Re:
Was C.S. Lewis A True Believer In Jesus/Yeshua? Let's find out...
It's valid to discuss the finer points of Christianity here or anything else for that matter. But given that Christ in broader strokes beleived in compassion, kindness and love for humanity - um shouldn't there be bigger fish to fry than pro-Christian writers that are loved the world over?
Let's just take Christian nation sanctioned murder and genocide for starters. Our Christian nation is responsible for over a million Iraqui deaths between our wars and sanctions, and that doesn't even consider our nuclear radiation of their country which has caused a massive cancer and birth defect epidemic - and is the gift that will keep giving for the next 10 thousand years. Lets not forget Afghanistan, Cuba and other unfortunate peoples that have starved because of US/UK sanctions over the years. Or the 3rd world that is kept in squalor and hopelessness largely because of multinational corporations, the world bank, UN and US efforts to insure dirt cheap labor costs and manufacturing centers.
Isn't it unChristian to spend your time worrying about the finer points of Christianity instead of pitching in to do something about the overwhelming amount of human suffering in the world? Between taking a magnifying glass to the scriptures or helping your fellow man, which do you think Jesus would advocate?
