  Since childhood, I had problems with cold sores and oral herpes outbreaks. These continued up until about the year 2001, just after I started zapping.
  
  I realized the other day, when reading another post that I have not had a herpes outbreak or cold sore since the time that I started zapping and that was 19 years ago!

Hello there,
My Grandma has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver and is currently suffering from most of the main symptoms associated with such a disease with the main concern being hepatic encephalopathy/her mental state (she currently suffers from bouts of confusion throughout the day and struggles to complete sentences). After being told by many a doctor that there is nothing further that could be done I have decided to take a pro-active approach and search elsewhere for a possible cure or way to treat the symptoms associated with the disease. I have grown up with my Grandma all my life and she means a great deal to me so I would REALLY appreciate any help or suggestions put forward by any members of this forum on how to possibly cure, treat or reverse some of the symptoms associated with this terrible illness.

    There are a number of things a person can
    do to prevent cirrhosis:
    (1)Since the number one cause of cirrhosis
    is alcohol consumption...this would mean
    eliminate it or at least don't overdue it.
    (2)People can develop a fatty liver from
    alcohol and also from being overweight,
    so eatting a healthy Diet with the right kinds
    of fats, like olive oil...would be good.
    (3)Stay away from exposure to hazardous
    chemicals. If you read the labels on them,
    you will know which ones to avoid. The
    main one is carbon tetrachloride.
    (4) Take only medication approved by
    the doctor or prescribed by him. Most
    all medication go through the liver first
    to be broken down before going to the
    rest of the body. There are so many drugs,
    even prescribed ones, that are very hard on
    the liver. Liver patients are told to tell
    their doctors all over the counter, herbs,
    herbal teas, vitamins, mineral, muscle
    building products, and medications prescribed by other doctors. They are not
    to take any medication unless the doctor
    weighs the pros and cons of it, cause once
    the liver becomes damaged..it isn't able
    to handle the drugs the same way as it used
    to and can cause even more injury to the
    cells.
    (5) Most people know that they should wash
    their hands frequently and use purell or
    germ-x or some other product when they
    cannot. This is to prevent not only illness,
    but can sometimes prevent a virus also.
    They should not eat at open salad bars where people can cough or sneeze into
    them or where someone may handle
    something with unclean hands. They should
    also be aware that anyone who is in contact
    with someone elses blood or uses a needle
    they use, can contact one of the Hepatitis
    virus like A,B,C,Etc.
    (6) Do not eat mushrooms you pick yourself..mushrooms can cause immediate damage to the liver itself if you get a poison one.
    
    Other causes of liver cirrhosis cannot be
    prevented or at least they do not know
    how to prevent them: like biliary obstruction,
    gallstones, mal formation of the biliary
    ducts coming from the liver, hereditary
    conditions, auto immune disease.
    
    I hope this information has been of some
    help to you. The links I provided have
    a wealth of information and are easy to
    read.
    
    The symptoms of the disease cannot be
    prevented. They usually appear once
    the liver cells are no longer functioning well
    and some of them start to die off. They
    can only treat the symptoms with medication to try to control it or to ease
    them...that is all. This is a very progressive
    disease and the symptoms will worsen

  I don't know how your Grandma is doing but I hope she's still hanging in there... my husband has cirrhosis and was hospitalized for encephalopathy at the beginning of the year, but he is doing much better now. His MELD score was 17 and just 3 months later it was a 9, thanks to alternative treatments (which were NOT suggested by doctors... we had to do our own research... thank God for the internet!). I just wanted to tell you, I learned a few things that can help. Probiotics definitely help, and can cut the risk for encephalopathy in half. Hi folks - I do not have hep-C (but my son does). If I did have it (or hep-A or hep-B), here is what I would do: First of all, I would NOT take MMS. It might work, but I have just seen too many reports of how tricky it can be to use and side effects I would not want to face. Now, I cannot swear that what I would take would result in ultimately never testing positive for Hep-C (even if the virus is completely cleared it may take a long time for the antibodies that will trigger a positive test to ultimately disappear from the body); however, I can pretty much gua ...   I caught hep c approximatly 30 years ago. Five years ago I nearly died. I was pooping yellow, peeing brown, my shoulder joints ached so bad I couldn't lift my arms to put on a t-shirt, I was wheezing with every breath and it was getting worse every day, there was something stinging me my throat right when I drifted off to sleep and keeping me awake at night, I got a crick in my neck that extending down my back and I couldn't turn my head, I had to turn my whole body.
  
  I have done almost everything you've listed except the Oleander soup and Colloidal Silver . Two things I did that really helped, which you did not mention, are bloodroot and hoxey. Bloodroot is a tough protocol, so be sure and check with the bloodroot forum before you try it.
  
  I feel better today than I did when I was in high school. My viral load count is barely above 200K. The liver doctor told me that most of her patients are in the millions. It has taken me five years to detox my system to this degree and I see no reason why I can't get my viral load down to zero by continuing to do what I've been doing.

    A really good source of bloodroot, imo, is the Blood Support product formulated by Jon Barron. I would say that it is featured in many places on my website, but that would be advertising - lol.

