Hi Michelle,
Similar to others, I benefit from exercise. When I became severely sick two years ago, I had to stop weight training...it was too much, but I did not know why at the time.
The importance of exercise involves the lymphatic system, and its' ability to discharge toxins. Though this system works similar to the bodys' circulatory system, it requires some form of exercise to aid its' circulation throughout the body. Dry brushing, body massages, hot/cold showers help as well. Essentially, the lymphatic system acts as a garbage collector, which cleanses the organs and bodily tissues in general. Also, it directly impacts the immune system which is required to fight various pathogens....bacteria, viruses etc.

An excerpt from the above stated site:
To improve elimination through the skin, regular exercise is important to stimulate sweating. Exercise helps overall with detoxification and also improves our general metabolism. Regular aerobic exercise is a key to maintaining a nontoxic body in our toxic environment. On the other hand, exercise increases the production of toxins in the body, so it must be accompanied by consuming a lot of water, antioxidants, and vitamin and mineral replenishment.
Take Care.....Alex
