Is the ash acidic or alkaline and why it matters.
People who sit down to a daily breakfast of eggs, not only pollute their blood with over 58,000 biological transformations or bacteria per egg, which also activates an immediate immune response, but will have an increased risk of developing the acidic condition of diabetes.
In a long-term study of 57,000 U.S. adults, researchers found that those who ate a filthy dirty acidic egg a day were 58 percent to 77 percent more likely than non-egg-eaters to develop type 2 diabetes.
The findings, published in the journal Diabetes Care, do not necessarily mean that eggs themselves put people on a path to diabetes, according to the researchers. But they do suggest it is wise to limit your egg intake.
"Based on the current data, our recommendations would be to consume eggs in moderation and not to exceed six eggs per week," lead researcher Dr. Luc Djousse, of Harvard Medical School in Boston, told Reuters Health.
According to Dr. Robert O. Young, Director of Research at the pH Miracle Living Center in San Diego, California, "eggs are not for eating. Eggs are for the reproduction of the species. When you eat an egg you seriously pollute the blood with thousands of biological transformations, medical Science calls bacteria and yeast. Eggs are on my top ten list of acidic foods never to eat. The others include animal protein such as chicken, turkey, duck, pork, beef, and then all forms of dairy, vinegar, fermented soy such as soy sauce or miso, corn and all related corn products, such as corn syrup, peanuts or peanut oil, mushrooms of all kinds, alcohol, coffee and tea, and finally all forms of sugar."
The study does not explain exactly why eggs are linked to diabetes, but cholesterol may play a role. The study participants' daily cholesterol intake was also related to diabetes risk, and when the researchers factored this in, the relationship between egg intake and diabetes weakened.
"Cholesterol is not the problem with eggs or the cholesterol made by the body. Cholesterol helps to bind up acids and protects the alkaline design of the body. The problem with eggs are that they are highly acidic and full of biological transformations (bacteria and yeast) that pollute the fluids of the body. This activates the white blood cells to clean up the bloody (pun intended) mess. Bottom line eggs are a filthy, dirty thing to eat and were NEVER meant for human consumption," states Dr. Young.
In animal studies, high saturated and/or trans fat diets have been shown to raise levels of blood Sugar and the sugar-regulating hormone insulin -- suggesting a way that an acidic diet might promote diabetes.
"The acid from eggs breaks down body cells, including the red blood cells and thus increases blood sugar. Sugar is a breakdown product or acid from the degeneration of any body cell. This is why blood sugars go up. The body is breaking down just like when a banana ripens. It gets sweeter as it spoils or degenerates. Once we get it into our heads that Sugar is an acid from rotting matter, including body matter than maybe we will stop eating foods and drinking liquids that are acidic or full of sugar. This is the true cause of diabetes," states Dr. Young.
According to Djousse, it's important for people at risk of type 2 diabetes -- due to factors like family history and obesity -- to pay attention to their overall cholesterol intake, and not just cholesterol from eggs.
"In the prevention of diabetes or in its reversal you just have to stop making acidic lifestyle and dietary choices. It is acidic choice that causes diabetes and eating eggs is one of those acidic choices that leads to diabetes," states Dr. Young.
Even more important, he noted, is a focus on overall health -- maintaining a normal weight, exercising regularly and eating a well-balanced diet -- rather than any one food or nutrient.
"Preventing or reversing diabetes is as simple as making better choices and choices must be alkalizing."

(NaturalNews) How many times have you heard to eat fruits and vegetables? Well, there is a good reason to start as fruits and vegetables are at the top of
the healthy foods list. Mother Nature has packed them with hundreds of different nutrients designed to keep our bodies in top working order. Nearly all
fruits and vegetables help counteract excessive amounts of acid in the body which is another benefit.
Too much acid, or acidosis, is a condition marked by high levels of acid in the body. With symptoms ranging from fatigue, aches and pains, acidosis can be
very disruptive to daily life. In spite of that, however, (it is seldom diagnosed) or even mentioned in mainstream medicine.
The health issues of Acidosis are complicated and stem from the fact that the body`s pH (potential of hydrogen) is out of balance, and proper pH balance is
vital for good health. Ideally, the body`s pH should be 7.43. A lower pH is a sign of too much acid, or acidosis. A pH above 8.5 indicates excessive
alkalinity, or alkalosis.
Myriad health problems are linked to both acidosis and alkalosis. But acidosis is especially problematic because it interferes with healthy cell functions
throughout the body. One example is the production of white blood cells, essential for a strong immune system. Poor quality white blood cells are produced
in an acidic environment, making it easy for infections. Fortunately, restoring a proper pH balance boosts the immune system and benefits the entire body.
A diet high in acid-producing
causes acidosis. Not surprisingly, the Standard American Diet (SAD) is loaded with acidic foods, including meat, dairy products and grains and cereals -
anything containing sugar, eggs, legumes, coffee, tea, wine, fish and fowl. Their acidic content needs to be balanced with alkaline foods.
Sugary foods are a special concern. Soft drinks, for instance, which contain as much as 12 teaspoons of Sugar in the typical 16-ounce can, are highly
acidic. To neutralize all that
, the body takes alkaline substances, like the mineral calcium, and moves it from the bones into the bloodstream. Acidity is lowered, but the bones are
being deprived of the calcium they need to remain strong and healthy.
If you`re concerned about acidosis, it`s easy to determine your own pH levels. The simple test involves using litmus paper that tests the saliva and urine;
then check the second urine of the day.
If the test reveals 6.5 or less, then acidosis is a problem. The best way to change that is with dietary improvements designed to make the body more
alkaline. That translates into eating more vegetables. An acid-reducing diet should consist of 80 percent alkalizing foods and 20 percent acid-forming
foods.
Some fruits and almost all vegetables are alkalizing. So eat your vegetables or begin to take a multi
supplement that focuses on alkalinity. Tomatoes and citrus actually have an alkalinizing effect when consumed. So enjoy lemons, tomatoes and related foods
without worrying about contributing to acid levels.
After a week or so on the acid-reducing diet, retest your urine to see if the pH level is higher to your goal level of 7.43. Maintain your alkalinity

Acidosis starts as the accumulation of acids in the lymph system.

The Key to Vibrant Health
Every year, millions of North Americans make New Year’s resolutions to live better and healthier lives. Many of them, because they are lacking the basic information and support to achieve their goals, ultimately surrender and give up. In other words, give your body what it needs; healthy water, clean air, good food, proper supplementation, moderate exercise and sufficient rest. The main benefit of following those simple rules is a normal Acid/Alkaline balance within your body. When this equilibrium is maintained, most diseases cannot exist.
The human body requires specific chemical processes to work efficiently and properly in order to stay healthy and ward off disease. These reactions will only operate within a limited pH (potential of hydrogen) range. pH is a scale or balance system that measures the alkalinity or acidity of a solution. It is measured on a scale of 0 to 14; the lower the pH the more acidic the solution, the higher the pH the more alkaline (or base) the solution. When a solution is neither acid nor alkaline it has a pH of 7.0 which is neutral.
The body has an acid/alkaline (or acid/base) balance between positively charged ions (acid forming) and negatively charged ions (alkaline forming) and continually strives to balance pH. When this balance is compromised, many negative health issues occur. It is important to understand that we are not talking about the pH of stomach acid, urine or saliva. We are talking about the pH of the body’s tissues and the vital fluids they bathe in, which is an entirely different matter. The body attempts to maintain a pH of 7.4 in critical body fluids, and as such it must be mildly alkaline. If it is not mildly alkaline, it cannot use oxygen efficiently and if it is unable to use the oxygen effectively, among other problems, it produces free oxygen radicals.
How critical is this balance in the blood? The pH of the blood must remain between 7.35 and 7.45 for the body to remain healthy. At a blood pH of 7.2 and below a person will soon become extremely sick and die. That is pretty critical.
