The small picture here is a surgically removed gallbladder, laying on a surgical cloth, that has been dissected showing an organ that is suppose to approximately 1 1/2" in length that is FULL of pea-green stones.
The large picture is to show those same pea-green kind of stones that were flushed from the gallbladder or liver. Notice the quarter on the plate.
Gallstones can be safely and painlessly flushed from the bilary system, when proper steps are taken.
This group is to educate "Barefooters" on those safe steps.
"Cleaning the liver bile ducts is the most powerful procedure that you can do to improve your body's health.
"But it should not be done before the parasite program, and for best results should follow the kidney cleanse." - Hulda Clark
From the personal experience of blogging with over a 1000 flushers over the last 3+ yrs, I'd would be so bold as to add beginning a Colon Cleanse to open the bowels for best elimination of toxins released during a flush! Reabsorbed toxins can make you feel like the devil!!
Modern society has created a sad state for our over-processed livers. Anytime we overeat or eat processed or fried foods, and, anytime we are exposed to environmental pollutants or stress, the liver becomes overworked and overloaded. When the liver is taxed, it cant process toxins and fat in an efficient way. There are many foods that can help cleanse the liver naturally by stimulating the natural ability to clean toxic waste from the body. In the past, I have discusses my favorite cleansing foods. This list is a little more specific and focuses mainly on foods that can help cleanse your liver. In addition to taking a liver-cleansing supplement, and performing at least two liver and gallbladder cleanses per year, eating the following foods is the best way to keep your liver healthy and functioning the way you need it to. I would encourage you to incorporate these liver cleanse foods into your weekly diet. Just a small amount of this pungent white bulb has the ability to activate liver enzymes that helps your body flush out toxins. Garlic also holds high amounts of allicin and selenium, two natural compounds that aid in liver cleansing. High in both vitamin C and antioxidants, grapefruit increasea the natural cleansing processes of the liver. A small glass of freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice will help boost production of liver detoxification enzymes that help flush out carcinogens and other toxins. Both extremely high in plant-flavonoids and beta-carotene, eating both beets and carrots can help stimulate and improve overall liver function. This liver-loving beverage is chock-full of plant antioxidants known as catechins, a constituent known to assist the livers overall functions. Green tea is not only delicious, it’s also a great way to improve your overall diet. Learn more about the benefits of green tea. One of our most powerful allies in cleansing the liver, leafy greens can be eaten raw, cooked or juiced. Extremely high in plant chlorophylls, greens literally suck up environmental toxins from the blood stream. With their distinct ability to nuetralize heavy metals, chemicals and pesticides, these cleansing foods offer a powerful protective mechanism for the liver. Try incorporating leafy greens such as bitter gourd, arugula, dandelion greens, spinach, mustard greens and chicory into your diet. This will help increase the creation and flow of bile, the substance that removes waste from the organs and blood. This nutrient-dense super-food helps the body produce glutathione, which is necessary for the liver to cleanse harmful toxins. Recent studies indicate improved liver health when avocados are eaten regularly. High in pectin, apples hold the chemical constituents needed for the body to cleanse and release toxins from the digestive tract. This, in turn, makes it easier for the liver to handle the toxic load during the cleansing process.
List of Foods that Cleanse the Liver
1. Garlic
2. Grapefruit
3. Beets and Carrots
4. Green Tea
5. Leafy Green Vegetables
6. Avocados
7. Apples
Cold-pressed organic oils such as olive, hemp and flax-seed are great for the liver, when used in moderation. They help the body by providing a lipid base that can suck up harmful toxins in the body. In this way, it takes some of the burden off the liver in terms of the toxic overload that many of us suffer from.
Grains, such as brown rice, are rich in B-complex vitamins, nutrients known to improve overall fat metabolization, liver function and liver decongestion. If possible, do not eat foods with white flour, instead try eating whole wheat alternatives.
10. Cruciferous
Eating broccoli and cauliflower will increase the amount of glucosinolate in your system, adding to enzyme production in the liver. These natural enzymes help flush out carcinogens, and other toxins, out of our body which significantly lowers our risk of cancer.
These citrus fruits contain very high amounts of the vitamin C, which aids the body in synthesizing toxic material into substance that can be absorbed by water. Drinking freshly-squeezed lemon or lime juice in the morning helps stimulate the liver.
Holding high amount of the amino acid arginine, walnuts aid the liver in detoxifying ammonia. Walnuts are also high in glutathione and omega-3 fatty acids which support normal Liver Cleansing actions. Make sure you chew the nuts well (until they are liquefied) before swallowing.
Much like broccoli and cauliflower, eating cabbage helps stimulate the activation of two crucial liver detoxifying enzymes that help flush out toxins. Try eating more kimchi, coleslaw, cabbage soup and sauerkraut.
The liver’s favorite spice. Try adding some of this detoxifying goodness into your next lentil stew or veggie dish for an instant liver pick-me-up. Turmeric helps boost liver detox, by assisting enzymes that actively flush out known dietary carcinogens.
Other liver cleanse foods not listed above are artichoke, asparagus, kale and brussel sprouts. Eating the foods listed above is a great way to keep your liver functioning properly. However, for the best results, I would recommend doing a liver cleanse. Doing a liver cleanse at least twice a year will eliminate any foreign substances that may be trapped in your liver.
(NaturalNews) The liver is an organ that removes toxins and other harmful substances from the body, allowing the body to function without experiencing the
many illnesses and other harmful side effects that these toxins can cause. For this reason, it is crucial that individuals periodically detoxify their
livers. One of the most common and effective natural liver detoxifiers is the beet. Beets have been used to fight liver toxins and to increase the overall
level of health of individuals for many years, and they can be easily integrated into one`s diet to keep the liver working at an optimal level.
Beets are beneficial to one's health for many reasons, as they are a high-antioxidant vegetable that contains a number of important substances, including:
betaine, betalains, fiber, iron, betacyanin, folate, and betanin. Pectin, which is a fiber found in beets, can also help clean the toxins that have been
removed from the liver, allowing them to be flushed out of the system instead of reabsorbed by the body. Because of this property, many medical
professionals encourage individuals to eat beets raw without juicing them, so that these fibers can be ingested as completely as possible. This is not
difficult, as they can be baked, grated, or roasted as well as eaten alone or incorporated into other dishes.
However, beet juice can be highly beneficial, as it allows the betaine to stay intact. Betaine is the substance that encourages the liver cells to get rid
of toxins. Additionally, betaine acts to defend the
and bile ducts, which are important if the liver is to function properly. This particular substance is also said by some to decrease the risk of coronary
and cerebral artery diseases, as it lowers inflammation in the body, allowing the many systems to work without interruption.
Additionally,
have been linked to the healing of the liver, a decrease in homocysteine, an improvement in stomach acid production, prevention of the formation of
free-radicals in LDL, and the prevention of lung, liver, skin, spleen, and colon cancer. Though these health benefits are not directly linked to the
detoxification of the liver, they allow the
as a whole to work more efficiently. Because the systems of the body are all intertwined and rely upon one another to work properly, this indirectly
affects the ability of the liver to rid itself of toxins and continue to work at an optimal level.
The recommended serving of beets varies depending upon the source, so the best way to go about integrating them into a diet is to start the day with beet
juice instead of coffee, to add grated beets to salads and other dishes where appropriate, and to include a baked or roasted beet as a side dish with
dinner as often as possible.
People who are looking for a natural way to improve the health of their liver and to enhance their overall vigor will quickly find that incorporating beets
into their diet will allow them to function at a more efficient level. Because beets contain so many important substances, they will cause a marked
improvement in both liver health and overall wellbeing.

Kevin Gianni interviewed Andreas Moritz , that lead to his deciding to Liver Flush and journal it for us:
Today, as promised, I’m going to share my liver and gallbladder flush experience with you… Like I said in Monday’s post (here), I was convinced after my interview with Andreas Moritz to try this cleanse since I have had a history of liver abuse. In the past, I had some strong views about the liver-gallbladder flush. The two most prevalent are/were these: 1. The “stones” that you excrete during the cleanse can’t really be stones. There’s not enough room in your liver and gallbladder to store them. 2. If my cholesterol was low (in the past), why would I want to excrete more bile and cholesterol? I’ll address the first concern, now post-flush at the end of my flushing timeline here. The second concern, which I feel more important, does not apply to me any more since I have raised my cholesterol levels to right around 150. Regardless, I realize that this is a relatively benign process and I understand completely that overstimulating the liver and gallbladder can cause a release of bile that may be helpful to people who have sluggish digestion, liver build up, gallbladder attacks, skin issues and other challenges. This is why I decided to do it. In this article, I’m going to break down the flush that I did so you can see just how it transpired – my hope is to inspire you to take action on your health as well as dispel some of the myths about the flush being an awful experience. Let’s get going… Wednesday, April 27th – 11:00 AM: Interview with Andreas Moritz . I was excited to do an interview with Andreas (author of The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush), because I had some specific questions about the liver gallbladder flush including the question about the materials being excreted during the cleanse and if they really were “stones.” I had no intention at the time to do this cleanse. Wed. April 27th – 11:57 AM: Decide to do a liver and gallbladder flush. I’m still not fully convinced by Andreas that the body is storing all of these pre-formed “stones” in the liver and gallbladder, but I am convinced that if you overstimulate your liver and gallbladder you can create a cleansing effect. I decide that if I do a cleanse like this, it may help further my quest for even better digestion and better skin. But first I need to get the exact protocol together so I search the bookshelf to reference my Amazing Liver and Gallbladder flush book to get the cleanse right. I don’t have it with me in Berkeley, so I do a Google search and the protocol comes up on thousands of sites. Wed. April 27th – 2:35 PM: When to do it? In the book (I remember) as well as the Internet, Andreas explains that you might want to do the flush on a weekend because it isn’t exactly pleasant. I wasn’t thrilled about ruining a weekend with diarrhea and Epsom Salt cocktails, so I figured ruining a weekday would be better. I decide to do the cleanse on Thursday night. I realize a challenge that I do face, is that I haven’t been drinking apple juice (as outlined in the book) for 6 days. I would only have a chance to have about a day and a half of it if I started on Thursday. Based on my clean bill of health for the last almost decade and my clean diet, I decide that if I load up on apple juice in the next 36 hours, I’ll be OK. At least, I hope I’ll be OK. I spend the rest of the day working. Wed. April 27th – 9:36 PM: At Whole Foods. At this time, Whole Foods is the only place open to buy what I need for the cleanse. (Work ran a little longer than expected.) I wonder where I’ll find Epsom Salts since I’ve never bought them before. I also don’t want to ask the woman in the supplement department because I’m still queasy about expelling stones and the whole process. I decide it’s best to keep it to myself and search around. I find Epsom Salts fairly easily in the supplement and bath section, get about 6 grapefruits, and grab a 16 oz bottle of olive oil. Total cost about $18.00. Wed. April 27th – 11:15 PM: Kev’s at it again. Annmarie comes home from a friend’s house, looks at the counter and says, “what the heck are you up to now?!” [On to the next day] Thurs. April 28th – 1:45 PM: Eat lunch later than I should have. I’m not supposed to eat after 1:00 PM, but I got caught up putting together the second half of the Howard Lyman interview on the blog. I get a salad from an awesome place here in Berkeley called Venus. Thurs. April 28th – 3:30 PM: Mixing the Epsom Salts and water. As I’m mixing 4 tablespoons with 24 ounces of water, I’m wondering – based on some of the accounts of the flush – why on earth I would want to voluntarily spend a day on the toilet. I decide that the reward of even greater health is far better than a day of agony (if that was even the case.) Thurs. April 28th – 3:32 PM: I ask Annmarie how her experience was when she did the flush. She reminds me it was awful. Thurs. April 28th – 3:32:13 PM: Questioning. I question my decision again. Thurs. April 28th – 3:41 PM: Leave to go for a run with a friend on the Bay. I wonder if running before the cleanse is a good idea, but I figure as long as I drink a lot of water it will start the detoxification process nicely. Thurs. April 28th – 5:41 PM: I can’t wait. I know I’m supposed to drink 6 oz of the Epsom Salts at 6:00, but I want to get on with it. So I drink 6 oz of the mixture. It doesn’t taste as bad as some have said it would. In fact, after the initial bitterness, it tastes sweet. Thurs. April 28th – 7:58 PM: Back on schedule. I drink 6 oz of Epsom Salts. Tastes the same as it did last time. I am getting hungry now. I tell Annmarie, I’m just going to eat and forget about the whole thing. She knows I’m half joking, but tells me I can’t back out now. She’s right. Thurs. April 28th – 9:30 PM: Teamwork! Annmarie is kind enough to juice the grapefruits for me. I realize I only needed two, not the 6 that I bought. I also have a small headache. Likely because I went for a run. I drink some extra water. Thurs. April 28th – 9:47 PM: Bedtime. I get ready for bed. You’re supposed to lie down immediately after drinking the olive oil and grapefruit mixture, so I get ready for bed. I know that if I don’t get ready for bed before I drink it, I probably would check email one more time (which is not a 2 minute event) and do other things that are not allowed in the protocol. Thurs. April 28th – 10:01 PM: Almost on time. I mix 5 oz of grapefruit juice with 5 ounces of olive oil. The book says 4 ounces of each, but I figure I’m not an average sized person, so a little more won’t hurt and may even be a little more effective. (I have no data to support this, just a hunch.) I use a whisk to turn the mixture into a creamy texture and ask Annmarie what it tastes like so I can be prepared. She tells me that it’s just like salad dressing. I slug it down. Tastes like salad dressing. Thurs. April 28th – 10:02 PM: Not tired, but… I lie down. Thurs. April 28th – 10:04 PM: My stomach starts to gurgle. It doesn’t like 10 oz of salad dressing. Thurs. April 28th – Maybe 10:15 PM: Nighty, night. I fall asleep. Friday, April 29th – Somewhere around 3:00 AM: A weird pinching. I wake up. I know it’s about 3:00 or so because the cat is asleep, the room is still dark and I’m still tired. Just underneath the bottom of my rib cage on my right side, I feel a pretty strong pinching sensation. This is right where my liver and gallbladder are, so I assume this is the liver or gallbladder (or both) working to push out as much bile as possible. It doesn’t hurt, it actually feels pretty good, because – again – I assume that the flush is really flushing. [Between 3:00 and 6:00, I wake up frequently.] Fri. April 29th – 6:38 AM: First morning drink. I get up to use the bathroom (only #1) and drink the third 6 oz of Epsom Salts and water. I’m really tired. I realize that I didn’t