Re:
Was C.S. Lewis A True Believer In Jesus/Yeshua? Let's find out...
""Isn't it unChristian to spend your time worrying about the finer points of Christianity instead of pitching in to do something about the overwhelming amount of human suffering in the world? Between taking a magnifying glass to the scriptures or helping your fellow man, which do you think Jesus would advocate?""
I'm not going to spend countless hours finding Scriptures to refute your stance, but Christianity isn't defined by the opinions of antagonistic unbelievers, but rather by the leading of Scriptures. And on that note, suffice to say that we are commissioned to contend earnestly for the faith, and that means yes, going with a fine tooth comb if need be in searching out what is Godly and what is not.
Jesus advocated searching out the truth, which incidentally He said He was the way, the truth and the light.
Striving to maintain an integral course in the faith walk and living and doing for your fellow man are not mutually exclusive actions. They are mandates which some follow, some do not, we will all be accountable in the end for the love of God and man we showed.
Sounds like you have bought the religiopolitics of the neo cons. Too bad - they lied.
