I am having the same problems but i also get a bump sometimes that also burns and itches either on my face or neck usually this is driving me nuts i cant help but to itch it because sometimes i feel a small short pain and my instinct is ro itch or cry. Okay, you just might have scabies.
You have to remember that if you 'drink caffeinated drinks or eat any form of Sugar that just 'sends them into an incredible tizzy of a whirlwind of 'activity'!!!

Get online and buy some 'Naturasil' Scabies Topical Cream/Sulfur Lavendar soap at 'naturasil'.
Key to all this is killing the eggs! I have the same thing and have no clue to the cause. I have found that lowering the temperature in my bedroom does offer some relief, at least enough so I can sleep. It doesn't have to be freezing, but opening a window in the Spring/Fall or turning on the air conditioner in the summer is the only reliable thing I found to help. I'm going to prescribe something you may think is crazy, but it may be your cure. The irregular heartbeat is what clued me in. You probably have a potassium and magnesium deficiency. These two deficiencies can cause itching and crawling sensations on your skin and heart rhythm irregularities. I noticed you cite an "extremely stress-full period of time" you endured. This sounds to me that your nervous system has been compromised. I myself suffered a nervous breakdown due to extreme stress at work, however leading up to that period in my life I suffered longtime with horrific IBS type symptoms and general toxicity. The tingling/biting under the skin sensation is your nervous system. I has this problem for years. It felt like insects my skin all the time, crawling sensations followed by a nearby itchy "bite". I tried Antibiotics , Sulphur ointments and soaps, and anti- parasite treatments.

The problem ended up being likely a candida infection, and the "fix" for it ended up being a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water, twice a day. (It worked amazingly, within 5 minutes.). If you need, you can suppliment this treatment with borax-and-hydrogent peroxide baths. Both did wonders.

I suspect that baking soda works because candida secretes a digestive enzyme that works best in more acid environments and breaks down quickly in more basic environments.

I have this as well. In a nutshell there isn't any bug biting you, I guarantee you. It's much bigger than that. I can't post the link for some reason but search up on YouTube: HOW TO NATURALLY GET RID OF YEAST AND BAD BACTERIA. It's a internal problem, that has a lot to do with your digestive & immune system. I recommend getting an allergy test and drink a lot of water. I'm in the process of curing myself so I can't tell you what exactly works but it all makes sense.