The alkaline side of the pH scale is called aerobic metabolism, where oxygen burns glucose to create energy. Without getting technical, oxygen and Sugar combine to produce energy. This process is called oxidative respiration. It is important to remember that oxygen does not make the environment alkaline; oxygen is the currency, the substance that is used in an alkaline environment to keep you alive. But there are substances that keep you alkaline called buffers. There are two types of buffers:
• Extra-cellular
fluids which are
found outside of the
cell and are
• Intra-cellular fluids found
inside of the cell which
contain minerals such
as calcium, magnesium,
potassium, sodium, chloride
and phosphate. These are
the buffers that the body
uses primarily to maintain
alkalinity.
We have all heard of these minerals, but the body does not produce them so you must first bring them into your system. The ease with which the body can ionize minerals is an important factor in alkalizing. We are simply not able to eat minerals in their natural state, thus, if you try to eat rocks or bones, you impose a tremendous burden on the body’s ability to ionize and use them. Therefore, we need to use organic forms of minerals; basically minerals from plants and animals that are already processed and easily ionized so that the body can use them.
On the other side of the pH scale is the anaerobic metabolism (without oxygen). These chemical reactions use a sort of secondary fail-safe system commonly known as fermentation. This process is not very efficient because the cells have to use much more fuel to make energy. To produce an equal amount of energy, the body needs a minimum of 18 times more fuel. (sugar) This explains an increased craving for Sugar when there is high acidity of bodily fluids, if you were more alkaline you would not have that need for sugar. Lack of efficiency and oxygen brings decay and death while oxygen brings life. Too much acid, known as acidosis, is considered by many professionals in the healthcare industry to be the root cause of most illnesses.
The byproducts of fermentation, one of which is lactic acid, damages cell membranes, causes pain and helps to stimulate inflammatory disorders. As such, the body tries to get rid of them. It should be noted that anaerobes including cancer cells, yeast, fungi, mold, bacteria, worms and other parasites thrive in an acidic environments lacking oxygen. And since anaerobes flourish in people with acidic systems, it is fair to conclude that many chronic illnesses are the result of this condition. In fact, yeast, fungi, mold, bacteria, worms and other parasites are the leading causes of most chronic ailments. So taking care of your inner terrain and keeping your body healthy is the best way to avoid them since these vermin cannot survive in an alkaline environment.
Fungal overgrowth in the body begins with an anaerobic metabolism and this serious condition is known to be associated with Chronic Fatigue, Diabetes, Heart disease, Cancer, Fibromyalgia and many more persistent diseases. The fungal overgrowth also eats up the body’s fuel supply through fermentation causing general fatigue associated
with all of these diseases, as well as throwing the body’s acid/alkaline balance even further out of whack.
Cancer is also an anaerobe, in fact, Nobel Prize winner Dr Worburg demonstrated that if you put cancer cells in an alkaline solution they die within a short period of time because alkaline solutions contain oxygen and oxygen is toxic to cancer cells. Unfortunately, just killing cancer cells is rather like swatting mosquitoes in order to get rid of a stagnant pond. It simply isn’t going to help; you have to clean up the pond up to finally get rid of the mosquitoes. So to cure disease, we have to correct the acidic environment of the body; not go after the parasites that are associated with an acidic pH.
Every vital system in the body that undertakes regulatory processes, such as hormone production, breathing, circulation and digestion; work to ensure that the body maintains the correct pH balance. If there is undo strain on the organs trying to preserve this equilibrium it will show up as different chronic diseases. On the other hand, healthy tissues are always alkaline and oxygenated. By increasing your body’s alkalinity, you also increase the oxygen levels in all your organs and tissues. If you keep a healthy pH balance you will stop the beginning or growth of diseased cells by starving them to death since their only source of energy is from fermentation.
Acid/Alkaline Imbalance
When the body is too acidic, it needs to borrow minerals such as calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium from the vital organs and bones in order to neutralize the acid and safely remove it from the body. So if you are deficient in the minerals required to maintain a proper Acid/Alkaline balance some very bad things start to happen to your body:
• Minerals are robbed from your
saliva because saliva is a noncritical
body fluid and as such
a change in the pH of your
saliva will not cause your body
to die.
• It robs minerals from the
muscles which is why you
get muscle cramps, twitches,
Charlie-horses, leg shakes,
night shakes, eye twitching and
many other physical disorders
associated with electrolyte or
mineral deficiency.
• It robs minerals such as
calcium phosphate and calcium
carbonate from the bone, teeth
and other organs. The body needs
these minerals for pH regulation. So
where does it send these minerals in
order to ionize them? To the kidney,
since the kidney is where acidic
and alkaline levels of the body are
maintained (using carbon dioxide and
bicarbonate), hoping that the acidity
of the compounds will ionize the
minerals so that they can be used for
the important role of maintaining pH.
Calcium is the most abundant mineral
in the body and has the most rapid
turnover in pH maintenance.
Besides many serious health problems, individuals who are mineral deficient are at risk of developing kidney stones, gall stones, bone spurs, calcium deposits, tendon and ligament tears, muscle strains and sprains and muscle scar tissue. The sequence of problems begins to escalate, but usually starts with low back pain and large muscle cramping. For example, finger twitching can occur when writing because the arm is resting on a nerve and there are electrolyte deficiencies in the body. So, you need to consume healthy forms of supplements such as ionic or organically bound minerals in your diet.
Mineral absorption in the stomach needs an acid environment for digestion and in their elemental (rock) state, minerals are normally only 8% to 40% biologically available to humans. In people 35 or older the availability of minerals drops to 3% to 5%. People over 60 years old produce only 25% of the stomach acid they produced when they were 20 years old. The digestive system in older people does not produce enough digestive acid to put calcium, magnesium and potassium into ionic suspension.
So, when you take a pill that has minerals in it; one that is proposed to contain 1000 mg of calcium, it comes from substances such as bones, rocks and shells. That form of mineral does not provide the best source of nutrition and places an extra burden on your system. But if you eat a piece of steak or chicken that contains 1000 mg of calcium, you will be getting your calcium, magnesium and potassium in your food. The same is true for supplements that contain organic mineral forms or water that has coral calcium in it that is naturally ionized and readily absorbable by the body.
For example, some coral calcium contains readily ionized minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium and is absorbed and used immediately by the body.
If you are craving carbohydrates and having muscle aches, muscle cramps, twitches, low back pains and headaches, you are probably acidic. This inevitably leads to yeast problems as well as infestations of worms and other parasites which are also indicative of acidosis.
All animal life thrives in a healthy alkaline pH, where oxygen can be efficiently utilized to burn Sugar and make energy. If oxygen can not be utilized (low pH) the body produces a lot of free oxygen radicals. To stay healthy you have to be slightly alkaline. Does that mean eating alkaline foods? No, it means eating foods that once digested will supply the minerals necessary to preserve a healthy pH balance. (Look at our food combining and acid/alkaline food charts.) You need to have the proper minerals in your food, water and supplementation, because they help to provide the resources needed to maintain an healthy alkaline pH.
pH and Coral Calcium
16th-century Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon had it all wrong. The fountain of youth isn’t in Florida, where he went searching for it. The nearest thing to a real-life refuge from the ravages of old age and death is the Japanese island of Okinawa in the East China Sea.
The Japanese live longer than anyone else on the planet and those who live in Okinawa live longer than anyone else in Japan. There are close to 500 Okinawans who are at least 100 years old. That is 35 centenarians for every 100,000 islanders; the highest ratio in the world. North America has about 10 centenarians for every 100,000 people. Life expectancy is 86 years on Okinawa, also the highest in the world.
