Hello all, Pardon to brother the community with the perils of my fast once again - but I really want to get the best info so I can perfect this fast as much as I possibly can.
I am 6 days away from completing my 30 day Water Fast in a series of other smaller fasts to shrink and remove a polycystic ovaries and larger ovarian cyst.
I am wanting to check the result of my fast by way of ultrasound/sonograph and am making arrangements.
Should I check this immediately as soon as I re-feed as in the next day, or should I re-feed for a month?
In one way I want to see the results directly after the fast before I get into the refeeding, however on the other hand I am cautious of what the medical staff will say about my scary appearance (I look like I have chronic anorexia) Will they try to hold me hostage and admit me or something?
Is there any quick and fast rules to this? My partner wants me to book the appointment the day after I break my fast to get the most accurate picture of what my fast actually achieved.... Re-feeding might hamper the picture - but I really want to hear the best way from others out there who have done this kind of thing.
Please note I have planned my re-feeding very strategically and slowly over 4 weeks on almost entirely plants... (I don't ever eat processed)
Can any of the fasting veterans give me the heads up of what they did to see the effectiveness of their fasts?
My GP already thinks my alternative methods are extreme but she is quite polite about it.
Pardon me for asking the forums for every little thing... I just really want to make sure my 30 days was not in vein and that I did all the protocols correctly.

This is a reply to # 2,340,064I would want to see the results right before I break my fast. I would not care what medical industry people think of your looks after fasting for a long time. I would laugh at them, since they do not know the magic of fasting.
Also be prepared, if all your cysts are not gone, then refeed for thirty to forty days in raw plant based diet and then fast again.
Best wishes, great job in doing 25 days fast with handling children, cooking, etc.

All booked in.
Will break my fast Monday night at 8:30pm on diluted organic Orange juice, then maybe another sip or two before bed. God Willing!
The very next morning I depart my rural property for the 3.5 hour long drive to get ultrasound. (this was the earliest appointment with female sonographer).
So the fast will theoretically be broken but still only very early days on liquid. I may have been a bit too weak to make the trip if it were in the last days of my fast. I am quite weak, not able to complete my 2km walks, only doing about 800m-1km these days.
Is there anything I should consider to keep my energies for the journey? is there any specific liquids I should take? I'm fully stocked with just about every organic fruit and veg my heart desires courtesy of my partner (I think he is concerned and looking forward to me refeeding).
So anything specific? or just keep to the organic organic orange juice or try a veg juice? obviously nothing solid at that stage or is that ok?

This is a reply to # 2,340,456I would rest, stay warm, drink warm water. No walks at this point.
For your journey, coconut water, if you get fresh coconut, Vegetable broth, tomato juice. Obviously, you want to drink juices fresh and not keep them in your car for the journey. Keep oranges and lemons that can be squizzed to get the juice out and consume it right away.
In between, water is a must. You are traveling for 7 hours considering both ways, you must prepare for that. If you sucked on an orange every time you got hungry, should be fine. So before you leave drink some vegetable broth, then you can be on oranges and lemons.
I eat a whole lemon when I brake my fasts.

Going to an organic-type hub location so might pick up fresh on the way also..
will be pleased to see some positive results and am making prayers for such.
but... in the event that there is nothing changed I find solace in having gone through the experience and I advocate it for all... despite all the ups and downs.

Last night my partner said that he thought it was best that I end the fast 24 hours early.
It was terribly sad for me, but I complied I supposed my judgement isn't going to be the best and he knows probably how to look after me, better than me at these times so I trust his judgement.
It was decided as there will be diminishing returns for the next 24 hours - what hasn't already been achieved may not be achieved in the next 24 hours. I was very weak, extreme low body weight (BMI 14 and a little over 40kg), at times incoherent, in extreme discomfort, and this morning experiencing heart pains.
It just wouldn't have been worth it for my family to see me struggle through that time (although I was prepared to do so) - It was quite hard for my partner and little ones emotionally..
I have had ½ lemon in water, and diluted orange juice and in 2 hours will have another half cup of juice.
I already feel less like a rotting corpse and more like a human being.
I wonder if this 24 will take away from my Autolysation? or is it unlikely?