sleep well at all. Instead of getting up, I decide to get back to sleep. Fri. April 29th – 8:49 AM: Second morning drink. I get up again two hours later (I set an alarm) and drink the final 6 oz of Epsom salts. No indication that I have to use the bathroom yet – except to pee. Against my previously planned work schedule, I lay back down and fall asleep again. [NOTE: This is where it gets a little graphic, but not so bad... I've kept it pretty tame. LOL!] Fri. April 29th – 10:37 AM: First #2. Finally, I feel like I have to use the bathroom. I grab my iPhone so I can play Sudoku while I’m on the throne. I play two easy games and I’m done. For those of you who aren’t aware of the process, when you #2 the day after, you are supposed to pass greenish, floating stones that are presumably Gallstones and bile that has been sitting in your liver clogging it up. Some people only pass a few, while others pass “thousands.” I was hoping to see a bunch, but when I examined everything, I only saw 3-5 stones floating. Not spectacular, but promising. I anticipate more the next time. I also decide that I won’t take pictures and post them on the blog as I was originally planning. Fri. April 29th – 1:12 PM: Second #2. I opted to not do an enema to get everything moving. This is recommended so the “toxins” from the cleanse won’t be absorbed back into your body. Again, I understand what is being said here, but at the same time as long as there is transit (and believe me there was) the absorption would be minimal. This time, I play 4-5 games of Sudoku and it becomes very evident to me that Epsom salts really do their job. I’m excited again to examine my flush, but find that there are only a dozen or so “stones.” Fri. April 29th – 1:43: Lunch time. I’m super hungry. I haven’t eaten anything besides 10 oz of olive oil and grapefruit salad dressing in the last 15 hours or so. I make a quick salad. The salad dressing: None. This time again I pass about two dozen or so stones. Fri. April 29th – 3:05 PM: I take a nap. This process has worn me down. I’ve been making sure to drink lots of water, but I the lack of sleep, diarrhea and bodily stress this flush caused a little bit of a headache (again). I wonder if exercising before the cleanse yesterday was a good idea. Anyway, I decide it’s in my best interest to take a nap. Fri. April 29th – 6:21: Final round of Sudoku. This round was shorter and it seems like everything is out. The flush seems to be over with very little fanfare and fireworks. I’m happy it wasn’t too much of a crazy adventure (it would have made a better story,) but I’m also happy it was pretty easy. [Next day] Sat. April 30th – 8:10: Confirmed. After a morning juice, I use the bathroom and confirm no stones and officially end my cleanse and this journal. Total Stones: 4 dozen (+ or -) Conclusions: Of course, I’m not going to leave you with just a journal account of the experience. I want to share with you some wisdom I learned from doing the cleanse myself that ranges from tips to thoughts about the protocol. Here they are: 1. If you’re going to do a flush, do it on a day off. You don’t want to leave the house when you’re flushing. Have someone be around to support you and don’t even think about going to work unless you’re really close to your officemates – like married to them. 2. Not as bad as I thought. Based on Annmarie’s experience, I thought the liver and gallbladder flush was going to be awful. Annmarie was up all night, had pains in her stomach and was miserable the entire next day. This shows me that clearly everyone will have a different experience. I’ve heard similar things from others. Some have a good experience, others do not. There’s a lot of speculation that I could make as to why this happens, but I’m going to leave this for someone else to figure out. I just don’t know. I don’t know why, and I definitely can’t tell you which experience you’ll have. (Be sure to check with a practitioner if you decide you want to do it.) 3. Don’t exercise before you drink the salts. I knew when I was going out to exercise it wasn’t a good idea. I fought my intuition here and it beat me up. My headache wasn’t that bad, but it was a headache that I didn’t need to have. 4. Do it again if you feel like you didn’t cleanse. I will do this again. I don’t necessarily feel that I didn’t cleanse – the feeling in my side was evidence that something was doing something – I just want to make sure I do a few rounds of this before I make any further decision about the protocol. Andreas recommends (depending on your situation) that you start with a few every month or so, then do a maintenance flush once or twice a year. I think this is reasonable. 5. I still am not convinced that all the “stones” are stones or even all bile. Even after listening to Andreas explain the “stones” and seeing my own, I’m still not convinced that they’re all stones that have been stored in the liver and gallbladder. Based on what I’ve read – and short of sending them off for lab testing – I’m convinced that they’re a mixture of oil, citrus and bile. The good news for those that support the cleanse is regardless of what they are, there is a cleansing effect that is brought on by the excessive release of bile. Also, there MAY be real stones excreted. If you over stimulate the liver and gallbladder and it is holding stones, then you may excrete them. This is why the Epsom salts and apple treatment is important in the beginning – to soften the ducts and any stones. Unfortunately, these stones will not float and you likely wouldn’t see them unless you deeply examined what was coming out of you. 6. Did it work? This is a challenging question. Did everything happen as the book said they would? Yes. Did it transform my health? I don’t know yet. I don’t have a serious health issue that could have been helped immediately by this cleanse, so I may never know. I’ve heard many fantastic stories of gallbladder attacks ending after doing this cleanse. I’ve also heard stories of skin clearing up and other digestive issues getting better. This to me seems like at the very least some real success. As for you, it’s up to you and a trusted health practitioner to guide you through the process (if you even need it at all.) So back to my experience, I’ll be monitoring my skin and my digestion to tell you if I notice anything of note. My guess is that I won’t see anything dramatic because health is a cumulative effect of all the things you do. So it likely the flush may have helped, but it’s only one part of the puzzle. I also will repeat the flush when we return from Peru in late June. For those who have more serious issues that this may help alleviate, I’d like to hear your stories, since that will help me be more sure of my thoughts around this protocol.
Fri. April 29th – 2:50 PM: Back playing Sudoku.
Total Bathroom Trips: 5 Rounds
Clean Liver: …
Pian after the flush is almost mandatory. It's going to hurt a bit. Several reasons for this. First is nerve reflex back to the spinal areas that provide the liver with its nerve energy. They are the thoracic spine and upper cervical. The pain between the shoulder blades, and the neck tends to lose some of it's range of motion - aches a bit. As things move through the liver it will reflex back to these points.
Pain in the right rib cage is where the liver is located. The pain can be on the back, front or side. Several reasons. Bugs, stones, and debris are actually moving through the liver on the way out. The liver was built to process liquids, not solids, so even something slightly solid is felt. The first flush puts it all in motion, as it moves you'll feel it. The castor oil packs are an old Edgar Cayse treatment and are great for application on the liver area. The sharp stabbing pains that almost double you over are old stones and debris letting loose. It hurts, like being stabbed. May double you right over but it goes away as fast as it comes. A bit scary though.
Once the liver itself is clean and back on line you can also get some lymphatic debris stuck in the liver and it will hurt as that passes through. With the liver clean and now able to function normally of course the blood and lymphatic system get cleaned. As soon as that happens the cells and intersticial spaces start to purge. All those old poisons and parasitic debris that your body packed away because the liver was congested and couldn't eliminate them properly now get the opportunity to be cleaned out. (oh boy!!!). Thank God for detox tea. The detox tea forces the debris into the liver to be processed out. Like many on this post have stated - it a process.
After a few flushes the liver actually starts to shrink back to its normal size. You'll feel that also. That's more of a pulling uncomfortable feeling.
Through it all every now and the you'll get this warm feeling come over the liver and intestines. It's a very comforting feeling. Of course that's your body saying "Thank you" and a bit of healing taking place.
Continue the anti parasite products throughout the flushes. Once the main infestation is handled there will be some eggs that will hatch, so you want to kill the parasite before it's mature enough to lay more eggs. That's why the anti- parasite regime is so long.
The panic attacks are the ammonia. The parasites secrete this while they are alive but one of the functions of the stones is to stop those poisons the parasite secrete from getting into the rest of the body so it is possible to get a shot of ammonia after a flush if there is some ammonia behind the stones that just released. Ornathine handles that. But if you continue to get the panic attacks you still have live bugs in you so continue on the bug killer.
So you see, it all makes sense and is not hard to understand. There's no quick fixes. It IS indeed a process.

(NaturalNews) If you experience major, persisting health problems, either physical or emotional, your liver may be congested with toxic compounds that are trapped within clumps of hardened bile (intrahepatic stones. Almost all health conditions, beauty problems and premature aging are closely linked with declined liver performance which most often is elusive to blood tests. Congestion in the bile ducts of the liver undermines the body’s effort to make proper use of the food you eat. This, in turn, may lead to numerous physical ailments and accentuated expressions of discomfort, including fear, anger, impatience, greed, depression, dis-ease and cynicism. Cleansing the liver of existing obstructions and impurities can help restore balance, vitality and happiness in every facet of your life.
When the Body Complains…
Unlike the stomach, for example, the liver never tells you directly when it is upset or needs special attention. It tells you indirectly, though, when it starts to perform poorly. The following conditions are related to poor liver functions: skin irritation, weak eyesight, unhealthy bowel movements, irregular menstrual cycles, recurring headaches, unexplainable weight gain, loss of energy, sudden aging, elevated cholesterol levels, most allergies, constricted blood vessels, bloated abdomen, fluid retention, gastrointestinal trouble, breathing difficulties, poor memory and concentration, pain in the joints or elsewhere in the body, brittle bones and any other major illness such as heart disease, cancer, MS, diabetes or Alzheimer's disease.
The liver is responsible for processing, converting, distributing and maintaining the body's fuel supply which consists of nutrients and energy. Impeding these vital functions not only affects the body’s performance as a whole, but also the health of every single cell. The liver cannot perform any of these functions properly if its bile ducts are clogged with deposits of hardened bile or “gallstones” (made of gall or bile).
Gallstones are caused by a number of factors, including the modern fast pace of living, stress, imbalanced diets, disruptive lifestyle, use of medical drugs, stimulants and alcohol, and ingestion of chemical poisons, such as food additives and artificial sweeteners. Bile duct congestion results in major impairment of digestive functions, thereby restricting the nutrient supply to the trillions of cells in the body. This makes Gallstones in the liver to be a major cause of physical and emotional illness.
The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush
The Liver Flush mentioned in this context is a straightforward, safe and painless do-it-yourself procedure using apple juice (or malic acid), olive oil, citrus juice and Epsom Salts to dispel Gallstones from both the liver and the gallbladder. The actual Liver Flush takes place within a period of less than fourteen hours and can be taken conveniently over a weekend at home.. Although the Liver Flush is very easy to do, it is important to understand the process and follow all of the directions precisely.
Since introducing the liver and gallbladder flush to thousands of patients in the 1990s, I have received countless testimonies expressing total amazement about the fast and profound healing effects it produces. They encouraged me to write a book on the subject. The 200-page book, The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush, includes the exact procedure and necessary background information for conducting this simple, yet most profound cleanse. Today, the liver and gallbladder flush has helped restore the health of hundreds of thousands of people in all parts of the world.
Gallstones in the Liver—The Most Common Cause of Illness
An estimated 20 percent of the world’s population will develop gallstones in their gallbladder at some stage in their lives; many of them will opt for surgical removal of this important organ. This statistical figure does not account, though, for the many more people who will develop gallstones (or already have them) in their liver. During some thirty years of practicing natural medicine and dealing with thousands of people suffering from all types of chronic diseases, I can attest to the fact that each one of them, without exception, has had considerable quantities of gallstones in his or her liver. Surprisingly, only relatively few of them reported to have had a history of gallstones in their gallbladder.
Gallstones in the liver may be the main impediment to acquiring and maintaining good health, youthfulness, and vitality. Gallstones in the liver may, indeed, be one of the major reasons people become ill and have difficulty recuperating from illness.
Medicine’s Most Unfortunate Oversight
Many people believe that gallstones can be found only in the gallbladder. This is a commonly made yet false assumption. Most gallstones are actually formed in the liver, and comparatively few occur in the gallbladder. You can easily verify this assessment by giving yourself a liver flush. It matters little whether you are a layperson, a medical doctor, a scientist, or someone whose gallbladder was removed and, therefore, is believed to be stone free. The results of the liver flush speak for themselves. No amount of scientific proof or medical explanation can make such a cleanse any more valuable than it already is. Once you see hundreds of green, beige-colored, brown, or black gallstones floating in the toilet bowl during your first liver flush, you will intuitively know that you are on to something extremely important in your life.
I am repeatedly asked the intriguing question—why is there only little or no reference in mainstream medicine to the occurrence of gallstones in the liver? Standard clinical tests almost never reveal the occurrence of gallstones in the liver. In fact, most doctors don’t even know they grow there. Only some of the most advanced research universities, such as the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, describe and illustrate these liver stones in their literature or on their web sites. They refer to them as “intrahepatic gallstones.” The failure to recognize and accept the incidence of gallstone formation in the liver as an extremely common phenomenon may very well be the most unfortunate oversight that has ever been made in the field of medicine, both orthodox and holistic.
Relying so heavily on blood tests for diagnostic purposes, as conventional medicine does, may actually be a great disadvantage with regard to assessing liver health. Most people who have a physical complaint of one kind or another may show to have perfectly normal liver enzyme levels in the blood, despite suffering from liver congestion. Liver congestion is among the leading health problems, yet conventional medicine rarely refers to it, nor do doctors have a reliable way to detect and diagnose such a condition. Liver enzyme levels in the blood become elevated only when there is advanced liver cell destruction, as is the case, for example, in hepatitis or liver inflammation. Liver cells contain large amounts of enzymes. Once a certain number of liver cells are ruptured, their enzymes will start showing up in the blood. When detected through a blood test, this increased count of liver enzymes indicates abnormal liver functions. In such an event, however, the damage has already occurred. It takes many years of chronic liver congestion before liver damage becomes apparent.