The Guinness Book of Records lists Shigechiyo Isumi of Okinawa as the oldest, documented, man who ever lived. He lived to nearly 121 years and worked till the age of 105 with remarkably good health and vitality. Probing further, the investigating journalist discovered Mr. Isumi was not the exception. Most of the island’s inhabitants were physically fit, had low incidence of serious illness and enjoyed long life spans. All the islanders had one thing in common. They ate healthy (At least till McDonalds showed up.) and the water they drank was different from water found anywhere else in the world.
These particular islands are built up from the coral reefs like so many other islands. But there is a difference. The reefs are coral, composed of calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, essential trace minerals and many other microscopic elements essential to human life. The composition of the coral is unique in its similarity to human bone and it is actually used for bone grafts. Orthopedic surgeons use this coral for bone grafts because the body can readily accept it as part of its own natural structure. Which, when you think about it, is amazing.
Coral minerals maintain a high bioavailability because they are in the smallest form possible. Ionized minerals are 1000 times smaller than colloidal minerals. While the calcium content of coral is important, the trace minerals are just as significant. Coral minerals are capable of replenishing the body with proper amounts of naturally occurring trace minerals to fulfill specific mineral deficiencies. When the overall mineral content of the body is raised, the body is able to easily return to a natural alkaline pH state. Most minerals are difficult for the body to absorb. That is not the case with naturallyoccurring
coral minerals since they are organically formed, having been pre-digested by animals. These minerals become ionic in water and are promptly absorbable to the cells.
If the body becomes too acidic, it will take calcium from wherever it can in order to retain a slightly alkaline blood pH. In order to supply enough calcium for this buffering, we need sufficient calcium in the diet; otherwise the body will simply take it from the bones, teeth and vital organs. Be aware, though, that not all forms of supplemental calcium are the same. Most of the calcium we consume in tablet form is feeding the sewer systems of North America and not adequately satisfying our body’s critical need for calcium.
pH and Water
It should be obvious why we at The Wolfe Clinic stress the importance of consuming chemical free, clean, restructured and alkalizing water. When your body is properly hydrated, all health programs become more powerful, more efficient and work faster. And, for those who simply want to maintain their good health, drinking clean restructured water is just as essential to maintaining strength, weight, fitness and vital wellbeing. Water is critical to any health program and the right water is even more critical. For instance, distilled (dead) water leaches minerals from the body. This can become a serious pH health issue for anyone who is already mineral deficient.
So, no matter what your specific health, weight or fitness goal is, you cannot achieve the maximum benefit without drinking the right kind of water in the proper amount. Your body is 70% water, so it follows that the most important compound you put into your body is water. All experts agree, that next to the air we breathe, water is the most essential thing we will ever put in our bodies and is fundamental to maintaining vital health.
The hydration rate of water is the amount of water that is absorbed by individual cells. Higher rates of hydration mean much superior and faster metabolic processes are occurring within the cell, making it better able to flush toxins and move nutrients and essential minerals to where they are needed. The structure of the water molecule is significant in this process. Therefore, it is imperative to know the hydration rates of different types of water.
Distilled and reverse osmosis water is lifeless and worthless with a hydration rate of only 10%, the Wellness Filter has a hydration rate of over 60% and the Water Vitalizer Plus has an exceptionally rapid hydration rate of over 80%. Diet, Food Combining and pH
The reason for proper food combining is to simply make digestion easier and more efficient! Your body absorbs its own toxic wastes before they can be eliminated and it doesn’t receive the vital nutrients it requires to keep a healthy pH level.
When you try to do two things at once the tasks are usually rushed and incomplete. This also applies to your digestive process. If you combine the wrong foods together in a single meal, your body is required to process incompatible food substances at the same time. This results in “incomplete digestion”, discomfort and putrefaction. Eating your meals as if they were a smorgasbord leads only to poor health and chronic illness.
Food breaks down in the body with the aid of enzymes or bacteria. Enzyme and Probiotic breakdown is the natural course. Bad bacterial breakdown creates toxic gases which manifest in the body as bloating, burping, flatulence, Candida, fatigue, headaches, constipation, diarrhea, low back pain and so on. If you are going to eat more than one food during a meal: you can greatly improve digestion (and avoid indigestion) by eating foods that are compatible. This is what food combining is all about.
Improper food combining leads to many health problems that can upset the body’s pH balance. If your diet consists of typical North American foods that are high in starch, fat and sugar, your pH will be tend to be way on the acidic side. German researchers put otherwise healthy adults on a typical fast-food diet. They found, not to anyone’s great surprise, that there were increases in calcium and magnesium loss in the urine. What was really amazing was that they found significant increases in the stress hormone, cortisol. Elevated levels of cortisol are associated with inflammation, oxidative stress, increased propensity to develop abdominal fat, cardiovascular disease and mood alterations such as depression.
So what happens to our health when we eat this crap? In order to neutralize the acid that’s being formed in the bloodstream, the body sets off an alarm saying, “I need buffers or I will die.” Bicarbonate, potassium, magnesium and calcium act as buffers and the largest reservoir of these buffering agents is our bones. So the body takes what is in storage there to help neutralize the blood so it can survive the day.
The food combining classification does not necessarily indicate how a particular food will affect the body’s acid/alkaline balance. It is central, though, in learning how to avoid key aspect for you to remain healthy. The body needs to have the complete arsenal of resources, especially the most abundant ones in our environment. Calcium is an extremely plentiful mineral and is probably the most abundant mineral in the body. It’s required for the body to support itself on an ongoing basis and to detoxify its cells. When your body is overwhelmed by toxins, some of the poisons disturb the natural use of oxygen. This is another factor that promotes acidosis. pH and Far Infrared Heat
One of the best ways to help your body to maintain a healthy acid/alkaline balance is through the use of a Far Infrared Sauna . As stated above, toxins hinder oxygen usage and force the body into an unhealthy acidic state. Testing Your Body’s Acidity or Alkalinity:

By using pH test strips, you can determine your pH factor quickly and easily in the privacy of your own home. If your urinary pH fluctuates between 6.0 to 6.5 in the morning and between 6.5 and 7.0 in the evening, your body is functioning within a healthy range. Acids leave the body through the urine, so it should be slightly acidic. If
your saliva stays between 6.5 and 7.5 all day, your body is functioning within a healthy range. The best time to test your pH is about one hour before a meal and two hours after a meal. Test your pH two days a week.
This will give you a good indication of your overall health but it must be clearly understood that when you test urine or saliva pH, it is not telling you what the pH of the body is. What it is telling you, though, is the overall burden that the body is imposing on non-critical fluids for buffers to keep blood at a healthy pH of 7.4
Once again, a fit body and sound mind are your most important assets and a healthy lifestyle is the only way to attain and sustain that goal. We all know that multiple trips to the acidic buffet for fatty acidic fried foods and sugary acidic deserts will pile on the pounds of protection. But no matter how carefully you watch your diet, stealth saboteurs may be making it difficult for you to shed extra pounds of acids. Several of the most common diet saboteurs you may not suspect -- and how to counteract them -- are:
1. Lack of Sleep. Recent research has shown that a
lack of sleep stresses your body physiologically and
causes the body to store the acids into fat more.
Counteract by getting eight hours of restful sleep
each night.
2. Stress. Stress throws the body into survival mode
where metabolism slows and the body stores fuel. In
addition, it dumps metabolic acids into your system,
such as cortisol and other hormones, which tend to
cause weight gain in the abdomen. Fight stress by
exercising, deep breathing and relaxation techniques.
