Re: What would you do?

i have been in a situation similar to the one you are talking about... i let go of the one that was faithful to me... and the one i left her for has been unfaithful... i really don't trust her and when i reflect on it i have moments of regret... but the one thing i have learned through it all is that it does not take another human being to make me happy... nor is it my job to make anyone else happy... (in fact there is no way possible for me to do that)... happiness is an inside job...

sounds to me like you have had a wonderful life for the past 25 years... why can't you look at all the things you have to grateful for...

one thing that i find questionable is the fact that you left 'romeo' for the man you have today... so maybe 'romeo' wasn't so hot from the git go... but yet you seem to suffering from the delusion that life is suppose to be 'happily ever after'... and it aint...!!! there is always going to be ups and downs... and as long as we have an 'ego' creating all this idiotic chaos in our heads we will never be happy... because it is the 'ego' that will always make us feel like we have missed out on something...
and the truth is the 'ego' can never be satisfied... NEVER...!!! (or briefly at best)

so... to put it simply... what i would do if i were you is "dance with the one what brung me to da dance and choose to be happy about it"...

the bottom line is...
"it's a wonderful day in the neighborhood"...
(only the 'ego' doesn't want you to know that)...
lol...
;-)
