Re: Autism & Mold

Hello again.

Re:
"
I can see, now, how it really is different. Mold seems far more aggressive than fungi.
"

By definition, molds ARE fungi. So a better way to put it could be that "mold seems a far more aggressive type of fungus". Just adding a bit of precision to your comment. Helps when understanding things, I think.

"
Thanks for the education.
"

You're welcome.

"
I mean, for example, garlic is considered anti-fungal, as well as oil of oregano, olive leaf extract, and iodine. I wonder if they would also work against mold in the body.
"

They should work against mold because molds ARE fungi by definition. What I see is that since molds seem tougher, maybe that's why most antigungals display limited action against them. There could be a more complex reason for it, but the apparent fact that "molds are tougher fungi" seems adequate enough a reason, at least for me for the time being.

"
I agree that, if I thought I had a mold infestation, I would quickly visit a doctor. I wonder, though, how I would know it.
"

Oh, that's the "easy" part. All you need is to have it revealed through direct Microscopy [visually], AND later on grown in culture from a specimen obtained doubtlessly out of you, for identification and study.

"
It seems similar to fungi.
"

Once again, by definition, Molds ARE fungi, or they share great similarities, great enough so that experts agree that they must belong to the group [kingdom] known as 'fungi'.

"
Even then, if I had some overwhelming symptom, I would see a doctor.
"

As far as I know, when 'overwhelming' symptoms do occur from Molds, it's already bad news.

"
Not that I would trust them to diagnose it properly. The last sinus infection, I had, culminated in antibiotic therapy. No blood test. Just listening to my personal speculation. I don't visit doctors often; so I obviously don't know how to interview them.
"

It seems like doc took the easy way out by assuming a bacterial infection. And [partially] he may have been right too, you know, because where there's mold, there's likely to be pretty much "anything" else. Of course, that should have been no permanent solution to your problem, IF in fact your main problem is mold.

"
I'm not really good at personal diagnosis anyway, more like speculation.
"

Unless you had a medical background of some sort, I don't see how you could be good at diagnosis. Why, as I've come to learn, even most medical doctors seem to be lacking greatly in that regard.

"
My field, now retired, is in computer science.
"

Sometimes I see Molds as some kind of 'strong branching program' [in computer terms].
They do appear to act and to behave Mathematically -personal opinion.

"
So, I speculate that I have problem based upon common symptoms of that problem.
"

One of the first things I learned quite a while back, is that [as it seems to me] most symptoms are shared by most illnesses. I think the days of diagnosing based on 'classical' signs and symptoms may be numbered.

"
Then I try different alt med protocols. I call this a shotgun approach. I believe that's what most people on curezone are doing.
"

I'm inclined to believe the same thing.

"
I am now convinced that I have some fungus infection (lifelong), rather than bacterial, causing symptoms very similar to leaky gut. I've already performed parasite cleanses. I'm shooting at anything that moves. I hope I'm not shooting at anything that is trying to help or is good for me. Collateral damage.
"

When acting for Health, Hope without Evidence is often risky, I think.

"
When I run out of protocols, that I'm willing to do, I'll try to find professional support.
"

Well, that's one way to try it.