3. Medications. Many prescription drugs are acidic,
including some used to treat depression, migraine,
blood pressure, and diabetes can cause weight gains

medications, such as steroids and oral contraceptives,
can also cause weight gain as the body uses fat as
a buffer for acidic drugs. If you've had weight gain
with no change in lifestyle, check your medication

4. Lack of Alkaline Hydration. The body needs water
and the right kind of water to flush acidic waste
products from diet and metabolism. If the body
is not receiving adequate alkaline hydration acids
cannot be eliminated and are therefore stored into
the fatty acids. The body will also retain fat from
the diet to store excess acids from lifestyle and
diet not being eliminated because of a lack of
Alkaline Water consumption. You may want to
consider increasing your Alkaline Water consumption
to 1 liter per 30 pounds of weight to begin
detoxing the body of excess acidity.

The Erroneous Johns Hopkins Hospital 'Cancer Update' Article
The following "cancer update" article of mis-information on cancer has been circulating around the internet for about a year. The claim is that the article originated from Johns Hopkins Hospital as an update for how cancer spreads and the recommended methods for treatment.
According to Snopes the article did not originate from Johns Hopkins Hospital and they also deny the authorship of the following article of March 2007.

As a matter of scientific interest and to correct many of the myths surrounding cancer I have decided to comment after each statement in the erroneous Johns Hopkins Hospital article.
"CANCER UPDATE"
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
Dr. Robert O. Young states,
"There is no such thing as a cancer cell. Cancer is not a cell but an acidic dietary and/or metabolic acid that poisons or ferments body cells. Just like a rotten apple in a bushel of healthy apples, the rotten spoiling apple is eluding acid that will spoil all the rest of the healthy apples. We do not say that the apple or apples have cancer, we say the apples are spoiling or rotting. Cancer is not a noun it is an adjective. We do not have cancer cells or cancer in our body we have acids that spoil healthy cells causing cancerous cells and a cancerous condition. When this happens we have cancerous or spoiling cells which describes the reality of what is happening to the body cell(s) in a cancerous or fermenting state. Also, one can test the levels of urine acidity daily which will give an indication of the levels of tissue acidity. Normal healthy urine pH should read at least 7.2 or above. You can also see the effects of tissue acidity that leads to a cancerous state by viewing how the blood coagulates. If the blood is in a hypo-coagulated state this indicates latent tissue acidosis and a marker for a cancerous or degenerative tissue state. This simple blood test can be done as an early warning to any cancerous state in any part of the body for the purposes of screening and prevention."
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.
Dr. Young states:
"All of us have cancerous or acidic body cells from conception to death to a lesser or greater degree depending upon lifestyle and dietary choices. The body is constantly trying to maintain its alkaline design while dealing with its many acidic functions. The body requires energy to run and the consumption of energy produces dietary and metabolic acidic waste products. If these dietary and metabolic acidic waste products are not eliminated through urination,
perspiration, defecation or respiration they are then eliminated into the body tissues, such as the connective tissues, muscles and bones. These dietary and/or metabolic acids that are not properly eliminated can then spoil body cells leading to an acidic or cancerous state I call latent tissue acidosis."
3. When a persons immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.
Dr. Young states:
"First, the immune system or the white blood cells do not destroy cancerous cells. They do not even pick up cancerous cells. White blood cells are the janitors of blood traveling through the body fluids picking upsmaller insignificant cellular debris from the food we eat. Second, cancerous cells do not multiply. This is another scientific misconception based upon the premise that cancer is a cell. Cancer is not a cell it is an acidic poisonous liquid flowing through our body fluids. Dietary and metabolic acids spoil body cells and then as one cell begins to spoil their acids can spoil other cells. This phenomenon is a what I call the "domino effect". Metastasis of cancerous cells is the expression of the "domino effect" of acids from one spoiling cell spoiling another cell and so on. This causes the body to go into the preservation mode by forming fibrin monomers to encapsulate the spoiling cells together in order to protect the surrounding healthy tissue. Medical savants call these formations tumors. Tumors are fibrous encapsulations of rotten spoiled cells and their associated acidic waste products."
"A tumor is the body's way of stopping systemic spoiling and localizing the spoiling to a specific localized area. Tumors are not the cancer but the encapsulation of acidic spoiling cancerous cells. The tumor is the body's solution to systemic spoiling of unhealthy body
cells and tissues due to an inverted way of living, eating and thinking and NOT the perceived cause of the cancerous state by current medical savants."
4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, nvironmental, food and lifestyle factors.
Dr. Young states:
"People do not have cancer they are in a cancerous state to a lesser or greater degree depending on lifestyle and dietary choices. When you live, think and eat acidic you pollute your internal environmental fluids causing latent tissue acidosis that can lead to cancerous or spoiling tissues."
"Genetics only plays out in a cancerous state as an inherited physiological weakness where acids may settle. One is only predisposed to a cancerous state if they are making acidic lifestyle and dietary choices."
5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.
Dr. Young states:
"To overcome a cancerous state one needs to reestablish the alkaline design of the body and better manage the acidic loads from lifestyle, diet and metabolism. I have suggested for years a healthy body cannot get sick in an alkaline state. All sickness and disease is caused by over-acidic lifestyle and dietary choices. You do not get a cancerous condition you do a cancerous condition. A cancerous condition is the expression of poor lifestyle and dietary choices."
6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
Dr. Young states:
"All chemotherapy treatments are acidic. Acidic treatments of chemical therapy only contribute to an already acidic state. The key to health, energy, vitality and fitness of the body is not with the body cells but with the alkaline environment in which the body cells reside. Destroying cancerous cells with drugs does not address the real foundational problem of what causes a cancerous condition. The true cause of any cancerous state is the level of acidic dietary and metabolic poisons in the fluids of the body. That is why ALL treatments focused on the cancerous cells and tissues will eventually fail with the death of the body. You do not fight fire with the acid of kerosene just as you would not fight a cancerous condition with acidic drugs and/or treatments."
7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.
Dr. Young states:
"Radiation does breakdown cancerous cells which pollutes the internal alkaline environment causing systemic pollution and stress on the white blood cells and elimination and filter organs, including the lungs, liver, skin, kidney and bowels. The key is not to destroy tumors with radiation but to saturate the tissues with alkalinity. When this happens the tumor will finish its job of encapsulating spoiled or fermenting cancerous cells, crystallize, harden and then breakdown to eventually eliminated. This is the normal healthy life cycle of a tumor in the body."
8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.
Dr. Young states:
"Chemotherapy and radiation treatment is focused on the wrong thing - the cells of the body and not the acidic fluids of the body. The problem is not the tumor or cancerous cells. The tumor is the solution to the problem to prevent systemic cellular poisoning or spoiling from dietary and/or metabolic acid. So what is the real problem? The real problem is systemic acidosis from personal lifestyle and dietary choice that localizes at the weakness parts of the body tissues."
9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.
Dr. Young states:
"True immunity comes from maintaining the alkaline design of the body fluids at 7.365 to 7.4. The white blood cells play only a supportive role in maintaining cleanliness of the body fluids. It is true that chemotherapy drugs and radiation can suppress the white blood cells from cleaning up cellular debris. The build up of cellular debris will cause an increase of acidity contributing to an already acidic state. A person in an acidic state or latent tissue acidosis will
eventually succumb from the outfections of acids from spoiling cellular debris/matter and cancerous spoiling body cells."
10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.
Dr. Young states:
"I will state again that there is no such thing as a cancer cell. Body cells do not mutate they spoil. All body cells transform to bacteria, yeast and then mold in an acidic environment. Acids spread systemically spoiling body cells. Cancerous cells only spoil other cells from their acidic transformations and wastes! Chemotherapy and radiation are acidic treatments that spoil healthy and unhealthy body cells. Surgery removes acidic cancerous cells but disturbs the healthy surrounding tissue. This can cause further acidic complications in and around the surrounding healthy tissue."
