What is Dry Fasting?
Dry fasting involves abstaining from food and water, with soft dry fasting allowing for some water contact (e.g., showering) and hard dry fasting avoiding all water contact.
Benefits and Precautions
Proponents cite improved mental clarity, increased energy levels, and the promotion of autophagy. However, it is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before starting, as dry fasting may not suit everyone.

Preparing for dry fasting is one of the most important things you can do. You are embarking on one of the hardest fasting experiences of your life. It goes without saying that dehydration is something that needs to be taken seriously. No food AND water is harder on the body than simply no food. That’s why hydrating before you start the dry fast is critical. You’ll want to make sure that you top up on your electrolytes. Most people do this by consuming Sodium (NaCl), Baking Soda (NaHCO3) Potassium (K), and Magnesium (Mg) in a 1:2:2:1 ratio. A very common home-made electrolyte drink is called Snake Juice and the recipe includes:
2L of water
1 teaspoon Potassium Chloride
1 teaspoon Sodium Bicarbonate
1/2 teaspoon Sodium Chloride
1/2 teaspoon Magnesium Sulphate
Remember not to drink this electrolyte drink too quickly or you may have to run to the washroom! You should drink this throughout the day before starting the fast.
Hi all! This is my first post on Curezone after avidly reading for years!
I have been on multiple short fasts over the last 2 years (the longest being 7 days) and I want to really experience all of the healing that comes along with a 30 day fast.
I absolutely love that zen feeling that you get during a fast, where you dont feel like you need anything but what you have in the moment. I'd like to achieve that physiological calmness but I also feel that my face is extremely bloated nowadays, I'm constantly digesting food, and I want to heal my skin to the absolute best it can be (mostly hyperpigmentation issues).
Anyways, I will start my 30 day (or hopefully longer) fast on Monday. The first 4? days or so will be dry, but i always try to keep the beginning of the fast as dry as possible for as long as I feel comfortable.
I will let you guys know of the process every single day!
I'd like to learn a little more about dry fasting. Can anyone suggest where to start? The most simple way to understand the benefits.
I got severely ill a month ago and was throwing up a lot, maybe six or seven times until there was nothing in my stomach. Naturally, without even thinking about dry fasting, I stopped having all food, liquid, and water. I did this for 1.5 days. I then slowly starting having water.
I would like to know the following...
- Anyone had success with dry fasting and teeth pain/issues?
- Does our body kick into stem cell production during dry fasting?
- I assume no supplements during dry fasting, right? No sauna or Epsom Salt baths or anything, right?
If I could get your help, I'd really appreciate it. I've been reading CZ for several years but I really haven't posted.
Dry Fasting Journey for Vitality, Spiritual Clarity and Weightloss
Hello all, I am a 26 year old female. Tomorrow I turn 27!
I apologize in advance for spelling errors as I am trying to get this out as quickly as possible to keep the momentum going. I am Canadian and grew up using Canadian-American keyboards and the one I’m currently uising is Croatian. The apostrophe symbol is replaced with a Ć and the Z and Y buttons are switched. The colon symbol is replaced with Č. There are more differences you will discover as you read this post.

Hello,
I was wondering does anybody know how much more potent an absolute fast is compared to a soft dry fast. I've completed several of the latter, never going beyond 3-4 days but I've always showered and brushed my teeth. There are times I've even found myself prolonging the showers unintentionally, for up to twenty minutes at a time. Does completely eliminating all contact with water bolster autophagy and if so, to what degree?
I've also read that fasting in general has limited effect on thyroid function which is primarily the reason for my doing it in the first place. Is that true?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

This is my fourth day on my dry fast. I recently just started having clear urine come out as opposed to having a light yellowish kind which has been typical of the last 3 days. Is this a sign to end the fast? If I haven't been hydrating, why is my urine now clear. Thoughts, suggestions, and kind words are of high welcome. Thanks Family.

The body produces about 1 liter of its own new water each day on a dry fast. I am just going to offer my opinion here which is that i would think that very light colored urine on a dry fast is not a bad sign at all and i would be much more concerned if it was very dark. Kind regards :).
I've done two dry fasts of 2 days; am currently into 20 hours of a 3-day projected dry fast.
I do it mainly so as to sustain my long-term Water Fast goals: that is, completion, or a "finished fast", because I don't feel nausea while on dry fast.
Question:
Isn't it suspicious that not a shred of evidence can be found in support of Filonov's - highly tendentious - claims, in English, by a SCIENTIST (this term excludes everybody on this site)?
Just a tad suspicious?
Could someone make my day and prove me wrong?
Remember: scientist! armed with proof, evidence, facts; and not the speculation, wishful thinking, nay! magical thinking that abounds here and elsewhere in the Bullshit-O-sphere of the internet.

Yes, it is safe to transition from dry to water fasting.
But, very small amount of water at any given time, not to overload your stomach.
Any symptoms that may appear, may be due to the content of your large intestine.
Okay, thank you!

I'm continuing on with the dry fast I'm am just trying to prepare for some type of exit once I'm ready. My mouth is still moist but I miss water. I'm trying to last up to 14 days, minimum 11. I suspect parasites and I'm trying my best to rid myself of them and PCOS.
During my long Water Fast I passed several extremely large parasites and I am wondering if I have more inside.
I am a bit concerned about the fact that I have not had any bowel movements.
Divine Powers Ram Bahadur Bomjon Full Documentary 2014
Ram Bahadur Bomjon (born c. 9 April 1990, sometimes spelled Bomjan, Banjan, or Bamjan), also known as Palden Dorje (his monastic name) and now Dharma Sangha, is from Ratanapuri village, Bara district, Nepal. Some of his supporters have claimed that he is a reincarnation of the Buddha, but Ram himself has denied this, and many practitioners of Buddhism agree that the Buddha has entered nirvana and cannot be reborn.
He drew thousands of visitors and media attention by spending months in meditation. Nicknamed the Buddha Boy, he began his meditation on May 16, 2005. He reportedly disappeared from the hollow tree where he had been meditating for months on March 16, 2006, but was found by some followers a week later. He told them he had left his meditation place, where large crowds had been watching him, "because there is no peace".
He then went his own way and reappeared elsewhere in Nepal on December 26, 2006, but left again on March 8, 2007.
On March 26, 2007, inspectors from the Area Police Post Nijgadh in Ratanapuri found Bomjon meditating inside an underground chamber of about seven square feet.
Boy Resists Fire through Meditation, Footage, Spiritual Alchemy?
A miracle of a young 15 year old boy who went into a deep meditation for 6 years straight without eating or drinking anything..
In this video some footage of him resisting fire is shown..
Ram Bahadur Bomjon shares a spiritual message at the end of the video, an expression of his essence of being.
The adepts of the East have known all these powers for thousands of years and there are countless stories of these christ like figures..
Even Jesus himself, there are stories and claims that he learned meditation, and was not crucified, rather faked his death to fool the establishment and went to india/tibet to follow the Master Path of tibetan Alchemy ( mastering meditational ability )
Mysterious yet powerfully informing to all people that the powers of meditation is REAL.
Heyhey, quick question to experienced dry fastest. I'm coming up to the 11 day mark. When the second crisis has passed and all is calm I'm so keen to go swimming in a beautiful cold natural pool up in the mountains, it's been signing to me. Can I have a nice long swim the day I break my fast? I assume my body will just take what it wants and that's that? I'll have broken the fast early am, and swim pm if its not advisable.