Unfortunately, unless there is a specific liver disease, this vital organ is rarely considered a “culprit” for other diseases. The majority of gallstones in the liver consist of the same “harmless” constituents as are found in liquid bile, with cholesterol being the main ingredient. A number of stones consist of fatty acids and other organic material that has ended up in the bile ducts. The fact that the majority of these stones are just congealed clumps of bile or organic matter makes them practically “invisible” to x-rays, ultrasonic technologies, and Computer Tomography (CT).
The situation is different with regard to the gallbladder, where up to about 20 percent of all stones can be made-up entirely of minerals, predominantly, calcium salts and bile pigments. Whereas diagnostic tests can easily detect these hardened, relatively large stones in the gallbladder, they tend to miss the softer, non-calcified stones in the liver. Only when excessive amounts of cholesterol-based stones (85-95% cholesterol) or other clumps of fat block the bile ducts of the liver, may an ultrasound test reveal what is generally referred to as “fatty liver.” In such a case, the ultrasound pictures reveal a liver that is almost completely white (instead of black). A fatty liver can gather up to 20,000 stones before it succumbs to suffocation and ceases to function.
If you had a fatty liver and went to the doctor, he would tell you that you had excessive fatty tissue in your liver. It is less likely, though, that he would tell you that you had intrahepatic gallstones (stones obstructing the liver’s bile ducts). As mentioned before, most of the smaller stones in the liver are not detectable through ultrasound or Computer axial Tomography (CT). Nevertheless, careful analysis of diagnostic images by specialists would show whether some of the smaller bile ducts in the liver were dilated because of obstruction. A dilation of bile ducts caused by larger and denser stones or by clusters of stones may be detected more readily through Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). However, unless there is an indication of major liver trouble, doctors rarely check for such intrahepatic stones. Unfortunately, although the liver is one of the most important organs in the body, its disorders are also under-diagnosed all too often.
Even if the early stages of a fatty liver or gallstone formation in the bile ducts were easily recognized and diagnosed, today’s medical facilities offer no treatments to relieve this vital organ of the heavy burden it has to carry.
On the other hand, a qualified iridologist, an Ayurvedic physician or a natural health practitioner who knows the signs and indications of gallstones in the liver and gallbladder, can easily determine the extent of gallstone formation in these organs. [Such indicators are listed in the book The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush, www.ener-chi.com.] Most people in the civilized world have gallstones. But even in alternative or holistic medicine, there is rarely mention of an effective therapy that can actually remove gallstones safely and without pain. Gallstones are a direct product of an un healthy Diet and lifestyle. If gallstones are still present in the liver even after all other disease-causing factors are eliminated, they pose a considerable health risk and may lead to illness and premature aging. By removing these stones, the body as a whole is able to resume its normal, healthy activities.
Reaping the Benefits
People with chronic illnesses often have several thousand gallstones congesting the bile ducts of the liver. Some stones may have also grown in the gallbladder. By removing these stones from these organs through a series of Liver Flushes and maintaining a balanced diet and lifestyle, the liver and gallbladder can restore their original efficiency, and most symptoms of discomfort or disease in the body can start subsiding. You may find that any persistent allergies will lessen or disappear. Back pain will dissipate, while energy and well-being will improve.
Sweeping the liver clean eliminates thousands of bits of poisonous substances that have helped form the stones and block thousands of liver bile ducts. Ridding the liver bile ducts from gallstones is one of the most important and powerful procedures you can apply to improve and regain your physical and emotional health. By reopening the bile ducts, the body’s energy circuits become restored and healing can take place on all levels of body, mind and spirit.

Does Your Liver Need an Overhaul? The Importance of Liver Flushing
LIVER FLUSH
Supplies:
1. Two ounces of fresh squeezed lemon juice. (1-2 lemons)
2. Ultra Phos liquid. Do NOT do a Liver Flush without this.
3. Olive oil. Regular extra virgin oil will do.
4. Coca Cola Classic. Bottle, NOT can. (yes, it can be a plastic bottle)
5. Apple Cider. Not apple juice. It doesn’t have to be organic apple cider either, just regular old apple cider you can get at the grocery store is fine.
For three days drink one quart of apple cider per day. Add 90 drops of Ultra Phos liquid to each quart. Drink the apple cider throughout the day. With meals, between meals, it doesn’t matter. On the third day of drinking the apple cider, three hours after your evening meal, you do the liver flush.
Mix together the following:
2 ounces of lemon juice
4 ounces of olive oil.
4 ounces of Coca Cola Classic. (Shake the Coke a few times to get all the fizz out).
Stir this mixture together. DO NOT SHAKE. Stir vigorously then drink.
Immediately lay down on your right side, knees slightly bent, head properly supported, for 30 minutes. Then 15 minutes on your left side and 15 minutes on your back. Then get up and move around a bit. Nothing strenuous.
You can get the Ultra Phos at:
http://www.ultralifeinc.com
or call 618-594-7711.
Results: The oil usually passes within a few hours. If you experience any nausea treat it with ginger or peppermint tea. The nausea leaves once the oil has passed. Within 12 to 24 hours the debris that was congesting the liver will pass. Green, pea size stones, dead parasites and lymphatic debris. Drink plenty of distilled water the next few days.
The effects of the Liver Flush are quite dramatic and very rewarding. You are literally cleaning you bodies blood filter. Very important in any recovery process.
The Liver Flush should be done only AFTER a minimum of two weeks on an anti parasite program. For maitanence, after you get your health back, twice a year is sufficient. Do a two week anti parasite program along with a good Colon Cleanse topped off on day 14 by a liver flush.
You’ll be surprised at how good you can get feeling.

There is constant debate on whether or not Gallstones one sees when doing Liver Flushing are just components of the flush itself.
I've come across actual footage of a gallbladder removal and disections from the medical community. It's GRAPHIC, but non-bloody! I found it very interesting that I've passed many of the varieties of stones shown at the end of this video. I just have to wonder WHY ON EARTH the surgeons were using olive oil and grapefruit juice to make those stones!! *LAUGH*
-by Kal Sellers, MH
Actually, this newsletter has NO business being restricted to the issue of cancer. Every chronic or degenerative disease, defined or undefined by conventional medicine is impacted by the data herein. Furthermore, many acute diseases and daily irritations are affected to the extreme by healing this system. The value of it is difficult to overstate.
Here are a couple things that this article could be about if it were not titled for Cancer:
1. Getting the miraculous value from herbs that the natural healers got 50 years ago, including healing
every and any disease, regrowing hair, correcting scoliosis, healing MS, regrowing teeth,
regenerating every organ, healing every infection, regenerating bone, healing shattered bones
completely like new, dissolving cysts and tumors, regenerating eyes and vision, etc. The block to
these processes very well could be the liver. I believe that the liver IS THE blockage to these
miracles, on a physiological level.
2. Changing behavior patterns where a person is stuck. Much has been said and done about self-
sabotaging patterns (and in some cases patterns that sabotage others) today, but at the
physiological level, this inability to convert what one wants to do and be into actual reality is a
blockage in the liver that stops the completion of energy down certain pathways. We may not have
much of a fix on this in chemical physiology today, but the Chinese understood the connection very
well and practiced medicine around it for thousands of years. Anger, inability to understand, hear,
see, connect, complete, etc…these are all partly or wholly functions of the liver. A person who is
constantly unfulfilled is actually blocked somehow. This discussion could go into psychosomatic
problems, blocked emotions and Dianetics, but at a physiological level, this is a liver problem.
3. Skin problems and chronic infection could be the whole subject here just as easily. The liver is
directly involved, as should become obvious as we go along. The liver manages all such things and
when it is blocked in any way, various parts of the body become unmanageable. Perhaps the
discussion about cancer below will help illustrate this fact.
Since the article is about cancer, let us just make a couple remarks about cancer before we get started. Cancer is a natural process that happens several hundred times per day. Cells that are damaged but still young are “switched” into a self-destructive mode where growth occurs abnormally until there is enough blood supply to the area for the white blood cells to come in, clean it up, remove it and take it, via the blood and lymph, to the liver for processing and elimination. This is a natural process that is no threat whatsoever to a healthy person.
Some modern fear-based medicine philosophers have postulated that the body just fails somehow or is out of control or is confused. Let me go on record: “The body is never confused and absolutely never fails to do the very best thing to preserve itself right up until the moment of death!” To this there is no recourse by any sentient being. It is the only axiom that explains precisely the actions of the body.
When cancer appears, it is because the liver is so stopped (sometimes due to stress, fear or loss) that it cannot process safely those cancer cells. The liver turns off the mechanism to destroy and carry off cancer and keeps the cancer growing in hopes that it will get a chance to be cleared and then it can continue its work and heal the body. Given the proper conditions, it can and will. Actually, for a limited time, cancer will absorb vast amounts of toxicity; because of this, it helps relieve the load on the liver temporarily. In addition, if the liver is totally cleansed and healed, the body will be healthier after than before.
It is a blocked, weakened, plugged liver that allows cancer to get out of control. The emotional aspect is still being explored, but we can be sure that whatever the emotional aspect is, the growth of cancer is still the liver’s best possible response to the conditions created by that emotional aspect. Understand, cancer will grow every day of life without variation no matter what. The reason it does not grow out of control is simply that the liver keeps receiving and processing the toxic and destroyed components of it each day. Then it crops up somewhere else and that location is cleaned up. The immune system will not, however, clean out and remove what the liver cannot handle.
This also can be applied to all types of infection (including candida).
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Dr. Christopher once made this statement: “No one was ever a cancer patient who was not first a liver patient.”
There are several reasons for this that are known and no doubt many that are unknown. The liver is responsible for literally thousands of functions which are done trillions of times every day! The management of every cell, every process, every chemical, every communication, every aspect of elimination, every aspect of healing and repair, every aspect of digestion and assimilation, every aspect of immune performance, fat deposition, metabolism, etc, is either directly or indirectly managed by the liver. The liver is to the chemical systems and physical tissues of the body as the brain is to the nervous system of the body. The heart is important, but it is really mostly a pump. The liver actually manages everything.
There is no varicose vein, no cyst, no scar tissue, no emotional pattern, no chemical or hormonal imbalance, no metabolism or elimination issue, which cannot be directly traced to the involvement of the liver. Even in places where operations seem to work independent of the liver (renal function, for example) the liver is very much involved. We can trace hormone regulation to the liver, including those that affect the kidneys. We can also see that many items to be eliminated by the kidneys are first converted in the liver to manageable wastes. Further, if we open a door and peek into Chinese medicine, we discover that the heat for every operation in the human body is sourced to the liver. It represents the element called wood (representing growing plant life) and is involved with growth and fuel for heat. It picks up excess water in the system and converts it to healthy growth. It is the culmination of the five elements into the source of life for all animals on earth…plants.
So we see that no behavior and no cellular activity can be separated from the liver. We could say this of other systems too, but the liver is really the hub of all the other systems. It is the manager of everything and the source of life energy for everything. It disseminates to other systems.
One other system that relates to all other systems intensely is the bowel. The bowel works differently, though, as it works like a relay or breaker system for all the other systems and organs. This relay system comes from early fetal development and every other organ and system (almost) develops with connection to the bowel. So the bowel is as intensively integrated as the liver, but in a very different way. The liver is also manager over the cells of the bowel.
Still, the liver dumps into the bowel and the importance of this relationship cannot be overstated when doing liver cleansing. The bowel must be kept open the whole time. By this, we usually mean that the individual takes colon hydrotherapy or cathartic herbs (or both) sufficient to produce copious bowel movements…hopefully 3-5 easy ones every day.
In other words, you get the bowel moving with bowel herbs and/or colonics and then you start your liver herbs or liver program. In this newsletter, I will give you a formula that will effectively keep the liver and the bowel moving. I will also give you an intensive liver and gall bladder stone flush that is the best I have found so far.
In order to keep the liver healthy, both diet and cleansing must be considered. In addition to this, some people will need liver strength, liver heat, liver cooling agents, liver stimulation and perhaps other liver aids to be used with cleansing. We have seen a number of times that Liver Cleansing will sometimes be ineffective if the liver is too weak or too out of balance to do the cleanse properly. In these cases, we use herbal formulas that will help in the specified way. These will be taken for several weeks before intensive Liver Cleansing is undertaken again. Cleansing must be done, but sometimes help is needed for stability first.
So, in the following lines I will provide several formula options and the activities they are designed to support.
1. Liver Strength: This formula has been given elsewhere and under other names. This is a variation
of those formulas and is simplified. It is not better or worse, different people will find value in
slightly different formulas. This is just the most recent, simplified version I have.
a. Dr. Christopher’s Original Formulas Vitalerbs (I purchase this in the bulk—meaning one pound
powdered—(on line from http://www.drchristophersherbshop.com ) Use 3 parts of this mix
b. Milk thistle seed powder—2 parts
c. Ginger root powder—2 parts
d. Turmeric root powder—2 parts
e. Ashwaganda powder—1 part
f. Licorice root—1/2-1 part (use one if there is known adrenal fatigue, stress or chronic fatigue)
You will notice a few changes if you have seen the other formulas. This formula works a little better
for raw strength for the liver. The ginger helps the turmeric work and the ashwaganda is great for
those whose condition is very weak.
This formula should be taken two times daily in water. I recommend 1-3 tablespoons based on your
size and metabolism (if you eat more, take more). I just stir it into water and drink it down.
2. Liver cleanser on the move: This formula is a replacement for Dr. Christopher’s Liver Gall
Bladder Formula, which also works good, but is not so designed for bowel and stones also. It is
made up as tea. Unless otherwise specified, all teas are made with one teaspoon of herb to one cup
of water, either distilled or Enagic Kangan water.
a. 3 parts Senna leaf/pods
b. 2 parts buckthorn root
c. 1 part comfrey root
d. 1 part ginger root
e. 3 parts peppermint
f. 2 parts catnip
g. 2 parts sarsaparilla or yucca stalk or root
h. 2 parts Oregon grape root
i. 1 part cloves
j. 1 part cardamom pods
k. 1 part licorice root
l. whole stevia leaf powder to taste
This formula is very carminative (increases digestive secretions) and should be drunk one cupful
warm before each meal. Increase dosage until a very strong bowel action results. If this does not
result, then look for a much stronger formula, such as Dr. Richard Schulze ’s Intestinal Formula #1 (1-
800-herb-doc to order his formulae).
