural rmedies to make her feel good, she thinks I am crazy. All my family members and friends are calling for two weeks to arrange for Thanksgiving dinner. My wife does not want to talk to anyone. She does talk to her brother and her parents. Other than that any other person from her family calls she does not want to speak to them. I ask her why wouldn't you want to talk to your aunt or my sister. She always replies I am not interested. Why? I just do not want to get involved with all these people. I asked her if everything at work is ok. Answer is yes, alls fine at work. So now I have to come up with excuses every time my phone rings and the person asks for my wife. I said that it was very hard for me to lie all the time. She said that tell them I do not wish to talk to them. If I tell her lets talk about this then she says that she does not have time and sits in front of TV.

Is this depression? Is this related to high Sugar intake?

Thank you.
