Re: is removal of mercury a danger as well? where is there a good dentist in MI or MA

Are you currently suffering from any illnesses?
Mercury Amalgams have been proven to expose you body to mercury whether they are physically leaking or not. They should be replaced ideally by a material biocompatible to your specific chemistry and a good composite can potentially be a good choice.
root canals are sources of infection and they will spill into your system potentially creating havoc if your immune system cannot control the infection. The suggestion is to have those teeth removed as it is a dead tooth with most likely an infection. There are been some attempts to save those root canaled teeth while eliminating infection by using ozone but it is hard to find a dentist that has that capability.
It is possible that removing mercury Amalgams create some issues as more mercury can be spilled into your body and exarcebate any symptoms you might have, but if the removal is done properly following Dr Huggins protocol with subsequent chelation (if necessary) then you should not be too concerned.
A good biological dentist in MA that follows Dr Huggins protocol on Amalgam removal and root canal extraction is Dr Evans in Groton MA.