11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
Dr. Young states:
"Cancer cells do not multiply! Cancerous cells are body cells that are fermenting, rotting and spoiling other cells. You cannot starve cancerous cells. Body cells are made up of intelligent matter which cannot be destroyed - they can only be changed. The key to a cancerous condition in the body is to hyper-alkalize the blood which will then force alkalinity into the acidic tissues and thus buffering the tissue acidity that leads to a cancerous state."
CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
Dr. Young states:
"Once again we have cancerous cells not cancer cells. Cancerous cells are not different from healthy cells - they both feed on electrical energy - electrons. Antione BeChamp once said, "everything is the prey of life, nothing is the prey of death." Matter cannot be created nor can it be destroyed it can only change its form and its function."
12. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off Sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or Sea Salt .
Dr. Young states:
"All sugars, including manuka honey and molasses are acid forming and can cause cancerous body cells. All sugars are acidic waste products from fermenting matter. Braggs aminos is also acidic and should not be ingested when in a cancerous state. Sea Salt is alkalizing and should be included in any plan to prevent or reverse a cancerous condition. Sea Salt is also foundational in helping the body create the alkaline buffer of sodium bicarbonate."
13. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.
Dr. Young states:
"Mucous is formed by the body as a protection to healthy body cells to buffer dietary and/or metabolic acids. Milk is highly acidic and contains a cancerous causing acid called lactose that breaks down to a primary metabolite called lactic acid. Lactic acid is one of the major
cancerous causing acids next to nitric and uric acid from animal proteins. Cancerous cells do not feed on mucus they feed on electrons robbing the body of energy. Mucus is the end product of the body buffering dietary and/or metabolic acids with sodium bicarbonate. Soy milk is also acidic and should not be used unless it is freshly squeezed."
14. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock Antibiotics , growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
Dr. Young states:
"Cancerous cells are fermenting body cells and do not thrive in an acidic state but are the result of an acidic state. Cancerous cells will continue to breakdown or transform in an acidic environment. All animal proteins including fish are highly acidic and should not be ingested when one is in a highly acidic cancerous state. The body cannot adequately remove the dietary acids of uric, nitric, sulphuric and phosphoric acid from the animal proteins leading to increased acidity and potentially increased cancerous body cells. Antibiotics and hormones are both metabolic acids and can contribute to an
acidic state leading to a cancerous condition."
15. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F
(40 degrees C).
Dr. Young states:
"All enzymes are acids. All acids cause cancerous conditions. The body runs on alkalinity not acidity. Another way to say this is the body runs on electrons not protons or hydrogen ions. When you are dealing with a serious cancerous condition one needs to reestablish
the alkaline design of the body. You can only do this with a 100% alkaline lifestyle and diet! I call this the alkaline plan the COWS program. The COWS program is the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Dietary Plan of alkaline foods, drinks and lifestyle choices. This would include the four food groups of:
1) Chlorophyll
2) Oil
3) Water
4) Salt

16. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
Dr. Young states:
"Coffee, black tea, green tea, chocolate are all acidic and do not support the alkaline design of the body. Alkaline Water at a pH of 9.5 or above is the best water to drink. Distilled water with sodium chloride or chlorite will increase the alkalinity of the body fluids and buffer excess dietary and metabolic acid."
17. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.
Dr. Young states:
"All meat is acidic, all digestive enzymes are acidic and should not be ingested. To support the alkaline design of the body you need to increase your consumption of alkaline food, water and supplements. Daily deep breathing, mediation and exercise are also necessary for maintaining the alkaline design of the body."
18. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the
cancer cells.
Dr. Young states:
"Cancerous cells have a calcified covering from all the acidity. The body uses calcium ions to buffer endogenous acidity from without and within the body cell. Enzymes are acids that negative effect every cell in the body. Enzymes do not attack cancerous cells they spoil
body cells leading to more cancerous cells. The calcification of the body cell is a means of protection against dietary and/or metabolic acidity."
19. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other
supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
Dr. Young states:
"One of the most naturally occurring alkalizing compounds produced by the body is sodium bicarbonate. I have suggested using increased amounts of sodium bicarbonate for years to neutralize the dietary and metabolic acids that make us sick, depressed and tired. Its inexpensive, safe, effective and easy to get. I also suggest liberal amounts of mono and polyunsaturated fats to buffer increased amounts of dietary and/or metabolic acids in the prevention of a cancerous state."
20. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic
environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
Dr. Young states:
"A cancerous state is caused by acidic lifestyle and dietary choice. This would include your thoughts, your words and your deeds."
21. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
Dr. Young states:
"Cancerous cells may change in an oxygen rich state of nascent oxygen, atomic oxygen or O1. I agree with daily exercise, deep breathing and oxygen supplementation to help maintain the alkaline design of the body. I also strongly believe that the cure for any cancerous condition can be found in its prevention and not in its treatment!"
Origins of the "Cancer Update":
Just as urban legends and rumors eventually become attached to the most famous exemplars of the subjects they discuss (e.g., any fast food-related legend, no matter where it originates, will inevitably be told about McDonald's), so do many of the spurious medical articles circulated on the Internet eventually become attributed to the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University, medical school, and hospitals.
The "Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins Hospital" quoted above has been forwarded via e-mail as a preface to another piece (about the supposed dangers of using microwave ovens to heat food stored in plastic containers) also falsely said to have originated with Johns Hopkins. Neither article was issued by (or has any connection to) the Johns Hopkins university or hospital, and Johns Hopkins has disclaimed the contents of both.
Of the "Cancer Update" e-mail (most of the information contained within which is of the "quack" variety), Johns Hopkins says:
An email falsely attributed to Johns Hopkins describing properties of cancer cells and suggesting prevention strategies has begun circulating the Internet. Johns Hopkins did not publish the email, entitled "Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins," nor do we endorse its contents. Heart specialists at Johns Hopkins and elsewhere report what is believed to be the first wide-scale evidence linking severe overweight to prolonged acidic inflammation of heart tissue and the subsequent damage leading to failure of the body's blood-pumping organ.
The latest findings from the Multiethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA), to be published in the May 6 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, appear to nail down yet one more reason for the estimated 72 million obese American adults to be concerned about their health, say scientists who conducted the research.
"The biological effects of obesity on the heart are quite profound," says senior study investigator João Lima, M.D. "Even if obese people feel otherwise healthy, there are measurable and early chemical signs of damage to their heart, beyond the well-known implications for diabetes and high blood pressure."
He adds that there is "now even more reason for them to lose weight, increase their physical activity and improve their eating habits."
In the latest study, researchers conducted tests and tracked the development of heart failure in an ethnically diverse group of nearly 7,000 men and women, age 45 to 84, who were enrolled in the MESA study, starting in 2000.
Of the 79 who have developed congestive heart failure so far, 35 (44 percent) were physically obese, having a body mass index, or BMI, of 30 or greater. And on average, obese participants were found to have higher blood levels of interleukin 6, C-reactive protein and fibrinogen, key immune system proteins involved in acidic inflammation, than non-obese adults.
A near doubling of average interleukin 6 levels alone accounted for an 84 percent greater risk of developing heart failure in the study population.
The researchers from five universities across the United States also found alarming links between acidic inflammation and the dangerous mix of heart disease risk factors known as the metabolic syndrome. Its combined risk factors for heart disease and diabetes - high blood pressure, elevated blood glucose levels, excess abdominal fat and abnormal cholesterol
levels, and particularly obesity - double a person's chances of developing heart failure.
"More practically, physicians need to monitor their obese patients for early signs of inflammation in the heart and to use this information in determining how aggressively to treat the condition," says Lima, a professor of medicine and radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and its Heart Institute.
"Our results showed that when the effects of other known disease risk factors - including race, age, sex, diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, family history and blood cholesterol levels - were statistically removed from the analysis, inflammatory chemicals in the blood of obese participants stood out as key predictors of who got heart failure," says Lima.