3. Liver Cooler: for people with “hot” conditions of sweating or anger or any other overly hot
condition, this formula will give some relief. However, a hot liver is a constipated liver and the stone
cleanse is even more important than this formula.
a. Dandelion root—1 part
b. Oregon Grape root—1 part
c. Ginger root—2 parts (yeah, I know it is warming, but it is also diffusive, so that it actually helps
to diffuse excess heat from the core)
d. Burdock root—1 part
e. Comfrey root—1 part
f. Peppermint—2 parts
Purchase powdered and encapsulate or stir into water or make tea as is your preference. Drink 2
cups of tea per day (night and morning) or take 4 capsules 2x daily.
4. The Stone Flush: This flush is a significant upgrade from my previous formula, which still is the best
I have yet encountered in print. This flush, though, is simpler and more powerful yet and has
produced thousands of stones in the toilet in a single flush. On this note, a recent and very well
written book by Andreas Moritz is available and highly recommended by me to read if you want to
understand the liver and gall bladder and cleansing it and how it will affect every system. Click here
if you wish to purchase.
He may make you feel a little like he thinks the liver is the answer to everything, and the way he
does it can feel a little overboard, but if you actually understand the liver’s involvement in every
tissue and system, then it is easy to grasp how he may be right. I have personally witnessed several
of the benefits he speaks about and I have good reason to believe that all of them are very probably
available if the individual gets the liver and diet healthy enough.
To wrap it up shortly, let me just say that every complaint has a chance of being helped by a liver
flush. Many symptoms will not go away until the overwhelming majority of stones are purged out. Mr.
Moritz recommends 8-10 flushes as a baseline, but that no one should stop until after they do the
flush correctly two consecutive times with no stones whatsoever. He also says (and other experts I
read agree) that if you want to overcome allergies or multiple chemical sensitivity disorder or
cancer or Arthritis or any serious disease, you have to get upwards of 2500 stones minimum. This
really will happen and people really do have this many or more stones blocking the liver up. It is a
shock to see how bad it really is in most Americans…even children! You may not count every one,
but do get a pretty good idea about every toilet bowel full so that you have an idea of how you are
doing. The following flush is a variation from Mr. Moritz’s and it is what I have found to be the
absolute most basic for the absolute greatest yield and effect. I used his a couple times also. I invite
you to try it both ways and see which works better for you. Here is my program:
a. Stop all food at 12:00 noon.
b. Stop all drinks (herbal teas, juices, water) by 2:00 pm
c. At 6:00 pm drink ½ of the Epsom Salts Drink (recipe below)
d. At 7:00 pm drink the rest of the Epsom Salts Drink
e. At 8:00 pm drink the flush drink (recipe below) and go immediately to bed. Before drinking this,
you may want to void your bowels one last time so that you can stay in bed when you lay down.
f. While laying in bed, rub castor oil well into the liver area (just below and on the right ribcage at
the bottom, from the midline of the side around to the midline of the breastbone). As you
massage, try to imagine pushing that castor oil up into the liver from below and through the ribs
into it from the outside. Follow up with some healthyish deep heating balm like Professor
Cayenne’s deep heating ointment or Boswellin Cream or Tiger Balm.
g. When finished and the oil is well rubbed in, put shirt down or cloth over it and brush with
medium pressure over the same area imagining that you are brushing stones from the top of the
liver (just below the breast crease) down to the bottom where they can go out of the liver
appropriately. While doing this, breath very deeply to set off the “lymph geyser.” Keep this up
for ten to fifteen minutes. This will activate lymph movement here.
h. The best time to do this cleanse (and any cleanse, really) is when you are feeling very poorly,
headachy, sick, sore, painful or otherwise miserable, sad or lonely. This will come at a cllmax of
the liver and at these moments miracle cleanses happen.
i. Epsom Salts Drink: Totally dissolve 3 Tablespoons of Epsom Salts into 3 cups of
Enagic Kangan water or distilled water
ii. Flush Drink: Wash, cut and juice (or just scoop out the pulp) 2 large grapefruit (pink or yellow
will work). Put in blender. Add ¾ cup of organic extra virgin olive oil. Add 3 heaping
Tablespoons of Extra-Virgin Coconut oil. Add 40 drops of Wintergreen oil (no substitutes will
work here. It kills parasites. I always get questions because all the bottles say not for internal
use, but I have a long and complete answer to this, which would eventually arrive at the
conclusion that in this dosage it is absolutely nothing to worry about at all…unless you are a
parasite (none of my readers, I am sure)). Blend up well.
-----Since originally posting this, I have gotten constant concerns about the wintergreen oil.
After honest and fair research, I find this concern unwarranted, especially by anyone willing
to use OTC NSAIDs, take cough syrup or drink alcohol...all of which are far more dangerous.
Still, since it is such a stumbling block to some, I can also recommend as an alternative
Green Black-Walnut Hull Tincture, one half teaspoon in water before starting the epsom
salts.
Note: I have not found Mr. Moritz’s use of apple juice leading up to the cleanse to be necessary. In any event,
the only stones that theoretically should be affected would be those that are calcified, which only happens in
the gall bladder. liver stones do not calcify according to current understanding. liver stones are the most
important for overall healing, according to current understanding.
Note #2: Occasionally, individuals get feeling nauseous after the epsom salts. In this case, they can drink
some ginger tea or take some lemon juice, or both. A little warm water with fresh lemon juice and ginger
powder will work well and may assist in the whole process. It is important that they do not drink very much,
though, as this will reduce the effect of the cleanse.
Note #3: Just before this last proofing of this program, a client of mine did this cleanse and had success for
the first time (she had done two other such cleanses), but she made this comment that may be useful. She
said that the next day after the cleanse, she started feeling “blocked” [in the upper right quadrant where the
liver ducts are] and took another dose of Epsom salts in water. She did this about 11a.m. She immediately
felt that area start moving and then shortly she flushed out many, many stones! She felt that this might be
useful for others who got this feeling and needed to dilate the ducts and free this flow of stones.
Diet: Any discussion of any healing system would be very deficient without a discussion of prevention and future maintenance. I will give the most fundamental dietary program I can:
1. If you cannot recognize it, do not eat it. If you cannot pronounce it, do not eat it. If you do not know
what the word in the ingredient list is…I mean really know, do not eat it.
2. Avoid all dairy and wheat products unless sprouted. This includes white and wheat flour, pastas,
breads, rolls, wraps, etc.
3. Eat lots of raw vegetables. If you are not used to it or if you lack teeth, learn to make green
smoothies or juice your vegetables. It is best to have fresh vegetable juice for your evening meal.
This will totally change your world. Go as far toward totally raw as you possibly can. Traci’s books
( http://www.bestfoodist.com ) will really help with the transition if you need help (note: we now have
copies of the School of Natural Healing Edition of Traci’s Transformational Health Principles with
the recipe book on CD in the back that, for a limited time, I am offering for $30 (normally $40 each)
each. If you want a copy, email me and I will send you a paypal button). You can develop an informed
decision about what is the best transitional state for you right now and you will have the recipes to
make it taste great.
4. Reduce the intake of animal products. More than one time per week will certainly cause liver
congestion/stone build up in most people.
5. Avoid refined sugars and starches.
6. Eat way less than you think you need. No one in our culture has any idea of what they really need.
Eating less always leads to better health if the food that is consumed is high quality and consumed
with gratitude. Find an improved dietary standard you can follow consistently and stick to it.
7. Eat lots of fresh, ripe, raw fruit. Have plenty of it. The only thing about fruit is, you gotta eat it alone
on an empty stomach or in totally green salads or it will backfire, ferment, create disease and cause
weakness. It will certainly make your liver worse if you abuse it. Eat plenty of it, but eat it according
to the rules.
8. Go to bed on or very near empty. Never sedate yourself to sleep with food or drink of any kind.
Thank you for reading this rather lengthy newsletter. I have been trying to shorten these to make them easier to manage, but this one is so important that I feel that the duration is appropriate to fully cover the basics. If you have questions, you are always welcome to email me and I will answer them as soon as I can.

Cleansing the liver of Gallstones dramatically improves digestion, which is the basis of your whole health. You can expect your allergies to disappear, too, more with each cleanse you do! Incredibly, it also eliminates shoulder, upper arm, and upper back pain. You have more energy and an increased sense of well being.
***I personally advise printing this out and keeping handy for flush days.
It is the job of the liver to make bile, 1 to 1 1/2 (one to one and half) quarts in a day! The liver is full of tubes (biliary tubing) that deliver the bile to one large tube (the common bile duct). The gallbladder is attached to the common bile duct and acts as a storage reservoir. Eating fat or protein triggers the gallbladder to squeeze itself empty after about twenty minutes, and the stored bile finishes its trip down the common bile duct to the intestine.
For many persons, including children, the biliary tubing is choked with gallstones. Some develop allergies or hives but some have no symptoms. When the gallbladder is scanned or X-rayed nothing is seen. Typically, they are not in the gallbladder. Not only that, most are too small and not calcified, a prerequisite for visibility on X-ray. There are over half a dozen varieties of gallstones, most of which have cholesterol crystals in them. They can be black, red, white, green or tan colored. The green ones get their color from being coated with bile. Notice in the picture how many have imbedded unidentified objects. Are they fluke remains? Notice how many are shaped like corks with longitudinal grooves below the tops. We can visualize the blocked bile ducts from such shapes. Other stones are composites - made of many smaller ones - showing that they regrouped in the bile ducts some time after the last cleanse. At the very center of each stone is found a clump of bacteria, according to scientists, suggesting that a dead bit of parasite might have started the stone forming.
As the stones grow and become more numerous the back pressure on the liver causes it to make less bile. It is also thought to slow the flow of lymphatic fluid. Imagine the situation if your garden hose had marbles in it. Much less water would flow, which in turn would decrease the ability of the hose to squirt out the marbles. With gallstones, much less cholesterol leaves the body, and cholesterol levels may rise Gallstones, being porous, can pick up all the bacteria, cysts viruses and parasites that are passing through the liver. In this way "nests" of infection are formed, forever supplying the body with fresh bacteria and parasite stages. No stomach infection such as ulcers or intestinal bloating can be cured permanently without removing these Gallstones from the liver. For best results, ozonate the olive oil in this recipe to kill any parasite stages or viruses that may be released during the cleanse.
Preparation
You can't clean a liver with living parasites in it. You won't get many stones, and you will feel quite sick. Zap daily the week before and complete the parasite killing program before attempting a liver cleanse. If you are on the maintenance parasite program, you are always ready to do the cleanse.
Completing the kidney cleanse before cleansing the liver is also highly recommended. You want your kidneys, bladder and urinary tract in top working condition so they can efficiently remove any undesirable substances incidentally absorbed from the intestine as the bile is being excreted.
Ingredients
Epsom Salts 4 tablespoons
Olive oil 1/2 (half) cup (light olive oil is easier to get down), and for best results, ozonate it for 20 minutes. Add 2 drops HCl.
Fresh pink grapefruit 1 large or 2 small, enough to squeeze 2/3 cup juice. Hot wash twice first and dry each time.
Ornithine 4 to 8, to be sure you can sleep. Don¹t skip this or you may have the worst night of your life!
Large plastic straw To help drink potion.
Pint jar with lid
Black Walnut Tincture, any strength 10 to 20 drops, to kill parasites coming from the liver.
Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will be able to rest the next day. Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without; they could prevent success. Stop the parasite program and kidney herbs, too, the day before. Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal, fruit, fruit juice, bread and preserves or honey (no butter or milk). This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.
2:00 PM. Do not eat or drink after 2 o'clock. If you break this rule you could feel quite ill later. Get your Epsom Salts ready. Mix 4 tbs. in 3 cups water and pour this into a jar. This makes four servings, 3/4 (three fourths) cup each. Set the jar in the refrigerator to get ice cold (this is for convenience and taste only).
6:00 PM. Drink one serving 3/4 (three fourths cup) of the ice cold Epsom Salts . If you did not prepare this ahead of time, mix 1 tbs. in 3/4 (three fourth) cup water now. You may add 1/8 (one eight) tsp. vitamin C powder to improve the taste. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of water afterwards or rinse your mouth. Get the olive oil (ozonated, if possible) and grapefruit out to warm up.
Alternative Schedule 1: Omit the first Epsom Slats dose at 6 p.m. Take only one dose, waiting till 8 p.m. Change nothing else. Many people still get stones with one less dose. If you do not, do the full course next time. "The Cure For HIV and AIDS" By Hulda Clark pg.585
8:00 PM. Repeat by drinking another 3/4 (three fourths) cup of Epsom salts. You haven't eaten since two o'clock, but you won't feel hungry. Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for success.
9:45 PM. Pour 1/2 (half) cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar. Add 2 drops HCl to sterilize. Wash grapefruit twice in hot water and dry; squeeze by hand into the measuring cup. Remove pulp with fork. You should have at least 1/2 (half) cup, more (up to 3/4 (three fourths) cup) is best. You may use part lemonade. Add this to the olive oil. Also add Black-Walnut Tincture. Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until watery (only fresh grapefruit juice does this).
Now visit the bathroom one or more time, even if it makes you late for your ten o'clock drink. Don't be more than 15 minutes late. You will get fewer stones.
10:00 PM. Drink the potion you have mixed. Take 4 ornithine capsules with the first sips to make sure you will sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia. Drinking through a large plastic straw helps it go down easier. You may use oil and vinegar salad dressing, or straight honey to chase it down between sips. Have these ready in a tablespoon on the kitchen counter. Take it all to your bedside if you want, but drink it standing up. Get it down within 5 minutes (fifteen minutes for very elderly or weak persons).
Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out if you don't. The sooner you lie down the more stones you will get out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don't clean up the kitchen. As soon as the drink is down walk to your bed and lie down flat on your back with your head up high on the pillow. Try to think about what is happening in the liver. Try to keep perfectly still for at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones traveling along the bile ducts like marbles. There is no pain because the bile duct valves are open (thank you Epsom salts!). Go to sleep, you may fail to get stones out if you don't.
