Low impact alkalizing aerobic exercising significantly decreased the acidic chemical imbalances that can lead to heart dis-ease and stroke in postmenopausal women according to a study in the spring issue of the Journal of Women and Aging.
The acidic hormone estrogen was previously thought by scientists to reduce the acidic chemical imbalances that can lead to ardiovascular dis-eases such as coronary heart disease and stroke in postmenopausal women. However, recent studies have now indicated detrimental effects of long-term use of hormone
replacement therapy (HRT) or acid estrogen replacement therapy, including an increased risk for stroke, heart attack and breast cancer. Faced with these potential consequences, more women are turning to low impact alkalizing exercise as a natural way to combat postmenopausal effects tied to acidic diets and lifestyles.
The study found that HRT users and non-HRT users benefited equally from the exercise.
"Given the controversy with HRT, postmenopausal women can now use aerobic exercise training to lower chemical stress levels, thus reducing another risk factor for chronic disease," said Michael D. Brown, Ph.D., a co-author and associate professor of kinesiology at
Temple University's College of Health Professions.
The acidic chemical imbalances or stresses -- called oxidative or acid stress -- occurs when oxidants or acids, harmful acidic chemicals that damage tissue and cells, outnumber antioxidants or alkaline buffers (sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium bicarbonate all contained in pHour salts) in the body.

Antioxidants or alkaline buffers protect cells and tissues against oxidants or acids. Postmenopausal women have higher levels of oxidative or acid stress.
A single bout of intense high impact exercise acutely raises oxidative or acid stress by increasing the production of oxidants or metabolic acids, such aslactic acid. Conversely, regular exercise of moderate low impact intensity appears to reduce oxidative or acid stress through an adaptive process that increases antioxidant or alkaline buffer activity.
The study followed 48 sedentary postmenopausal women (21 on HRT and 27 not on HRT) through an exercise program consisting of three supervised sessions of low impact aerobic exercise per week for 24 weeks. Participants were between 50 and 75 years of age
and were postmenopausal for at least two years.
"No one is too old to begin an exercise program, but it is imperative to consult your physician before taking part in any exercise program. It is important to start off slow and build your program to your comfort level. Exercising is not difficult. You just have to want to do it," Brown added.
According to Dr. Robert O. Young, a research scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center, states, "if you want to be healthy and fit you must 'alkalize and exercise' everyday."
Dr. Young suggest daily low impact exercising for at least ten minutes on the VibrapHirm or 15 minutes on the rebounder or 1 hour on the Life Fitness elliptical machine. You could also ride a bike, swim or jog for 1 hour 5 to 6 days a week.
"I lover to jog for 7 to 8 miles a day, vibrate on the whole body vibrational machine everyday and then lift weights using the static attraction method 2 to 3 days a week," states Dr. Young.
Dr. Young further states, "I feel like a teenager and I have the blood, health and fitness to prove it. The pH Miracle Living Plan really works for me and is working for thousands around the world."

(NaturalNews) In addition to its many health benefits, rebounding has one thing that sets it apart from all other exercises. It is the only one that
strengthens, cleanses, and tones every cell in the body.
Other forms of exercise only strengthen bones, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Rebounder exercise has the advantage of promoting whole-body wellness.
Rebounding tones the body's internal organs, veins, and arteries, as well as every muscle and every bone all at the same time.
There are four basic types of bounces that can be done to get the most out of this fun and easy exercise. They are the health bounce, the strength bounce,
the aerobic bounce, and the sitting bounce. Stabilizing bars are available for those unsure of their balance, and can be used with any of these bounces
until balance improves.
The health bounce is a very gentle bounce where the feet are shoulder-width apart and do not leave the mat. This bounce can be used for a few minutes
several times a day to fully flush the lymphatic system and boost the immune system. It can also be used as a warm-up and cool-down bounce for any
rebounding routine.
The strength bounce involves jumping up into the air as high as possible. This promotes the greatest strength gains because the cells are under the highest
amount of gravitational pull. Simply put, strength is achieved by becoming more efficient at opposing gravity.
The aerobic bounce involves any kind of aerobic movement. Jogging, running, and sprinting in place, jumping jacks, and simple bouncing are all fine
options. Because rebounding is low impact and nourishing to cells, joints are actually protected
and strengthened. More calories are also burned because rebounding is much more efficient than normal exercises.
The sitting bounce serves two purposes. First, one can use the sitting bounce to target the abdominal muscles. It is done by sitting on the mat, leaning
back, and lifting the legs in the air. Bouncing is then done while keeping the legs off the floor. This bounce significantly strengthens the abs, back and
legs.
Second, the sitting bounce is an excellent health exercise for disabled individuals that are not
strong enough to stand on the rebounder. Sitting on the mat and lightly bouncing is enough to flush the lymphatic system, boost the immune system, increase
circulation, and oxygenate the entire body. Alternatively, a person can still benefit from placing their
legs on the rebounder and having someone else bounce up and down.
Incorporating all of these bounces into a daily rebounder exercise routine will give every cell in the body a thorough workout. As a warning, only use a
high-quality rebounder. Inexpensive or worn-out units can put undue stress on the body. Also, individuals new to rebounding should start out slowly to give
the body proper time to adjust.
Since rebounding is so simple and fun, it is easy to stick with and almost everyone can do it. Yet it is incredibly powerful and provides the body with
many significant health benefits that regular exercise cannot accomplish.

(NaturalNews) Lyme disease has been controversial for some years. Many medical practitioners misdiagnose it, while several think that it's mental. With
Lyme disease, there are so many symptoms, so many debilitating, agonizing manifestations, that it's often misdiagnosed as multiple sclerosis, chronic
fatigue, lupus or a mental issue.
Lyme disease is caused by a spirochetal bacteria of the
genus. Spirochetes are composed of about 40% DNA and have double-membrane envelopes that make them difficult to trace and kill. They're apparently able to
hide in deep tissue and change shapes to disguise their identities.
They're somewhat similar to the bacteria behind syphilis, as Lyme disease affects the nervous system and brain also.
Going through the medical system with Lyme disease is like being a ball in an old fashioned pinball game machine. Being on Antibiotics forever is risking
serious adverse events or
reducing one's immunity to invite all sorts of other complications.
All this without a complete cure. But now there is considerable hope with cannabis.