"Both obesity and the inflammatory markers are closely tied to each other and to heart failure," says lead researcher Hossein Bahrami, M.D., M.P.H.
"Each year, nearly 300,000 Americans die from heart failure. The major contributing causative factor is an acidic lifestyle and diet," states Dr. Robert O. Young, a research scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center.
According to Dr. Young, "obesity is the body's way of protecting itself from an over-acidic lifestyle and diet. People who are over-weight are in reality over-acid. The body holds on to fat to park excess dietary and metabolic acids that are not properly being eliminated through urination, perspiration, defecation, and respiration. Fat is protective and not the cause of acidic metabolic syndrome that can lead to heart dis-ease and the presence of alkaline buffers in the blood such as fibrinogen, cholesterol, C-reactive protein and interleukin."
"Obesity is not the problem - dietary and metabolic acids are the cause of acidic metabolic syndrome and the increase in heart attacks. Fat is saving preserving life and acid is destroying the quality and quantity of life. If one wants to prevent or reduce the risk for heart attack or stroke then one must maintain the alkaline design of the body. When this is done the body naturally lets go of the excess protective fat that is holding onto dietary and metabolic acids. This is how you protect the heart and other organs that sustain life," states Dr. Young.

Iced tea contains high concentrations of oxalate and tannic acid, two of the key chemicals that lead to the formation of brain, breast, liver, gallbladder and kidney stones, a common disorder of dietary and metabolic acidity that also acidifies the urinary tract that affects over 50 percent of the population in the United States.
"For many people, iced tea is potentially one of the worst things you can drink," said Dr. John Milner, instructor, department of urology, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Ill. "For people who have a tendency to form kidney stones, it's definitely one of the worst things you can drink."
The most common cause of stones is the failure to drink enough alkaline fluids. During the summer, people are generally more dehydrated due to sweating. The dehydration combined with increase iced acid tea (including green tea) consumption raises the risk of brain, breast, liver, gallbladder, and kidney stones, especially in people who are prone to develop them.
"People are told that in the summertime they should drink more fluids," said. "A lot of people choose to drink more iced tea, thinking it's a tastier alternative. However, in terms of kidney stones, they're getting it going and coming. They're actually doing themselves a disservice."

If you're getting six to eight hours of sleep at night and you still have to drag yourself through eight seemingly endless hours of work during the day, it's time for a fatigue check-up. Here are five acidic fatigue factors you might want to consider:
Acidic Fatigue Factor #1: Acid Blood or Anemia or I Eat Too Much Sugar and Animal Protein Dis-Ease.
You may be bleeding internally and not know it - bleeding ulcers, for instance, may be slowly dragging you down. Kidney dis-ease can also be the result of acidic blood or anemia. In women, acid caused fibroid tumors or acid uterine polyps can be the culprit. Blood loss can lead to a deficiency of hemoglobin, the alkalizing protein in the blood that carries oxygen from your lungs to the rest of your body. The end result when your organs and tissues don't get enough alkalizing oxygen is fatigue. Other tell-tale acidic symptoms are irritability, dizziness, and feeling cold. A simple live blood test can show acidic blood anemia, and fatigue or Stage 1 acidosis begins to diminish after only a month of alkalizing and energizing with the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet.
Acidic Fatigue Factor #2: Hypothyroidism or I Eat Too Much Crap Dis-ese.
If you are depressed, sluggish, and generally run-down, you may have an under-active acidic thyroid due to an acidic lifestyle and diet. The thyroid is a tiny gland with a big job; it sits at the base of your neck and regulates the speed at which your whole body operates and manages its alkaline design and acidic functions. While hypothyroidism affects both men and women, by age sixty, 17 percent of all women will have a thyroid disorder and not know it, according to the American Thyroid Foundation. A live and dried blood test can show it, and an alkaline lifestyle and diet can chase fatigue and an under-active acidic thyroid away.
Fatigue Factor #3: Caffeine Acid Overload or I Drink Too Much Acid Dis-Ease.
The hard core acid caffeine is everywhere these days, from fancy coffee drinks to so-called "energy" drinks. Too much of a acid thing, though, can drag you down instead of giving you a boost. "In some patients, continued abuse results in fatigue," says W. Stephen Pray, PhD, RPh. Cut out all acidic caffeine that is causing your fatigue, and keep in mind that caffeine is found in other highly acidic foods such as chocolate, black tea, green tea, energy drinks, and also in many medications.
Fatigue Factor #4: food allergies or I Eat and Drink Acid Dis-Ease,
Acidic food allergies or intolerances can cause acidic symptoms from headaches to hives, but the first symptom is often drowsiness or fatigue within ten to thirty minutes of digesting the acidic food or drink. Common offenders are milk, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, shellfish, and all forms of sugar. If you suspect an acidic food or drink intolerance, try an "acid elimination diet" that cuts out all acidic foods and drinks for a week or so. You will find that you will no longer have food allergies . Continued digesting of an acidic food or drink your body can't tolerate can lead not only to chronic fatigue but other health problems as well.
Fatigue Factor #5: Sleep Apnea or I Am Full of Acid Dis-Ease.
You may only think you're getting six to eight hours of sleep. You may actually stop breathing many times during the night, which awakens you just long enough to disturb your sleep, usually without your being aware of it. If you sleep alone, your only clue that you may have sleep apnea is chronic acid fatigue. If you share a bed with someone, snoring is also an acidic symptom. (They'll let you know!) A sleep clinic can diagnose sleep apnea, and an alkaline lifestyle and diet can often get you back on the road to restful nights. If you don't stop the acid lifestyle and diet, an increased risk of stroke or heart attack is down the road instead of an alkaline peaceful sleep.
All five factors are symptoms of the first stage of latent tissue acidosis - enervation - and can easily be resolved with an alkaline lifestyle and diet.

The following scientific discourse are twenty-five important points to understand concerning the creation of hydrochloric acid (HCL) and sodium bicarbonate in the stomach lining, the ingestion of protein and Sugar and how acid/alkaline biochemistry, physiology and anatomy relates to health, sickness and disease.
Unfortunately Dr. Royal Rife, a contemporary medical doctor and scientist and many other savants did not and do not understand how acid/base is created in the body and the onset of latent tissue acidosis. Welcome to the 21st century and Dr. Young's "New Biology."
How is acid/base created in the body?
1) The parietal or cover cells of the stomach split the sodium chloride of the blood. The sodium is used to bind with water and carbon dioxide to form the alkaline salt, sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3. The biochemistry is: H20 + CO2 + NaCl = NaHCO3 + HCL.
2) For each molecule of sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 made a molecule of hydrochloric acid or HCL is made and secreted into the digestive system or stomach (the gastric pits in the stomach) to be eliminate.
3) The cloride ion from the sodium chloride (salt) binds to an acid or proton forming HCL as a waste product of sodium bicarbonate production.
4) When large amounts of acids including HCL enter the stomach from a rich protein meal, acid is withdrawn from the acid-base household. The organism would die if the resulting alkalosis or NaHCO3 (base flood) or base surplus created by the stomach was not taken up by the alkalophile glands that need these quick bases in order to build up their strong sodium bicarbonate secretions. These glands and organs are the stomach, pancreas, Brunner's glands (between the pylorus and the junctions of the bile and pancreatic ducts) Lieberkuhn's glands in the liver and its bile with its strong acid binding capabilities which it has to produce.
5) When a rich protein and carbohydrate meal is ingested the stomach begins to manufacture and secret sodium bicarbonate or NHCO3 to alkalize the acids from the food ingested. This causes a loss in the alkaline reserves and an increase in acid and/or HCL found in the gastric pits of the stomach. These acids and/or HCL are taken up by the blood which lowers blood plasma pH. The blood eliminates this increase in gastrointestinal acid by throwing off into the Pishinger's spaces.