Next morning. Upon awakening take your third dose of Epsom salts. If you have indigestion or nausea wait until it is gone before drinking the Epsom salts. You may go back to bed. Don't take this potion before 6:00 am.
2 Hours Later. Take your fourth (the last) dose of Epsom salts. You may go back to bed again.
"The Cure For HIV and AIDS" By Hulda Clark pg.585
Alternative Schedule 2: After taking the first dose of Epsom salts in the morning, wait two hours and take a second dose of the oil mixture (but only 1/2 cup)and go back to bed. After two more hours take another dose of Epsom salts. This schedule can increase the number of stones you remove."
After 2 More Hours you may eat. Start with fruit juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food but keep it light. By supper you should feel recovered.
How well did you do? Expect diarrhea in the morning. Use a flashlight to look for Gallstones in the toilet with the bowel movement. Look for the green kind since this is proof that they are genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float because of the cholesterol inside. Count them all roughly, whether tan or green. You will need to total 2000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper back pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel forward, they give you the same symptoms again. You may repeat cleanses at two week intervals. Never cleanse when you are [acutely] ill.
Sometimes the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that did not form into round stones. They appear as a ³chaff² floating on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan colored, harboring millions of tiny white crystals. Cleansing this chaff is just as important as purging stones.
How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. My opinion is based on over 500 cases, including many persons in their seventies and eighties. None went to the hospital; none even reported pain. However it can make you feel quite ill for one or two days afterwards, although in every one of these cases the maintenance parasite program had been neglected. This is why the instructions direct you to complete the parasite and kidney cleanse programs first.
This procedure contradicts many modern medical viewpoints. Gallstones are thought to be formed in the gallbladder, not the liver. They are thought to be few, not thousands. They are not linked to pains other than gallbladder attacks. It is easy to understand why this is thought: by the time you have acute pain attacks, some stones are in the gallbladder, are big enough and sufficiently calcified to see on X-ray, and have caused inflammation there. When the gallbladder is removed the acute attacks are gone, but the bursitis and other pains and digestive problems remain.
The truth is self-evident. People who have had their gallbladder surgically removed still get plenty of green, bile-coated stones, and anyone who cares to dissect their stones can see that the concentric circles and crystals of cholesterol match textbook pictures of "gallstones" exactly.

Excerpted from the book " The Cure For All Diseases " by Hulda Regehr Clark
I did my own liver cleanse again last night. This was my 7th cleanse and, guess what! I passed over 1000 stones, with the last "batch" at 6 pm this evening!
I had done two other cleanses recently and had only gotten a small handfull of stones. It is important to know that every stone in the liver (generally the small, dark green ones) takes up vital real estate and is worth the effort to remove the little squatters! I, therefore, kept at it.
This time, though, I did something different and I want to share it with you. I remembered hearing in my radiology class at chiropractic college that the gall bladder could hang down almost to the pelvic floor (it belongs up under the liver under the right rib cage)! I thought, "you know what, this time I am going to lay down and massage my whole liver again and again and I am going to start low (halfway to my navel) and massage upwards and toward the middle to lift the gall bladder and push out stones!"
Wow, did it ever work! Not only that, but I got a few pinky-sized stones that looked old and brown or gray. I also got loads of crystalline white and gray stuff. For the first time in my life my liver actually felt empty, like there was no more pressure where it sits!
Of course, I am recommending this to anyone who thinks they can do it. Since this morning, I have had cleansing symptoms all over my whole body, some uncomfortable, some delightful, but I know in a couple days my body will start to re-set and in a couple weeks my liver will adapt to the new space and start working better than ever before. I am very excited to put this information out there for your benefit too.
I did get one email about it not working quite right and another about green stuff she thought was just olive oil. I just want to answer these questions for everyone who wonders and did not ask.
First, for the person who did not get the results she had hoped, make sure that your bowels are moving good before you go to bed. You might need more Epsom Salts or you might need an enema or two (usually, we put ginger and Sea Salt in this, 1 teaspoon of each and then put a quart or so in the bowel--until it feels full all the way around and the urge to void is strong. We just use an enema bag kit that I got from the medical supply store). This is important to getting the results you want.
Second, for the olive oil claim, let me just say that someone who decided it was doubtful that those stones could get through a cadaver bile duct started promoting the propaganda that unless it was a rock-hard calcified stone you could pick out, it could not have gone through the bile ducts and it must just be olive oil and bile. This sounds fine until you do your homework and discover that dark green can only come from unprocessed bile and that bile and olive oil make a creamy milk, not clumps, stones, grains, etc.
Further, if it were just the olive oil, you would get pretty predictable results every time and you would not experience any reduction in size of the liver area. You would not get drained lymph or improved health. As it is, we get wildly varied results from time to time and overall get much healthier as the weeks go on and we do our flushes until the whole system is clean and running smoothly. Some actually feel very clearly the stones passing through the bile ducts.
Thank you all for your feedback and questions and for those brave souls who went to work and got your flush going right away!

Layers 1-6
The differences, from one flush to another, is the most amazing part of this experience for me. Layer after layer of different GUNK!!!
**Note: layer 16 was my first stone-free flush, and not my last one. I made a major change to my flush protocol at this point and stop here to avoid confusion. Today, I am stone-free. I saw over 3000 Gallstones in my first year, and only 5 or 6 in my 2nd year of flushing; they were all very old stones that finally came from the depths of my liver late last fall.
Knowing for 24 yrs that I had gallbladder problems and not knowing what to do about it besides surgery, led to some unpleasant experiences in life!
Last spring, things got bad! The bloated tight feeling, feeling like I was dying from eating some of my favorite foods/cheddar cheese!!!! By fall, I knew I had to do something, since I had no health insurance, I began looking at cleansing. I opted for Clark's method and on New Years Eve weekend, my quest to take my health back began.
I didn't have anybody to lead me in this;, I had no idea about healing crisis, but this day! at the end of my 6th cleanse, I'm gonna make it!!!
I heard someone refer to liver/gallbladder cleansing being like peeling an onion, and it is exactly that.
People here want descriptions on what it's like. No 2 have been even vaguely similar for me:
First flush
I passed olive green stones from the size of a baby pea to bigger than 50cents pieces (around 300 total) and an amazing amount of creamy white chaff.
Second flush
It was most pea-colored and sized stones, around 200 of them.
Third flush
Must have been unremarkable cuz I have no idea what was different.
Fourth flush
I sat here 24 hours later wondering if I was headed for the hospital after all my effort. I had suddenly stopped passing anything, no tapering off, it just stopped, and the familiar dull ache was WORSE!!!! I had added gold coin grass to my efforts, how could something big enough to get stuck be there?? I do my ES and evoo/grapefruit juice on Friday nights, so I'm purging on Saturday. Sunday night was when I felt that I was in trouble. I was able to go to work on Monday, but I was miserable! I planned to get thru the week and do another flush over the weekend (I'd been cleansing every 4th week). Tuesday morning as I sat playing backgammon online, I heard that familiar sound from under my ribs and new to be heading for the bathroom. I had taken nothing additional, but i passed a black stone the size of a large grape! Just a few minutes later, I passed another one like that and a heap of black sand. I can only think that a clump(?) of old stuff had gotten caught coming out and stopped my cleansing on Saturday, then finished breaking up from the GCG and there was enough pressure behind it from the cleansing pressure to purge. I can tell you I had OH SWEET RELIEF! I felt better than I had felt in months, maybe even years. A few days of soreness was the only pain left.
I reckon I got cocky!!! I'd been eating organic all year. I felt so good that I decided I'd have a hotdog, chili and all, and an order of fries, 3 weeks later. People, I thought I was going to die! I spent the next 5 weeks as sick with my gall bladder as I'd ever been! This isn't taking a pill and feeling better, this is a life style, one that I am now committed to!
Fifth flush
was coming up. The very thought of the ES made me feel nauseous for days before hand. I knew I'd probably be getting to more large stones and needed my bile ducts to be open as they could be. I had seen people talking about apple juice, so I decided to mix the ES in apple juice instead of water. Not so bad! Not something I'd recommend with dinner, but sure does taste better than ES and water! I had to pick daughter and grandson up on Friday night after midnight, so I also changed the timing of my drinks so i could take the EOO and go to bed immediately. It was the gentlest cleanse I've had and still got out close to 200 stones.
Sixth flush
started with eating a huge bowl of fruit all day Thurs (sheesh, talk about starting clean!) I drank almost a gallon of organic apple juice Thurs and Fri (friend at work made the mistake of offering me a piece of her apple as we worked...if looks could kill...) I used the apple juice for the ES and will most likely continue to do so. All of this to say this: I'd seen 1200 Gallstones until today, yet, this was very different. Today’s stones were the tan ones, only saw maybe one green one. There weren't so many actual stones like before, but what seemed like pounds of sand. Today, there were loads of chaff again (hadn't seen it like that since the first flush), but instead of the creams white, it was a dark tan. I don't know if this is old chaff that was deep inside or if the apple juice colored it (BUT it was darker than the juice). I'd like to hear y'alls' ideas on this.
I've seen people "talk" about being frightened by this procedure and want to say this: I have experienced NOTHING cleansing that comes anywhere close to the pain of a sick gallbladder! Using the ES, you're only aware of the stones moving if you're very still and "listening" to your body. A hotdawg and french-fries hurt me much worse than Epsom Salts and olive oil!!!!
I first knew I had Gallstones when I was 28. At 52, I don't expect them to just disappear (would be nice though :D) I'm in this for the long haul, I've seen here that some of you have done 20 of these puppies!! IF THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES!!!!
I guess I'll stop this when I have told y'all all the different layers that I'm finding!!
Normally, I flush every 4 weeks, but due to an active grandson, I have to sort of do them around baseball tournament schedules, and he has me busy for the next 2-3 weekends, so this weekend, I did #7 after only 2 weeks. It was my first time flushing after only 2 weeks; I didn't know what to expect...but different it was!
The most noticeable difference was a smell? As soon as the bile started, it smelled like someone was in the process of giving my liver a perm!! Literally, it smelled just like perm solution!! It stayed that way all day.
I started with the apple juice, almost a gallon Thurs, Fri, and Sat. I ate nothing but fruit on Friday. I stopped my Homozon on Thurs night.
Saturday morning breakfast was a small bowl of oatmeal with ALOT of frozen strawberries and apple juice for more sweetness. For lunch i had *blush* a hummus sandwich on 7grain sprouted bread.
I drank my ES in apple juice as the 2 previous flushes at the recommended times; evoo/gfj @ 10pm and went to sleep ... for a short period of time. I spend most of flush night on the toilet - all but once.
At 5am I started passing stones, not so many as in previous flushes, probably a total of 30, only one being the size of my thumb nail, the rest were tiny pea size. These were green. Then I slept for 4 straight hours. When i got up I took more ES/AJ mixture, 2 hours later, I took the rest.
Like last time, I did pass a huge amount of chaff. This time it was even darker than before, I'd call that light brown instead of the cream or tan of the 2 previous times that I'd had a lot of chaff. There was a large amount of sand; it was tan to light brown.
Two hours after the last ES/AJ I started to eat a quart of watermelon. It took me hours to get it all down, but I don’t have that sluggish feeling I get when I don’t break fast, or get enough fluids into me fast enough.
The last 2 times, I saw liver flukes. Today there was only one of the red glass straw-looking ones.
The absolute only negative is a tiny bit of tenderness in my liver region, but I’ve come to expect this ... I had organs that could only have been barely functional.
Hopefully, before #8, I will be on Barefoot’s Dewormer.
This was #8, and like all others, it was ..... different:
On Thursday, I ate only fruit, drank almost 1/2 gallon of apple juice.
On Friday, I had 3 pieces of spouted grain bread for breakfast, vegan veggie soup and a small fruit cup for lunch, drank 32 oz of apple juice before 2pm.
ES in apple juice at 6 & 8pm
2Tbs of GCG @ 9pm
EVOO/GFJ @ 10pm
Slept until 4am when the buttpee started
ES @ 7:30am
Slept some more, took last ES around 11am when I got up for the day.
I decided to stop actually counting stones ... unless they are big as my thumb nail or larger!!! The stones are no longer my "prize." My health is and it's beginning to be felt! I did have a bunch of baby pea green stones, and a few tan ones; not as much chaff as last time, but it was the darker sort.
One thing I did change this time: I'd been reading Andreas about having colonix before and after. Don't know about y'all, but I find nothing "natural" about colon hydrotherapy! I've had some really bad days following flushes. Figuring this was from getting toxins back in my system from the flush, I decided to take a cleanse dose of my Homozon the following morning. I mixed a heaping tablespoon with a banana and had that for breakfast with lemon-water. This might be just the thing I've been missing! I had no healing crisis this time and I don't remember when my body felt this good! Today, I did pass more stones, tan ones. Those had to have been left behind in my colon from the flush. If stones are toxic, they need to come out!!!!
Going back to 4 week intervals now....
As always, this one was remarkably different:
I did this one Saturday night, since I had to work 4 hrs on Saturday morning.
Mostly ate fruit all week, took my Homozon/1teaspoon in water followed by a cup of water w/fresh lemon. I'm using Barefoot's Dewormer for parasites, and his oregano oil and olive leaf; these aid in parasite and fungal destruction, and help alleviate healing crisis. I use these products: 1 drop of oregano oil, 5-6 drops of olive leaf in 1Tablespoon of olive oil in the morning, I use w/flax seed oil at night.
Saturday breakfast was fruit, all I wanted. For lunch I had oatmeal w/only Sea Salt and sweetened w/pear juice.
ES @ the recommended 6 & 8pm
EVOO/GJ @ 10pm, went to bed immediately.
Potty breaks started in the middle of the night/3a.m., and I was up at least every 30 minutes all night long. I didn't see any stones until after my 3rd ES.
Being up so much, I didn't take the 3rd dose until I felt like getting up at 8:30ish and then again at 10:30ish.
I'm no longer trying to keep count of every little stone, but this flush was very prolific, easily over 100 stones that were at least 1/4" in diameter, around 20 that were 1/2". The stone colors were different than anything I'd seen to date, more of a pale olive rather than the pea green and light tan ones. Not nearly as much chaff was evident this time, it was golden tan colored.