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.
There was essential little to no difference. At all. Whatsoever... after 30 DAYS!... there was just as much change from my previous 10 day fast!!
Still polycystic in one ovary and a haemorrhagic cyst in the other. The change in size after 30 days of fasting was DECIMAL 5 MM... (same as cc)
I am still happy, content and satisfied with the fast, and all the countless benefits I hopefully gained and achieved.
My body ate essentially every single thing- fat, muscle, whatever it possibly could around just about everywhere... but "Naaah, we'll just leave the cyst right cosy where it is"
Now I'm left looking like a recovering anorexic, with a nice cyst too!
I make light, but it was.... a rather sobering, sombre and solemn moment. I try to put on a stoic composure... But when realising that even after re-feeding I am faced with another 30 day ordeal to drag my family (and myself) through - only to yield a few millimetre difference in the cyst... how many of those must I do?? at this rate it would be a total of 5!!! with God only knows how much re-feeding....so maybe a year? can my body cope? my family don't think so... and emotionally I don't think it is a viable option for all parties (partner/children), even if can force myself physically... It would be very difficult upon them.. And its frightening for everyone when I barely function at just a few hundred grams over 41kgs....surely there is more of an answer!
WHY? there must be a reason that the body is not autolysing these things?
ANYONE out there know?
Grateful for my circumstance and everything from The Creator. Submitting to the Will of God (the 'power' if you will)... just wanting to seek answers and info from those who would be in knowledge of such a thing.

Sadly, you are the 4th out of 4 people here who have not experienced autolysis after lengthy fasts.
Rawrnr was in the same situation as you. Three fasts of >20 days each. Reduced to no remaining flesh other than the cyst, but no change in the cyst.
It appears that a cyst is what the body walls off and quarantines, which means it is not autolyzed either.
Shelton's book makes it seem that autolysis is deliberate and almost guaranteed. But over here, myself, rawrnr, Archus, and now you, all did fasts only to see no change in cysts..

This is a reply to # 2,341,350One would think: Cysts being normally of a softer nature then some of the harder fibroids and tumours would be easier the cannibalise so to speak than a harder natured growth. I mean, we are essentially dealing with a fluid sack, mine is haemorrhaging inside itself which is a lovely feature... I wonder why the body is in a sense protecting and preserving this abnormality? As crazy as it sounds I am seriously considering another 30 day fast as soon as I can. (Fasting today as I just need to take a few steps back in my re-feeding as I am a little inflamed)
The cyst has been there - the same one - since around 2009.
It was 5cmx4cm at one point. Its down to about 2cmx1.5cm... so yes its slowly getting smaller over many many years but fasting seems to do nothing to accelerate it. And there are still many polycysts forming regularly.

For that matter: Do you believe that Iodine Therapy has greater potential for resolving cysts in general?
If/if not, why so?
I am curious to hear what the forum has to say on this matter?

I had a HUGE cyst 18x23cm free floating... more like a sack of fat...
Im 5'8" 135 usually so not overweight at all...
No one could even tell I had it...
I fasted 3 times in 3 years 20-25 days. I ate raw food for months...
In the end I just had surgery... because the fasting did NOTHING!

At that size (considering your frame) Im sure it would have been uncomfortable at the very least... Thank God you are feeling better and healthy! I am pleased to hear it has improved your quality of life...
But for myself...
I have been warned by all the non-allopathic health specialists to avoid being cut open like the plague!
You see all this started when I was very young...19.
I had a difficult pregnancy, then 43 hours labour (because they forced my into synthetic unnatural labour instead of letting my body do its thing!!!)... in the end against my wishes they had to cut my baby out of me (butchery)... then... I had several huge mass haemorrhages and almost died a few times...and had to have 24 blood transfusions as I was loosing too much blood and the nurses would cry at the sight of me!.. I had to have my womb removed just to survive (at such a young age!!!). because of their butchery.
Then 2 years later COINCIDENTALLY (lol not!) my ovaries started cysting... I believe it is all from their bogus butchery... I asked my old gyno who performed they operation about this... He calmly said my ovaries are "end" organs and thus provide no function... what a total (insert appropriate word here)!!!
The only way now they will be able to butcher me again is if I am a stone cold corps... they will have to catch me first!
They don't actually know anything except to chop things out... NOT ME... they can experiment around all they like but they will never take another one of my body parts again God Willing! The cysts aren't my body parts - but they are pretty close to the only organs that are keeping me a female... so Im understandably pretty savage and territorial over them. Im only 30 and I have many years left of being a woman and enjoying my femininity without more of their bogus medical synthetic HRT that they push... Id rather live withs cysts then let them poke around with scalpels and the like!
Many people usually have the cysts grow back after surgery, and cellular oxidisation occurs as a result of the procedure which increases risk of cancer.
I would prefer to actually die fasting from trying to do it naturally then become another statistic from the over-confidant medical profession who profess to know about healing and health when they know nothing of the sort...
lol end rant hehehe
so long story short in a nutshell... Medical profession have caused bad blood with me and I am not going there again.
Plants, flowers, peace, love, butterflies and all pretty natural things including pineapples... but not ever their awful clinical ways!!!