6) The space enclosed by these finer and finer fibers is called the Pishinger's space or the extracellular space that contains the fluids that bath and feed each and every cell while carrying away the waste from those same cells. There is no mention of this organ in American physiology text books. There is the extracellular space but no organ mentioned that stores acids from metabolism and diet, like the kidney. I call this organ the "pre-kidney."
7) After a rich protein or sugary meal, the urine pH becomes alkaline. Protein and Sugar nourishment then reacts acidic in the organism not only by the production of sulfuric, phosporhoric, nitric, uric, lactic and acetylaldehyde acids, respectively, but also through the formation and excretion of base in the urine. This is a double loss of bases.
8) During heavy exercise, the resulting lactic acid if not adsorbed by the collagen fibers, the specific acid catchers of the body, the organism would die. The total collection of these fibers is the largest organ of the body and is called the colloidal connective tissue organ of SCHADE. NO liquid exchange occurs between the blood and the parenchyma cells, or in reverse, unless it passes through this connective tissue organ. This organ connects, holds everything in our bodies in place. This organ is composed of ligaments, tendons, sinew, and the finer fibers that become the scaffolding that holds every single cell in our bodies in place. When acids are stored in this organ, which includes the muscles, inflammation and pain develop.
That is why I have stated, "acid is pain and pain is acid." You cannot have one without the other. This is the beginning of latent tissue acidosis.
9) The more acidity, the more acids adsorbed to the collagen fibers to be neutralized and the less sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 is taken up by the alkalophile glands. The larger the potential difference between the adsorbed acids and the amount of NaHCO3 generated with each meal; the more or less alkaline or rich in bases are the alkalophile glands like the pancreas, gallbladder, pylorus glands, blood, etc. The acid binding power of the connective tissue, the blood and the alkalophile glands depends on its alkali reserve which can be determined through blood, urine, and saliva pH, including live and dried blood analysis at taught by Dr. Robert O. Young.
10) The iso-structure of the blood maintains the pH of the blood by pushing off the acids into the connective tissue. The blood gives to the urine the same amount of acid that it receives from the tissues and liver so it retains its iso-form. A base deficiency is always related to the deterioration of the deposit ability of the connective tissues. As long as the iso-structure of the blood is maintained, the urine, which originates from the blood, remains a faithful reflected image of the acid-base regulation, not of the blood, but of the tissues. The urine therefore is an excretion product of the tissues not the blood. So when you are testing the pH of the urine you are testing the pH of the tissues.
11) A latent "acidosis" is the condition that exists when there are not enough bases in the alkalophile glands because they have been used up in the process of neutralizing the acids adsorbed to the collagen fibers. This leads to compensated "acidosis." This means the blood pH has not changed but other body systems have changed. This can then lead to decompensated "acidosis" where the alkaline reserves of the blood are used up and the pH of the blood is altered. Decompensated "acidosis" can be determined by testing the blood pH, urine pH and the saliva pH. The decrease in the alkaline reserves in the body occurs because of hyper-proteinization, (eating steak!) too much protein and hyper-carbonization, too much sugar. This is why 80 to 90 year old folks are all shrunk up and look like prunes. They have very little or no alkaline reserves in their alkalophile glands. When all the alkaline minerals are gone, so are you and your battery runs down. The charge of your cellular bat
tery can be measured testing the ORP or the oxidative reduction potential of the blood using an ORP meter. As you become more acidic this energy potential or ORP decreases.
12) If there is not enough base left over after a protein or surgary meal, or enough base to neutralize and clear the acids stored in the connective tissues, a relative base deficiency develops which leads to latent tissue acidosis. When this happens the liver and pancreas are deficient of adequate alkaline juices to ensure proper alkalization of the food in your stomach and small intestine.
13) Digestion or alkalization cannot proceed without enough of these alkaline juices for the liver and pancreas, etc., so the stomach has to produce more acid in order to make enough base, ad nauseam, and one can develop indigestion, nausea, acid reflux, GERD, ulcers, esophageal cancer and stomach cancer. All of these symptoms are not the result of too much acid, on the contrary, it is the result of too little base!
14) The stomach is NOT an organ of digestion as currently taught in ALL biology and medical texts, BUT an organ of contribution or deposit. It's function is to deposit alkaline juices to the stomach to alkalize the food and to the blood to carry to the alklophile glands!!!!
15) There is a daily rhythm to this acid base, ebb and flow of the fluids of the body. The stored acids are mobilized from the connective tissues and Pishinger's spaces while we sleep.
These acids reach their maximum (base tide) concentration in this fluid, and thereby the urine at 2am is the most acidic. The acid content of the urine directly reflects the acid content of the fluid in the Pishinger's spaces, the extracellular fluid compartments of the body. On the other hand the Pishinger's spaces become most alkaline around 2pm (the base flood) as then the most sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 is being generated by the cover cells of the stomach to alkalize the food and drink we have ingested.
16) If your urine is not alkaline by 2pm you are definitely in an ACIDIC condition and lacking in alkaline reserves. The pH of the urine should run between 6.8 and 8.4.
17) The free acids formed after a high protein meal such as sulfuric, phosphoric, uric and nitric acids stick to the collagen fibers to remove them from the blood and protect the delicate pH of 7.365. The H+ or proton ions from these acids are neutralized by the next base flood, the sodium bicarbonate produced after the meal. The H+ or proton ion combines with the carbonate or HCO-3, converts to carbonic acid, H2CO3, which converts to CO2 and H2O. The sulfuric and other acids from proteins are neutralized as follows where the HR represents any acid with the R as its acid radical (SO4, PO4, or NO3) HR + NaHCO3 <=> H2O + NaR (Ca, Mg, K)+ CO2.
18) Medical doctors and savants do not recognize latent tissue acidosis. They recognize compensated acidosis and decompensated acidosis. In compensated acidosis breathing increases in order to blow off more carbonic acid which decreases PCO2 because of the lowered carbonate or HCO3. When the breathing rate can no longer get any faster and when the kidneys can no longer increase their function to keep up with the acid load then the blood pH starts to change from a pH of 7.365 to 7.3 then to 7.2. At a blood pH of 6.95 the heart relaxes and the client goes into a coma or dies.
19) Metabolism of a normal adult diet results in the generation of 50 to 100 meq of H+ or proton per day, which must be excreted if the urine acid-base balance is to be maintained. A meq is a milliequivalent which is an expression of concentration of substance per liter of solution, calculated by dividing the concentration in milligrams per 100 milliliters by the molecular weight. This process involves two basis steps; 1) the reabsorption of the filtered sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 and, 2) excretion of the 50 to 100 meq of H+ or proton produced each day by the formation of titratable acidity and NH4+ or ammonium. Both steps involve H+ or proton secretion from the cells of the kidney into the urine.
20) Sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 must be reabsorbed into the blood stream, since the loss of NaHCO3 will increase the net acid load and lower the plasma NaHCO3 concentration. The loss of NaHCO3 in the urine is equivalent to the addition of H+ to the body, since both are derived from the dissociation of H2CO3 or carbonic acid.
21) The biochemistry is: CO2 + H2O = H2CO3 = HCO3 + H+. The normal subject must reabsorb 4300 meq of NaHCO3 each day! The secreted H+ or proton ions are generated within the kidney cells from the dissociation of H2O or water. This process also results in the equimolar production OH- or hydroxyl ions. The OH- ions bind to the active zinc-containing site of the intracellular carbonic anhydrase; they then combine with CO2 to form HCO3- ions which are released back into the kidney cells and returned to the systemic circulation. Second, the dietary acid load is excreted by the secretion of H+ or proton ions from the kidney cells into the urine. These H+ or proton ions can do one of two things - the H+ or proton ions can combined with the urinary buffers, particularly HPO4 in a process called titratable acidity. The biochemistry is: H+ + HPO4 = H2PO4 or the phosphate buffering system or the H+ or proton ions can combine with ammonia (NH3) to form ammonium as follows:
NH3 + H+ = NH4.