I broke my fast with a large glass of 1/2 water, 1/2 pear juice with a gentle sprinkle of Sea Salt about noon, then a pint of Watermelon pieces all afternoon. I feel great!
The 2 major things that were different:
1. It's 9pm and I'm thinking I'll have to make a potty run before I finish typing this! I've never had buttpea past about 4pm.
2. Either my 1st or 2nd flush set my bottom on fire!!! I'm talking bring tears to your eyes kind of burning. After that one, I haven't felt like I needed to use anything to stop the burning until today. A cold wash rag sure did feel good many times throughout today!!!
It has been 5 weeks since my last flush; the grandson's baseball tourney schedule delayed it (it felt good to have the option of waiting!!) After flush 8 I was pain free for the first time since I don't know when! I only have a tiny bit of that usual soreness from the liver workout of last night.
I'm considering waiting 6 weeks until the next one.
What benefits do I see from 9 liver flushes?
I was in constant pain from the tip of my breast bone to the right side of my spin, that is totally gone.
I wasn't digesting hardly anything I ate; the evidence was in the pot! That has totally changed.
Since in my 20s, I woke up every morning stiff and achy. I felt like I lived in an old woman's body. Now, I wake up ready to take on the day!! Pretty cool for 52!!
Not being able to eat fat, my skin on my legs and feet looked like alligator skin that has greatly improved. The last month of taking the plant oil w/oregano and olive leaf are giving even more headway in this.
In my 30s, I developed large pores on my face and had 100s of large blackheads along my cheekbones. Today, the skin there looks like a procelain baby doll. I have very few very tiny blackheads left, there are still some medium size pores on my nose and along both sides of my nose.
The bottoms of my feet looked totally calloused for as long as i can remember. There have been times that they dried out so badly that they cracked and bled. Today, I look like I have real skin on my feet.
What have I done besides flush my liver 9 times?
Changed my diet:
no white flour, no White Sugar , NOTHING fried, very little that is processed and if it is, it's organic. I'm going more and more toward fruitarian.
Taking plant fats to get my omega 3s and 6s.
Changed my sleep habits:
from sleeping 4-5 hrs, going to bed at 1,2,3am to being asleep before 11pm these days and getting up before 6:30am.
Dry skin brushing:
this is amazing! The skin starts to crave it. If you haven't tried it, get a veggie brush tomorrow and just do it!
10th flush was done 4 weeks after #9. As usual, it was quite different!
After #9, insomnia seems to be a thing of my past!!!! *Cheers for liver flushing* I've slept all night long for the last month except for 1 night and it was storms that kept waking me.
Pre-flush was easy this time, I'm mostly eating all fruits these days. I did take my 1 tablespoon of Homozon instead of the usual 1 teaspoon on Fri morn. I was VERY clean to start this one.
I've been on Barefoot's Dewormer, taking my 30th day dosage earlier in the week. Fri night I did his recommended maintenance dose of 1 table spoon for the week.
Followed the schedule for Hudla Clark protocol pretty close. I did choose to add 2 tablespoons of the Dewormer to my oil/grapefruit juice cocktail, made it taste not 1/2 bad.
I was in bed right around 10, slept all night. This is only the 2nd time this has happened.
Had 2 very healthy potty trips upon waking.
Took the morning Epsom Salt dosages, did use apple juice instead of water again.
Had a great deal of that buttpee thang!! Had 67 stones over 1/4" in diameter, didn't intend on counting the small ones any longer, but there were very few of those green bbs. The counted stones were varying colors of green to black; some were almost striped looking, green and black.
The one really strange thing were those 2 pieces of fleshy looking things floating in the toilet, looked kind of like pieces of light colored salmon in texture and color. Figured that to be what I've heard y'all refer to as "exploded liver flukes."
Around 11:30 I started breaking the fast, added juice to my water 1/2 & 1/2 with Sea Salt . With that finished, I started eating my Watermelon around 12:30. I felt GREAT!
Early on with the flushes, buttpee stopped in early afternoon, NOT ANY MORE!! I was still going at 8pm... I felt like something wasn't right!! Why had my Watermelon not digested?? and why had I started passing it immediately upon eating it? Like within 20 minutes?? People, I had eaten 2 pint plastics of watermelon. Yesterday and today, I've passed at least 2 quarts of what I had thought was my watermelon??? Liver flukes, y'all??? These things are very close in color to the watermelon, but I chew my fruit until it's almost all juice, so there's lil fiber left, I'd have had to have been swallowing these cubes of melon whole to have them come out the other end this large!!!! Finally today, I braved it, I picked one out of the toilet, expecting it to be mushy watermelon, it was about like feeling a rubber fishing worm, very firm but pliable. I WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS AND EXPERIENCES ON THIS ONE!!!!!
I've been MISERABLE since #10. Passing all those liver flukes? Exposed raw flesh of the liver? Bile getting in the holes where the flukes lived? I don't know but tonight, after #12, I feel better than I have in 8 weeks. As always, this one was different:
The first different thing happened an hour and 50 minutes after the 1st ES. It usually doesn't make me GO until the middle of the night or the next morning, but I was going before the 2nd dose was due. That fist GO included 4 cubes, about 3/4" diameter; it was liver flukes!!!!! My liver/gallbladder area felt better immediately afterwards.
Followed Hulda Clark protocol with my typical changes: apple juice in place of water with the ES, added Dewormer to the evoo/gfj.
I keep hoping to be able to come here and report my first clean flush, but not this time!!! There were more than 30 stones that were at least 1/4" in diameter, 4 or 5 were 1/2" or better; these were all pea to dark olive green. Then there were literally hundreds of tiny ones that were dark olive green to black. I hadn't been seeing much chaff the last few flushes. Today there was a good bit and it was all dark tan/light brown, and a whole lot of tan sand.
I did continue using milk thistle for 16 days before flush as per Dr Dennis Hardy’s recommendation, and took up the last of the yellow dock that i had. Because of the discomfort I was having, he had me start on grapeseed extract...can't say that the herbs did anything for how my liver was feeling. It had to be doing cellular level detoxing and healing though.
There does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel.
I guess I will be forever amazed at how the same procedure, the same body gives such different reactions each time I flush my liver .
I had a healing crisis and a good deal of liver pain after passing the immense amount of liver flukes (was that in Aug or Sept?) I was very bumbed out over the whole mess. Understand that digestive carcinoma runs in my mother’s family. Mama lost her father to this, 2 brothers, a sister that died had early stages, and 2 of my 1st cousins have died from this before they turned 60, I'm 52 and frankly, the crisis caused FEAR. I wasn't watching my diet, eating not so much the SAD diet, but things I knew I had no business eating over the last 4-6 weeks. Finally, it dawned on my silly-self that I was getting into acidosis, and THAT was what was hurting me. So I made up my mind that this is MY bull, and I took it by the horns this past weekend.
Reading here in the last month, I came to realize that I'm keeping the buttpee thing going much too long; hours longer than I did when I started. So I'm questioning self on this. I was magnesium deficient when I started? I never went potty on the evening of the first 2 doses any more than I would on any other night and it was all over the next day by noonish. The last few months, I've been still in the throes of buttpee well after dark. Last flush, I found myself GOING the first evening. So I'm wondering if maybe now I've gotten my minerals imbalanced...
Here's what I chose to do:
Saturday night:
My usual apple juice to hold the Epsom Salts , drinkable, definitely not delicious; instead of the usual 4T to 3 cups of apple juice, I only used 3T.
3/4c of Epsom Salts /apple juice at 6pm
(I was already going to the potty before the 2nd dose)
3/4c of epsom salts/apple juice at 8pm
(before 9pm, I've got full blow buttpee going on! ... and for those that come in here screaming we're not passing gall/liverstones?? Please explain the little pea size green stones I passed hours before I ever drank the evoo/grapefruit mixture - there were 5 of them when I even thought to look ... and be careful here, you'll be explaining it to a seasoned colon cleanser! There's NO WAY they had been stuck there since last time)
I was going to the potty every few minuters and KNEW I wouldn't be drinking my Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil cocktail and going to bed to sleep. I couldn't have lain for more than a few minutes at a time, so i delayed the cocktail until around midnight when my bowels seemed to settle down.
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 cup of hand squeezed grapefruit juice, 2T Dewormer (it goes down easily enough with a straw, I can get the whole thing down in about a minute)
I immediately went to bed, thought I was going to spend sometime reading a Dr Christopher little book, but I was READY to sleep.
2a.m. I'm up and GOINGGGGGG ... sand ... course sand!!! LOTS of it. It was a combination of tan/like the color of the "calcified" (?) stones I'd passed and black/like the huge stones I'd passed. Then I slept for the rest of the night.
I don't get up to take the morning epsom salts at 6am, I take it when I get up and then 2 hours later.
8:15am 3/4 cup of the epsom salts
10:15am the last
I only went to the potty once all morning long??? What's with that? Then, when it started, again, there was LOTS of sand, coarse sand. I had begun to think there wasn't going to be any stones. Very late in the afternoon, they came, but only about 21-22 that were larger than 1/4" and literally none of those little bb sort. Since starting flushing New Years weekend, I hadn't seen the sand like that first time until this time. I expelled cups and cups and cups of the sand/chaff?
So, besides less than perfect diet, what's been different, I have to ask myself.
1. a full month on Barefoot’s Kidney Cleanse, it has stone busters
2. 2 full weeks on Barefoot’s Liver/Gallbladder balance, an herbal liver support formula.
3. 1 full week on Barefoot’s Liver Cleanser, lecithin and herbs for breaking up gallstones
This evening, Monday, I have that post-flush soreness that I relate to a liver workout, but absolutely NO MORE PAIN!
... and you can bet your last $ that I haven't put a thing in my mouth today that would cause acidity!!!!!
My family's liver history tells me that the alternative to this is very ugly; I opt OUT of THAT! :D
The differences become even more baffling...
Let me start 2 weeks ago: I fell out of the attic. I am too old to be bouncing on my tail like Tigger, especially with an 8' 1st drop. I made it to bed; listened to my body, decided I didn't need a dr. It's been a rough 2 weeks, but I'll live.
24 hours after the fall, I passed 3 of the large black gallstones, each over 1/2" in diameter. I fell hard enough to knock stones out of my liver or gallbladder...
I've spent about an hour each night in an Epsom Salt’s bath to combat the sore buns and innards.
I had spoken the last 2 flushes about feeling that I had caused a mineral imbalance with the flushing. Including what I'd have absorbed in the baths, I was worried about this flush.
Like last month, I cut the dosage of Epsom Salt back to 3T in 3 cups of apple juice.
This was taken in 3/4 cup cocktails at 6pm & 8pm.
Unlike the last 2 times, I didn't get the trots ... not at all. I did have awful rumbling.
At 10pm, my stomach didn't want any evoo/grapefruit/Dewormer!!!!! I didn't take it until after 12:30am when the rumbling calmed a bit.
At 3:30am, I had to GOOOOOO. A bit of sand, 6 or 8 tiny green stones, 6-8 tiny tan stones.
When I got up, I took another dose of the es/aj and waited ... and waited ... and waited. I never did even get to anything near buttpee, rumbling and gas were the items of the day. I passed 7 green or tan stones, each of them was at least 1/2" diameter;, then, late last evening, I passed a good bit of sand.
Now ... Liver Flush frustration is thinking now here it comes, running for the pot and passing gas!!!!!! Those of you with experience know that you don't dare "pass gas" during a liver flush!!!!!
Do I consider this a successful flush? A liver that has plagued me for the last 2 weeks has the typical post-flush soreness instead of the pain of the last 2 weeks. Something came out of there that has given me fits for 2 weeks, how can that be anything but a success???
Ever wondered about spontaneously releasing stones? I had never paid any attention til I had that fall out of the attic and the next day realized that I'd knocked black 1/2" stones out, but there they were. The fall gave my liver fits. I went ahead and did the Dec flush, but decided to give it a rest for Jan.
The year ended with a OJ fast. I was using MH’s Spice for Life formulas, the Spice formula has a lot of cayenne, a dialative herb. That with the OJ and my daily doses of plant oils, next thing I knew, there were stones in the toilet. Didn't give it a whole lot of thought until the end of Jan, I did another OJ flush, with the spices, eating my plant oils ... VOILA ... stones in the toilet. Really is giving me much thought to Docta Dennis' flush.
This month’s flush was Fri evening, Sat a.m.
Did my version of the Hulda Clark flush
6 & 8 pm ... drinking the 3 cups of apple juice w/3T of Epsom Salt in 3/4 c doses
10 pm ... 1/2 Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil w/1/2 gfj + 1T of Dewormer
Now that I no longer fight constipation, even the first dose of ES has me GOING.
Bedtime, my liver and gallbladder sounded like a war-zone! I was GOING every little bit until 4:30 ... sludge, no stones during the night.
Sat a.m., I only took one dose of the ES, things were moving right along just fine, TY!
The very DIFFERENT thing with this one ... well there were 2:
1) I passed these buggie things. Yellowish-white, about twice the size of the red liver flukes ... some were whole ... they were smooth and shiny on top and had leg-looking extensions all around the body; some were much longer like maybe tenacles? Some were whole and some had the exploded look like liver flukes do. There were probably about 5 whole ones and maybe a dozen of the exploded pieces.
I have no idea what these parasites were.
2) I've only been counting stones that are 1/4" or larger for a good while now. This time there were none of those, first time for this...but there were probably 50 or so of the bb-sort, and they were a color I hadn't experienced ... it's hard to describe how a dark olive green can be bright too, but that's the best way I can describe.
There was a 3rd thing very different also:
3) I had God-awful gas! Liver Flushing and having gas is NO fun! The gas lasted all day Saturday and Sunday. I had eaten nothing but a whole pineapple for my no-fat meals and pineapple doesn't normally give me gas at all.
I felt better during this flush than I think I ever have. I was sleepy from not having slept the night before, but I didn't have any of the washed-out-dishrag feelings. Plenty of water probably helped with that.