I totally understand where you are coming from not wanting anything to do with the butchers!
Either did I... I tried everything... TCM, naturopath... NUMEROUS supplements, massage, juice fasting, raw vegan (Im a 23 year vegan) Accupuncture, meditation,visualization.. even went to india to a guru for help... NOTHING worked... aftermy 3 or 4th 21 say Water Fast I had an MRI and even tho I looked completely anorexic at 108 from 138... the cyst/tumor was BIGGER!
I was aware of it for 4 years before I had surgery.. trying everything to prevent it... last MRI my doctor showed me the image and i FREAKED!!
It didnt hurt and i couldnt feel it but it took up a HUGE space in my body!! From the lower rib to the pubic bone,,, from the middle of my belly out to the side... all my organs were crushed to one side of my body.. I saw it and asked her... how am i functioning like nothing is wrong... she replied.. I have no idea... that was when I agreed to GET IT OUT!!

That must have been a hard situation.. Yes they too try to MRI me... but I stubbornly refuse and only agree to the Ultrasound, due to the radiation being like 300 or more X-rays in one sitting.
I imagine that MRI would have cause you concern.
I guess when it came to preserving your other organs it was the choice you were faced with.
It is hard and can be disheartening when all attempts seem to be getting nowhere slowly.
But I look at it this way: Its my test from The Creator. How will I react? am I going to be patient and remain steadfast... or am I going to throw in the towel and forget about being grateful for all the other blessings I have been bestowed with... And I am of the same school of thought as the Old Granny that Archus reported who died with the cyst that weren't bothering her. I totally release this situation to my Creator. He chose this circumstance for me and He alone will sustain me through it. In Him I rely and put all my trust...
And fasting just concretes that more into my heart...
And despite feeling like a receiving annorexic who's body still rejects almost all food I put into it - lol.... I can't wait to back some lean muscle mass and then go back into my intermittent fasting on a perm basis.... AND YES! more longer fasts planned as soon as I can reach a normal weight!!
But I totally relate to your story and my heart goes out to you!
I say keep doing the fasting - Modern man hasn't yet made all the measuring instruments and apparatus BUT I KNOW we are benefitting more that we can even measure from fasting...

Fasting is not a cure all. You will have to decide to get healthy or die of starvation. It's obvious fasting is not helping you. Accept that and do something else.
I avoided surgery for 4 years and tried everything... I was at peace knowing I had done that and my final option was what I did... how long are you going to wait???
Yes.. doctors are knife happy. Yes,, I despise them as much as you. BUT sometimes,,,,, when nothing else works, they can help!

Nothing to be afraid of.
Fasting has -albeit painfully slowly- shrank the cysts. Thank God they are small... BUT still there and still forming!
Fasting is a brilliant cure- and heals so much!
I WILL be doing the Iodine protocol which should have some positive outcomes God willing.
I do my best with my health for myself and my little ones, and my partner is forever tending to my (never ending, extravagant) health needs... We are always persistently trying our best with all of our health.... But ultimately we know we are not personally in control of everything in this universe and we humbly submit to that cold hard fact.... Whatever WE DO have control over - we work our selves very hard to achieve.
Children dying is an atrocity. If anyone of us knew what was truly going on to children in some parts of the wild right now it would make your heart so Much that you'd not be able to leave bed. It makes my heart shake... But we have limited control over that.... We only have control over limited things in our own proximity. It's not scary it's reality. So I just focus on what I can change actively and submit to whatever is not within my scope. The anger/hatred/resentment of that beyond my scope will destroy the heart spiritually and health.
Death is at any second for anyone (freak accidents/or anything) ... So we do what we can to better out health while we're still here.
I do admire your bravery for submitting to surgery after even tripping to India seeking a cure! It is very commendable....
