Re: Who moderates this forum?
I believe that ratings in a debate forum should not favor a pro nor con view, one over the other, but a post that inspires people to think... be the post pro or con should not be considered.
Ratings in a debate forum should also reflect good - great debating skills in defending a position, whether that position is pro or con...
I read glaxony's post as an individual's testimonial... valuable, yes, but not necessarily debate.
There are a great many, very valuable posts in
Debate Forums that are unrated for any number of reasons; some are great testimonies... some whole threads actually have as much or more thought provoking information in them than the support forum they are debating... both pro and con; perhaps threads should/could be rated to reflect good debate discussions.
Some of the discussions I have had with Corinthian or finallyfaith immediately come to mind. There are many others, by many others, that have as much or more value.
"Otherwise we'll think that you are leaning towards the "anti" camp...."
I read that statement as a manipulative ploy.
Yourself, Vulcanel, Trapper, Infinitelove, citingsources, hanna, uniquity, and many other strong
Iodine supporters have been given various ratings for their posts in this forum...
You can always exercise your choice to "manipulate" through the "alert good message" button and accomplish the same thing without passing such a blanket judgment on the entire forum or its moderators, which should, by its/their very nature, be unbiased.