Also, my liver doesn't feel like it's been to the gym for a strenuous work out. *wink* before long, I just might have a normal liver!!!!! yayayayaya (puts on her lil dancing shoes for MOJO ... the ones with bells on the toes*)
I did 14 flushes between the last weekend in 2005 and the whole year of 2006.
January came and I just couldn't make myself do #15. The thought was exhausting.
So #15 was in Feb. I had every intention of doing #16 in March and before I could even get to 6pm for the first es dose, I went into a spontaneous flush, passing chaff and stones. This had happened to me on several previous occasions and I was relating it to my supplementing unrefined plant oils and my loving to drink hot lemonade, but on that day, I'd had neither.
I've felt like something MAJOR was moving down for flushing since my last flush and I was very eager to do this one and see what it was!
My diet Saturday was far from what I'd recommend:
breakfast was a cup of coffee and a pack of junk food crackers
lunch was a banana sandwich w/regular mayonnaise (I was craving this, and I eat what I crave ... PERIOD)
prepared ahead 4 tablespoons of Epsom Salts in 3 cups of organic apple juice.
6pm - 3/4 cups of es/aj mixture ... had a normal bm after that ... I normally get an "opening" feeling with this first dose, my eyesight improves, my mind feels like a sponge that would soak up anything coming at it. I usually feel GREAT here. I didn't experience any of this. I felt like my body temperature dropped.
8pm - 3/4 cups of es/aj mixture ... bowels loosened up very well
10pm - I prepared 1/2 cup of evoo, 1/2 cup fresh squeezed red grapefruit juice, added a generous splash of Dewormer (my parasite cleanse product) and headed for bed.
On the way upstairs, I felt like I had a cannonball in my tummy. I was cold, I felt nauseous. I'm asking self if I had had enough of this flushing stuff and realized I really wanted to continue, but that I couldn't drink this cocktail right NOW. I went on to bed, and went to sleep without drinking the cocktail, fully intending to drink it when I woke up during the night. One hour later, I was wide awake and doing to the bathroom every couple minutes, it was more explosive than the normal buttpee, but not the draining diarrhea like when you have a virus. I finally got up and stayed up til 3am, I wasn't getting any rest from being in bed. During this period, I passed liver flukes and very large, very thick mucus, maybe mutated candida? My mood at this point was better out than in!!!
At 3am, I returned to my bed and took my evoo/gfj cocktail and slept til after 8am. I woke up sluggish, of course. I took another 3/4 cup of the es/aj.
Let the buttpee begin!!!! ... and it did!!!
This was my first stone free flush. I'd feel like it was because I'd done just about everything wrong accept for ONE thing. I haven't passed that much chaff since my very first flush. Cups and cups of chaff from white to a med tan floated on my toilet water yesterday.
I saw parasites that I'd never seen before also: thread worms I think they are called. There were the sesame seed looking things, and tiny versions of what somebody here told me are spider-worms.
Late in the afternoon, I was passing something very strange: It looked like the chaff, but was joined together, or it was something the same color as the chaff and had chaff stuck to it. It was rather fleshy looking.
This buttpee thing is going on for much too long for me. I took a single dose yesterday morning and was still trotting after 5pm. Obviously when I started, I must have had a magnesium deficiency and now I don't. I will cut back on the Epsom Salts from now on.
*Note: these articles were written each month as I flushed. For some reason, layers 11 & 12 are the same article at curezone. That is impossible except for a computer glitch.

Jon's 5-Day Liver Gallbladder Flush
Jon has frequently said that doing the Liver/Gallbladder Flush will probably produce a bigger change in your health than any other single component of the Baseline of Health program. This is because the liver is probably the hardest working organ in your body. It has hundreds of tasks to perform, including detoxification of the blood. It is also a reservoir for Sugar and fat and is usually congested with an excess of both, so much so that average people, so-called healthy people, often use more than 60% of their livers just for storage. A sluggish liver means fatigue and toxemia and a high risk of various chronic diseases. For most people it will probably take several (2-3) Liver Flushes to truly clean the liver out -- and about 2 years (since liver cells replace themselves every 18 months) to actually regenerate your liver.
Jon has described in several places how to do a liver and gallbladder flush. But I got him to put down on paper several months ago, in detail, EXACTLY how HE does it. That is the focus of this newsletter.
First thing on rising, drink 8 oz of pure water to flush your digestive tract.
An hour later, in a blender, mix up 8 oz of any fresh squeezed citrus juice (fresh squeezed apple juice or grape juice with all the sediment will work too), one lemon, 1 clove (not the whole bulb, just one clove) of garlic (increase by 1 clove each day), 1 tablespoon of olive oil (increase by 1 tablespoon each day), and a piece of ginger (about 1" long) along with 4-8 ounces of pure water. Drink it down and follow with a fresh juice chaser to clear your mouth (If desired). Fifteen minutes after consuming this drink, follow with 2 cups of the liver/detox tea. It is also important to take 12 droppersful of the liver/detox tincture each day (spread throughout the day) while on the 5-day cleanse -- and continuing after until the bottle is gone. (Again, a dropperful is the amount that fills a dropper when you squeeze and let go -- about half the physical dropper.) The Detox Diet It is extremely beneficial to incorporate a 2-day raw food and 3-day juice-fast into your 5-day cleanse. (Actually, I usually do a 5 day juice fast while on the detox.) Day 1 During the morning (after your cleansing drink and stopping one hour before lunch), eat all the live FRESH fruit or vegetable juice you want. Beet juice is especially good. In general, do not mix your fruit and vegetable juices together, and feel free to dilute your juices. (Certain combinations such as carrot and apple work together, but unless you know for sure, don't mix fruit and vegetable). Make sure to swish all juices thoroughly in the mouth before swallowing. For lunch you can have more diluted juice, or a raw vegetable or sprout salad. Absolutely do not use bottled dressing. Make your own dressing from fresh olive oil and lemon or apple cider vinegar and any fresh herbs and spices you of your choice. (Even better is to use no oil in your dressing. See note on fats below.) If you are hungry throughout the day, feel free to snack on fresh vegetables or juices. For dinner eat fresh fruit or fruit juice or fruit smoothes. Days 2-4 After your morning flush, drink diluted juices and herbal tea throughout the day -- as much as you can drink. Try to consume 128 ounces during the day. Avoid all oils and fats. Also recommended throughout the day is to consume cups of potassium broth. Potassium broth takes advantage of the fact that the outside of a potato is one of the highest plant sources of potassium. Take the peelings (1/4" to 1/2" including the skin) of several potatoes. Do NOT use the inside. Add other well chopped vegetables to taste including carrots (with skin), Celery , whole beets (including greens), fresh parsley, and lots of onion and garlic (up to 50 cloves). Simmer for 40-60 minutes in a covered pot using clean filtered water. Strain out the vegetables, cool and drink the broth. Refrigerate leftover broth in glass containers in the refrigerator for use over the next couple of days. As much as possible, do not add spices to the potassium broth. If you must, though, you can add a little "Bragg Liquid Aminos" or real Tamari sauce for flavor. Day 5 Same as Day 1 Days 6-8 Very clean diet of organic or locally grown produce – fruits and vegetables. Remember, your body will suck up whatever you put into it right after the cleanse. Eating fried chicken and Ding Dongs, for example, immediately after detoxing, will almost totally nullify the entire detox. Notes on the Morning Drink Add your garlic and ginger to the blender first. Than add only a little bit of the orange juice (or grape if that's what you're using). This will allow you to totally liquify the garlic and ginger before you add the rest of the oil and orange juice and water. One other trick is to slice the chunks of garlic into smaller pieces across the fiber. This will prevent longer fibers from appearing in your drink. Notes on the Liver Detox Tea The tea helps with the flushing process itself, but also helps minimize any discomfort or nausea. The key herb in the tea is dandelion root, one of the strongest herbal lipotropics known. That is to say, it flushes fat deposits from the liver. Other herbs that you will find in the tea include things like: ginger, clove, cinnamon, burdock root, and horsetail. Incidentally, some of the other herbs used in the tea (such as uva ursi, parsley root, and juniper berries) are also extremely beneficial to the kidneys. Two cups of the tea should be consumed fifteen minutes after drinking your citrus and olive oil flush. But several cups can and should be consumed throughout the day. In fact, consuming the liver/detox tea as a regular part of your diet is a pleasant and tasty way to continually optimize your health. (Feel free to sweeten the tea with honey or real maple syrup as desired.) You will want a small tea strainer to clean out the small tea bits in the water. I like to make my tea in a big 8 quart Dutch Oven pot. I fill the pot the night before and add 4-5 tablespoons of Tea, which I let soak overnight. In the morning I simmer for 20 minutes. Then I turn the heat to as low as it goes to keep the tea warm and scoop out cups as I want during the day. I'll drink 5-8 cups a day. At night, I turn off the heat and just top the pot off with water and add 2 more tablespoons of tea to the mix and repeat the simmering process in the morning. Each day, the tea just gets stronger and richer. Notes on Taking the Liver Tincture and Blood Cleanser To keep things simple, I use 4 droppers of both the liver tincture and the blood cleanser three times a day during the flush. That's 12 droppers of each a day. Since each bottle contains about 60 droppers, that means I finish the two bottles in 5 to 5 ½ days. There's no way to make these tinctures taste good. They are very bitter. I put my 8 droppers in about 1 oz of juice (for this, bottled apple juice works fine) and shoot it down like a shot of bad whiskey. Then I chase with a swig of plain juice to clean the palette. (Note: The blood cleanser is not actually part of the liver detox, but I like to combine my liver and blood cleanse into one operation. It's not essential to do it that way, but it makes sense.) What You Need to Know About Fats The way the flush works is that you starve your body of fats all day. This allows bile to build up in your liver and gallbladder. Then, in the morning, you have your only intake of fat (1-5 tablespoons of olive oil, depending on which day of the flush you're on). This causes the liver and gallbladder to literally "wring themselves out" in an attempt to deal with the oil -- squeezing out accumulated fat, cholesterol, and toxins in the process. The more fat that you consume during the day, the more you minimize the purging action of the olive oil drink. In other words, it's best to avoid all fats and oils during the liver/gallbladder flush. Note: the purging action gets progressively stronger each day on the flush. On the last day, when you consume 5 tablespoons of olive oil, that works out to a half cup of oil in one shot. That really squeezes the liver and gallbladder. Supplements & Medications In general, the recommendation is to stop using supplements during the detox. Since most supplements, especially vitamin formulas, have to be processed by the liver, it makes sense to just give your liver a rest during the detox. Exceptions include, a colon corrective formula to keep things moving and digestive enzymes with your juice or salads to facilitate digestion, and you can also use probiotics if you want. As for medications, you will want to talk to your doctor before doing the liver detox to see if there are any potential problems. For example, all of the garlic used in the program thins the blood. If you are taking blood thinning medication, that could cause problems. In general though, the rule of thumb is that if you are on medication, you will want to keep using it while detoxing. One other thing to watch for is that blood pressure tends to drop significantly during the detox -- especially if you're combining it with a 5 day juice fast -- so you will want to watch any blood pressure medication you might be using. Note: all of the above formulas (my versions of them) are available from Baseline Nutritionals®, and all of the instrucitons in this newsletter apply specifically to those formulas. If you have other formulas from another company that you prefer, go for it. Just adjust your use of those formulas according to the instructions that come with them. If you're diabetic or hyplglycemic, you'll want to make a couple of adjustments. Moderate exercise every day will help make you feel a whole lot better – and will help keep things moving.

East and West, Dandelion is Best
(NaturalNews) It is the time of year to find dandelion greens emerging from the ground. Dandelion leaves are found in basal rosettes, and will stay this way even when it puts up its flower stalk. The leaves are hairless and sharply toothed (the name Dandelion means "tooth of lion.") Milky white sap is found running through the leaves and hollow flower stalk when broken. Other plants like chicory and wild lettuce have leaves similar to dandelion; they can be differentiated by the hairlessness of dandelion, and the fact that the dandelion leaves stay in their basal rosette, while other leaves go up the flower stalks.
In the west, dandelions are known to be potent liver detoxifiers. The tincture of the roots and leaves (recipe below) can help clear up jaundice and other disorders due to liver and gall bladder congestion. Some people take dandelion root tincture daily in early spring for a couple weeks as a cleanse for the liver.
Dandelion leaves are very nourishing; they are 15% protein, and high in vitamins and minerals. One cup of dandelion greens contains 112% daily recommendation of vitamin A, 32% of vitamin C, and 535% of vitamin K. They also contain 218 mg potassium, 103 mg calcium, and 1.7 mg of iron.(1)
In Eastern Medicine, dandelion roots (known as Pu Gong Ying) are dried and used in decoctions, or very strong teas, made from boiling roots and other herbs for at least an hour. Decoctions of dandelion are used to "clear heat and fire toxicity, especially Liver heat with red, swollen and painful eyes." (2) In Chinese Medicine, the Liver energy pathway opens on the eyes, and congestion and heat of the Liver can show up in hot red eyes. Chinese herbalists also use dandelion root to reduce breast and intestinal abscesses, and to promote lactation. (3)
The best time to harvest dandelion leaves and roots is early spring before the flower blooms, or late fall, once the flower has gone by. Dandelion taproots are deep, and are best harvested with a shovel or trowel. Even so, it is unlikely to get the entire root, and the dandelion will be back later in the season; they are very hardy.
Leaves can be picked, chopped and added to salads.
When drying the root, do not wash, or they will mold. Brush dirt off roots, chop the roots and set them in a warm, dark, well ventilated place to dry. If you have a dehydrator you can put them in at 105 degrees, to preserve vitamins and minerals. Once fully dried, they can be stored in airtight containers and used in teas and decoctions. Boil 1 Tbsp root per 2 cups water, the longer it boils the stronger the tea will be.
Dandelion roots can also be roasted to make a rich coffee substitute.
To make dandelion tincture, harvest the root and leaves when flowers are not present. Both leaves and roots can be washed, chopped, put into a glass jar, and covered with alcohol like 100 proof vodka. Steep in dark cupboard for 6 weeks, then strain and save liquid. A common dose is 10 - 30 drops of tincture per day to cleanse liver.