    Have you or anyone else taken this? I've been on it for 2 months and boy, does it give you the energy. It has been a lifesaver for me because I was to the point where ai was sleeping 12-15 hours a day and was lucky to get out of bed to go to work. My Dr. has been writing an Rx for 100mg of C Glycyrrhizine for a couple of years. He had me take 3 a day. This drug works wonders for the liver reducing swelling and inflammation and it even has anti viral properties. Search Goggles for Glycyrrhizin and Hepatitis C, you will find some startling results.
My insurance was paying for the prescription at a reasonable rate. In 2012 the medication co pay started to rise and now Blue Cross Blue Shield which uses CVS Caremark as their filling drug supplier has my co pay at 45%. Now my co pay is about $200. A month!
I have found a source for the white sweet powder and know the dose 100Mg 3 times a day. Is there anyone on this board that can confirm the Gliz that I can buy kelos of is the same strength and quality?

Abstract
In Japan, hepatitis C virus (HCV) is the single most frequent cause of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), resulting in yearly deaths of over 30,000. Although the mechanism of how HCV induces HCC is not clear, persistent HCV infection and necro-inflammatory changes in chronic hepatitis C accelerate the development of liver cirrhosis and can eventuate in HCC. Hence, means of eradicating HCV as well as suppressing inflammation in the liver, even if patients stay infected with HCV, would decrease the incidence of HCC with chronic hepatitis C. For more than 40 years, a preparation of glycyrrhizin [Stronger Neo-Minophagen C (SNMC)] has been used for the treatment of 'allergic' hepatitis in Japan. In 1977, intravenous injection with SNMC was started in patients with chronic hepatitis or liver cirrhosis, most of whom have turned out to be infected with hepatitis viruses. In a multicenter double-blind study, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels decreased in the patients who received 40 ml/day of SNMC for 4 weeks at a rate significantly higher (p < 0.001) than controls receiving placebo. Furthermore, SNMC 100 ml/day for 8 weeks improved liver histology in 40 patients with chronic hepatitis, in correlation with improved ALT levels in serum. Liver cirrhosis occurred less frequently in 178 patients on long-term SNMC than in 100 controls (28 vs. 40% at year 13, p < 0.002). Finally, HCC developed less frequently in the 84 patients on long-term SNMC than in the 109 controls (13 vs. 25% at year 15, p < 0.002). Combined, these results indicate that a long-term treatment with SNMC prevents the development of HCC in the patients with chronic hepatitis. SNMC is particularly helpful in the patients with chronic hepatitis C who fail to respond to interferon and in those who cannot be treated with it for various reasons.

  Though your first ever message to this site, cross posted to no less than 6 forums, contains some useful information, it and the site you included the link to include recommendations to get the Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A vaccinations (holy thimerosal!) as well as recommending interferon - a chemotherapy drug with a success rate of perhaps 5% and horrific side effects?

I'm 37 y.o. I was diagnosed with Gilbert's this Fall after having high total bilirubin (1.9) while everything else was normal. Everyone tells me 1.9 is not high enough such that you would appear jaundiced, but I swear when I look in the mirror I have a yellow tinge, and the skin on my face itches a little. It concerns me that I'm having a lot of symptoms, when doctors assure me it is not a condition that causes any problem or requires any treatment. That makes me feel like something else is wrong with me - something worse, and it's just not diagnosed yet (anyone else worry that they're dying?)

My most problematic symptom is a feeling that the skin on my face/head is burning. My head feels hot when the rest of my body can be cold. If I had the energy to exercise, the discomfort of having a hot head makes me not want to make it worse. This is not the same as flushing - I'm not red in the face, and it's not just in my cheeks. It's a hot/burning feeling from my neck up to my scalp. I don't see anyone talk about this symptom but I hate it.

I have fatigue. I'm groggy in the morning and get drowsy in the afternoon. I also have mild sleep apnea, though, so it's had to know which is caused by what.

I have a fairly chronic upset stomach, and I go to the bathroom more often - sometimes diarrhea, pale-colored (sorry to be gross).

Now I'm also going through a year-long slow taper withdrawal from benzodiazepines (anxiety medication) and this is documented to cause people huge physiological withdrawal symptoms. I cannot find a link between this withdrawal and an onset of GS, but I find it curiously coincidental that this came about at the same time. Maybe the extra anxiety I feel from the lack of meds in my system triggered the Gilbert's to express itself - I dunno. I'd be very happy to hear from other people who experience the same cluster of symptoms I have, and if you do anything that helps. I've been trying milk thistle - but I don't notice any remarkable difference.

  Have the necessary tests and if they all come back all clear move on . I have found oranges as a good mechanism to reduce Biliruben if your stomach can tolerate them. Try not to worry I know it can be hard but your mind is also very affective in manifesting symptoms to suit your illness.
  
  I too suffer from GS and have had 4 bouts of high BR over my lifetime in blood currently about 1.85. I believe my most recent bought had been brought on by work stress and physical stress.
  
  At its worst I had typical GS symptoms for about 4 yrs. At it shortest they have lasted about 6 months.
  
  Also stop all Alcohol consumption while you try to get your liver back to as normal as possible ( for me that was lowest total BR reading of about 1.2)