(NaturalNews) The small intestine is continuous with the stomach at the pyloric sphincter and has a length of 16–19 feet. It leads into the large intestine, which is about 3.5–5 feet long. The small intestine secretes intestinal juice to complete the digestion of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It also absorbs nutrient materials necessary for nourishing and maintaining the body and protects it against infection by microbes that have survived the antimicrobial action of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
Intestinal Diseases
When acid food (chyme) from the stomach enters the duodenum, it combines first with bile and pancreatic juice, and then with intestinal juice. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder drastically reduce the secretion of bile, which weakens the ability of pancreatic enzymes to digest carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. This, in turn, prevents the small intestine from properly absorbing the nutrient components of these foods (such as monosaccharides from carbohydrates, amino acids from protein, and fatty acids and glycerol from fats). This incomplete absorption can lead to undernourishment and food cravings.
Since the presence of bile in the intestines is essential for the absorption of life-essential fats, calcium, and vitamin K, Gallstones can lead to life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer. The liver uses the fat-soluble vitamin K to produce the compounds responsible for the clotting of blood. In case of poor vitamin K absorption, hemorrhagic disease may result. The body cannot fully absorb this vitamin when a problem with the digestion of fat exists. The main cause of inadequate vitamin K absorption is an insufficient supply of bile, pancreatic lipase, and pancreatic fat. It stands to reason that following a low-fat or no-fat diet can actually endanger your life.
Calcium is essential for the hardening of bone and teeth, the coagulation of blood, and the mechanism of muscle contraction. Poor bile secretion can, therefore, undermine the uptake of calcium, a mineral the body requires for some of its most vital activities.
What applies to vitamin K also applies to all other fat-soluble vitamins, including vitamins A, E, and D. The small intestine can only absorb vitamin A and carotene sufficiently if fat absorption is normal. If vitamin A absorption is insufficient, the epithelial cells become damaged. These cells form an essential part of all the organs, blood vessels, lymph vessels, and so on in the body. Vitamin A is also necessary to maintain healthy eyes and protect against or reduce microbial infection. Vitamin D is essential for calcification of bones and teeth. It is of great importance to realize that supplementing these vitamins does not resolve the problem of deficiency.
To sum it up, without normal bile secretions, the body cannot digest and absorb enough of these vitamins, which, in turn, can cause considerable damage to the circulatory, lymphatic, and urinary systems.
Inadequately digested foods tend to ferment and putrefy in the small and large intestines. They attract a vast number of bacteria to help speed up the process of decomposition. The breakdown products are often very toxic, and so are the excretions produced by the bacteria. All of this strongly irritates the mucus lining, which is one of the body’s foremost defense lines against disease-causing agents. Regular exposure to these toxins impairs the body’s immune system, 60 percent of which is located in the intestines. Overburdened by a constant invasion of toxins, the small and large intestines may be afflicted with a number of disorders, including diarrhea, constipation, abdominal gas, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticular disease, hernias, polyps, dysentery, appendicitis, volvulus, and intussusceptions, as well as both benign and malignant tumors.
Ample bile flow maintains good digestion and absorption of food and has a strong cleansing action throughout the intestinal tract. Every part of the body depends on the basic nutrients made available through the digestive system, as well as the efficient removal of waste products from that system. Gallstones in the liver and gallbladder considerably disrupt both these vital processes. Therefore, they can be held accountable for most, if not all, of the different kinds of ailments that can afflict the body. Removal of gallstones from these two organs helps to normalize the digestive and eliminative functions, improve cell metabolism, and maintain balance throughout the body.
Diseases of the Liver
The liver is the largest gland in the body. It weighs up to three pounds, is suspended behind the ribs on the upper right side of the abdomen, and spans almost the entire width of the body. Being responsible for hundreds of different functions, it is also the most complex and active organ in the body.
Since the liver is in charge of processing, converting, distributing, and maintaining the body’s vital “fuel” supply (for example, nutrients and energy), anything that interferes with these functions must have a serious, detrimental impact on the health of the liver and the body as a whole. The strongest interference stems from the presence of gallstones.
Besides manufacturing cholesterol -- an essential building material of organ cells, hormones, and bile -- the liver also produces hormones and proteins that affect the way the body functions, grows, and heals. Furthermore, it makes new amino acids and converts existing ones into proteins. These proteins are the main building blocks of the cells, hormones, neurotransmitters, genes, and so forth. Other essential functions of the liver include breaking down old, worn-out cells; recycling proteins and iron; and storing vitamins and nutrients. Gallstones are a hazard to all these vital tasks.
In addition to breaking down alcohol in the blood, the liver also detoxifies noxious substances, bacteria, parasites, and certain components of pharmaceutical drugs. It uses specific enzymes to convert waste or poisons into substances that can be safely removed from the body. In addition, the liver filters more than one quart of blood each minute. Most of the filtered waste products leave the liver via the bile stream.
Gallstones obstructing the bile ducts lead to high levels of toxicity in the liver and, ultimately, to liver diseases. This development is further exacerbated by one’s intake of pharmaceutical drugs, normally broken down by the liver. The presence of gallstones prevents their detoxification, which can cause “overdosing” and devastating side effects, even at normal doses. It also means that the liver is at risk for damage from the breakdown products of the drugs on which it acts. Alcohol that is not detoxified properly by the liver can seriously injure or destroy liver cells.
All liver diseases are preceded by extensive bile duct obstruction through gallstones. The gallstones distort the structural framework of the liver lobules, which are the main units constituting the liver (which contains more than 50,000 such units). Subsequently, blood circulation to and from these lobules, and the cells of which they are composed, becomes increasingly difficult. In addition, the liver cells have to cut down bile production. Nerve fibers also become damaged. Prolonged suffocation due to the presence of stones eventually damages or destroys liver cells and their lobules. Fibrous tissue gradually replaces damaged cells, causing further obstruction and an increase in pressure on the liver’s blood vessels. If the regeneration of liver cells does not keep pace with this damage, liver cirrhosis is imminent. Liver cirrhosis usually leads to death.
Liver failure occurs when cell suffocation destroys so many liver cells that the number of cells required to carry out the organ’s most important and vital functions is insufficient. Consequences of liver failure include drowsiness, confusion, shaking of hands tremor, drop in blood sugar, infection, kidney failure and fluid retention, uncontrolled bleeding, coma, and death. The capability of the liver to recover from major damage, though, is truly remarkable. Once the Liver Flush has removed all gallstones, and the afflicted person discontinues using alcohol and medicinal drugs, there usually are no significant long-term consequences, even though many of the liver cells may have been destroyed during the illness. When the cells grow again, they will do so in an ordered fashion that permits normal liver functions. This is possible because in liver failure (as opposed to liver cirrhosis) the basic structure of the liver has not been substantially compromised.
Acute hepatitis results when whole groups of liver cells begin to die off. Gallstones harbor large quantities of viral material, which can invade and infect liver cells, causing cell-degenerative changes. As gallstones increase in number and size, and as more cells become infected and die, entire lobules begin to collapse, and blood vessels begin to develop kinks. This greatly affects blood circulation to the remaining liver cells. The extent of the damage that these changes have on the liver and its overall performance largely depends on the degree of obstruction caused by the gallstones in the liver bile ducts. Cancer of the liver only occurs after many years of progressive occlusion of the liver bile ducts. This applies also to tumors in the liver that emanate from primary tumors in the GI tract, lungs, or breast.
Most liver infections (type A, type B, type non-A, and type non-B) occur when a certain number of liver lobules are congested with gallstones, which can even happen at a very early age. The now common practice of prematurely cutting or clamping the umbilical cord that connects a newborn baby with his mother, leaves the child with just two-thirds of its required blood volume, a lot of toxins normally filtered out by the placenta during the first hour after birth, and nearly no antibodies to protect it against disease. It usually takes at least 40 to 60 minutes before the umbilical cord stops throbbing completely. Cutting the cord too early constitutes an act of medical negligence that can affect the baby’s liver right from the start and set it up for gallstone formation even during childhood. This can subsequently lead to liver infections. Hepatitis C infection alone affects 5 million Americans and kills 30,000 each year, more than die from AIDS.
A healthy liver and immune system are perfectly able to destroy viral material, regardless of whether the virus has been picked up from the external environment or has entered the bloodstream in some other way. The majority of all people exposed to these viruses never fall ill. In fact, we all have most viruses that exist outside the body in our body right now. However, when large amounts of gallstones are present, the liver becomes congested and toxic, which turns it into a conducive environment for viral activity. Viruses are intracellular parasites that enter a host cell and take over the host’s cellular machinery to produce new viral particles (it also has been proved that viruses can be created from bacteria within the cells). But viruses don’t develop and attack cells randomly. Contrary to common belief, viruses tend to “hijack” the nuclei of the weakest and most damaged cells to prevent them from mutating. Not all viruses succeed, though, and liver cancer may result. Their presence in cancer cells should not be misconstrued to have cancer-producing effects.
Gallstones can harbor plenty of live viruses. Some of these viruses break free and enter the blood. This is known as chronic hepatitis. Non-viral infections of the liver may be triggered (not caused) by bacteria that spread from any of the bile ducts obstructed with gallstones.
The presence of gallstones in the bile ducts also impairs the liver cells’ ability to deal with toxic substances such as chloroform, cytotoxic drugs, anabolic steroids, alcohol, aspirin, fungi, food additives , and the like. When this occurs, the body develops hypersensitivity to these predictable toxic substances and to other unpredictable ones contained in numerous medicinal drugs. Many allergies stem from such conditions of hypersensitivity. For the same reason, there may also be a drastic increase in toxic side effects resulting from the intake of medicinal drugs, side effects that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or pharmaceutical companies may not even be aware of.
The most common form of jaundice results from gallstones being stuck in the bile duct leading to the duodenum, and/or from gallstones and fibrous tissue distorting the structural framework of the liver lobules. The movement of bile through the bile channels (canaliculi) is blocked, and the liver cells can no longer conjugate and excrete bile pigment, known as bilirubin. Consequently, there is a buildup in the bloodstream of both bile and the substances from which it is made. As bilirubin begins to build up in the blood, it stains the skin. Bilirubin concentration in the blood may be three times above normal before a yellow coloration of both the skin and the conjunctiva of the eyes becomes apparent. Unconjugated bilirubin has a toxic effect on brain cells. A tumor in the head of the pancreas caused by bile duct congestion may also cause jaundice.
Diseases of the Gallbladder and Bile Ducts
The liver secretes bile, which passes via the two hepatic ducts into the common hepatic duct. The common hepatic duct runs for 1.5 inches before joining the cystic duct that connects it with the gallbladder. Liver bile continues its journey through the common bile duct into the intestinal tract, but most of it must first pass into the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped pouch that protrudes from the bile duct. It is attached to the posterior side of the liver.
A normal gallbladder generally holds about 2 fluid ounces of bile. The bile stored in the gallbladder, however, has a different consistency than the bile found in the liver. In the gallbladder, most of the salt and water contained in the bile is reabsorbed, thus reducing its volume to a mere one-tenth of its original quantity. Bile salts (as opposed to regular salt) are not absorbed, though, which means their concentration is increased about tenfold. On the other hand, the gallbladder adds mucus to the bile, which turns it into a thick, mucus-like substance. Its high concentration makes bile the powerful digestive aid that it is.
The muscular walls of the gallbladder contract and eject bile when acidic foods and most protein foods enter the duodenum from the stomach. A more marked gallbladder activity is noted if food entering the duodenum contains a high proportion of fat. The body uses the bile salts contained in bile to emulsify the fat and facilitate its digestion. Once the bile salts have done their job and left the emulsified fat for intestinal absorption, they travel on down the intestine. Most of them are reabsorbed in the final section of the small intestine (ileum) and carried back to the liver. Once in the liver, the bile salts are collected again in the bile and secreted into the duodenum. Intestinal congestion sharply reduces the amount of bile salts needed for proper bile production and fat digestion. Diminished bile salt concentration in the bile causes gallstones, and leaves large amounts of fats undigested; this is hazardous to the intestinal environment.
Gallstones in the gallbladder may be made primarily of cholesterol, calcium, or pigments such as bilirubin. Cholesterol is the commonest component, but many of the stones are of mixed composition. Besides the above ingredients, gallstones may contain bile salts, water, and mucus, as well as toxins, bacteria, and, sometimes, dead parasites.
Typically, stones in the gallbladder keep growing in size for about eight years before noticeable symptoms begin to appear. Larger stones are generally calcified and can be detected easily through radiological means or by using ultrasound. Some 85 percent of the gallstones found in the gallbladder measure about ¾ inches across, although some can become as large as 2 to 3 inches across. Such stones form when, for reasons explained in Chapter 3 of The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush (www.ener-chi.com) , bile in the gallbladder becomes too saturated and its unabsorbed constituents begin to harden.
If a gallstone slips out of the gallbladder and becomes impacted in the cystic bile duct or common bile duct, there is very strong spasmodic contraction of the wall of the duct. The contraction helps to move the stone onward. This causes severe pain, known as biliary colic, and is accompanied by considerable distension of the gallbladder. If the gallbladder is packed with gallstones, it can suffer extremely painful spasmodic muscle contractions. (I suffered over 40 such attacks before my first liver and gallbladder flush, during which I passed over 600 stones. After my first flush, I never suffered another attack again.)
Gallstones can cause irritation and inflammation of the lining of the gallbladder, as well as of the cystic and common bile ducts. This is a condition known as cholecystitis. There may also be superimposed microbial infection. It is quite common to encounter ulceration of the tissues between the gallbladder and the duodenum or colon, with fistula formation and fibrous adhesions.
Gallbladder disease generally originates in the liver. When the occurrence of gallstones in the bile ducts of the liver, and, eventually the development of fibrous tissue, distort the structure of liver lobules, venous blood pressure starts to rise in the portal vein. This, in turn, increases the blood pressure in the cystic vein, which drains venous blood from the gallbladder into the portal vein. The incomplete elimination of waste products through the cystic duct causes a backup of acidic waste in the tissues composing the gallbladder. This gradually reduces the stamina and performance of the gallbladder. Subsequently, the formation of mineralized gallstones is just a matter of time.