22) This ammonia is trapped and concentrated in the kidney as ammonium which is then excreted in the urine.
23) In response to acid load, 36% of the H+ or proton goes intracellular in exchange for the release of Na+ (sodium) into the blood stream. 15% of the acid goes intracellular in exchange for K+ (potassium) - common in diabetics. 6% of the H+ or proton or acid goes directly into the cell to be buffered by intracellular processes. 43% is buffered extracellularly as NaHCO3- or sodium bicarbonate combining with H+ or proton to form H2CO3 or carbonic acid which breaks down to CO2 or carbon dioxide to be released by the lungs. 10% of CO2 or cabon dioxide is excreted through the lungs and 90% is used by the body to reabsorb alkaline minerals and make sodium bicarbonate.
The biochemistry is: CO2 + H2O = H2CO3 = HCO3 + H+.
24) Of all the ways the body can buffer metabolic and dietary acids, the excretion of protein (the eating of steak) generated acid residues is the only process that does not add sodium bicarbonate back into blood circulation. This creates a loss of bases which is the forerunner of all sickness and disease. In the long run the only way to replace these lost bases is by eating more alkaline electron rich green foods and long chain polyunsaturated fats. A cucumber a day keeps the Doctor away - an apple creates more acid leading to latent tissue acidosis.
25) The Human Body is an acid producing organism by function yet is is an alkaline organism by design. Eating animal protein and Sugar are deadly acidic choices - unless you want to be sick and tired.
Bottom line - get off your acid and go to health with an alkaline lifestyle and diet, I call the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet.

Scientists have been studying the acid/alkaline conditions at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.
Natural carbon dioxide vents on the sea floor are showing scientists how carbon emissions will affect marine life.
Dissolved CO2 makes water more acidic, and around the vents, researchers saw a fall in species numbers, and snails with their shells disintegrating because of the increase of acid C02.
Writing in the journal Nature, the UK scientists suggest these impacts are likely to be seen across the world as CO2 levels rise in the atmosphere.
Some of the extra CO2 emitted enters the oceans, acidifying waters globally.
The only way of reducing the impact of ocean acidification is the urgent reduction in CO2 emissions.
"These same principals of acidification of the ocean also apply to the acidification of our body and the causative reason for the increase in cancer, heart disease, diabetes and all other degenerative diseases," states Dr. Robert O. Young, a research scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center.
"Studies have shown that the seas have become more acidic since the industrial revolution," states Carol Turley. of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory.
Research leader Jason Hall-Spencer from the University of Plymouth said that atmospheric CO2 concentrations were now so high that even a sharp fall in emissions would not prevent some further acidification of the ocean.
"It's clear that marine food webs as we know them are going to alter, and biodiversity will decrease," he told BBC News.
"Those impacts are inevitable because acidification is inevitable - we've started it, and we can't stop it."
Corals construct their external skeletons by extracting dissolved calcium carbonate from seawater and using it to form two minerals, calcite and aragonite. Molluscs use the same process to make their shells.
As water becomes more acidic, the concentration of calcium carbonate falls. Eventually there is so little that shells or skeletons cannot form.
The oceans are thought to have absorbed about half of the extra CO2 put into the atmosphere in the industrial age. This has lowered its pH by 0.1 pH is the measure of acidity and alkalinity.
The vast majority of liquids lie between pH 0 (highly acidic) and pH 14 (highly alkaline); 7 is the midpoint of the pH scale. Seawater is mildly alkaline with a "natural" pH of about 8.2.
The IPCC forecasts that ocean pH will fall by "between 0.14 and 0.35 units over the 21st Century, adding to the present decrease of 0.1 units since pre-industrial times."
Around the vents which Dr Hall-Spencer's team investigated, in the Mediterranean Sea near the Italian coast, CO2 bubbling into the water forms
a sort of natural laboratory for studying the impacts of acidified water on marine life.
Globally, the seas now have an average pH of about 8.1 - down about 0.1 since the dawn of the industrial age.
Around the vents, it fell as low as 7.4 in some places. But even at 7.8 to 7.9, the number of species present was 30% down compared with neighboring areas.
Coral was absent, and species of algae that use calcium carbonate were displaced in favour of species that do not use it.
Snails were seen with their shells dissolving. There were no snails at all in zones with a pH of 7.4.
Meanwhile, sea grasses thrived, perhaps because they benefit from the extra carbon in the water.
These observations confirm that some of the processes seen in laboratory experiments and some of the predictions made by computer models of ocean ecosystems do also happen in the real world.
"I can't count the number of times that scientific talks end with 'responses have not yet been documented in the field'," said Elliott Norse, president of the Marine Conservation Biology Institute (MCBI).
"This paper puts that to rest for several ecologically important marine groups."
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) suggests that without measures to restrain carbon dioxide emissions, ocean pH is likely to fall to about 7.8 by 2100.
This suggests that some of the impacts seen around the Mediterranean vents might be widespread.
"I think we will see the same pattern in other parts of the world, because we're talking about keystone species such as mussels and limpets and barnacles
being lost as pH drops," said Dr Hall-Spencer.
The IPCC suggests that some areas, notably the Southern Ocean, might feel the impacts at lower concentrations of CO2.
Last month, scientists reported that water with CO2 levels high enough to be "corrosive" to marine life was rising up off the western US coast.
Bottom water naturally contains more CO2 than at shallower depths. This scientific team argues that human emissions have pushed these levels
even higher, contributing to pH values as low 7.5 in waters heavily used by US fishermen.
"If [pH 7.8] is a universal 'tipping point', then it indicates that sections of the western coast waters off North America may have passed this threshold during periods when this upwelling of waters high in CO2 occurs," commented Carol Turley from Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), who was not involved in the Mediterranean Sea study (PML is not affiliated with Plymouth University).
Organisms such as coral are also damaged by rising temperatures, and studies are ongoing into the combined effect of a warming and acidifying ocean.
Seagrasses were among the few beneficiaries of more acid waters. There is much to learn. And during the coming week, scientists will announce the inauguration of the European Project on Ocean Acidification (Epoca), a four-year, 16m euro (£12.5m) initiative aiming to find some answers.
Studying the impacts may prove easier than doing anything about them.
"The reason that the oceans are becoming more acidic is because of the CO2 emissions that we are producing from burning fossil fuels," observed Dr Turley.
"Add CO2 to seawater and you get carbonic acid; it's simple chemistry, and therefore certain.
"This means that the only way of reducing the future impact of ocean acidification is the urgent, substantial reduction in CO2 emissions."
According to Dr. Young, "ocean acidification is the macro view of our oceans becoming sick and tired and the primary causative factor in global warming.
The death and extinction of marine life is the result of this acidification which can be prevented with alkalizing measures."

The best thing about working with co-workers is the co-workers. The worst thing about working with co-workers is the co-workers. Although, I have been blessed with the tremendous knowledge of pH, I definitely fell off the wagon yesterday, and am paying for it at 1am, with major nausea!
I have been eating beautifully for 2 years. Yesterday, at the office party, I ate sausage egg cheese casserole, dairy, sugar, chocolate, and more sugar. As a result, I have a runny nose, major stomach ache and headache. I just threw away some Sugar and plan to throw away more tomorrow. Oh my gosh, does my stomach hurt! I know without a doubt, it was from eating too much dead pig, bacteria-laden eggs and cheese, and sugar-just another name for A-C-I-D.
Shelley's saying of "Nothing tastes as good as good health feels" is true! When all our well-meaning friends give us cookies, cakes, pies, and candy, let's remember, that they are really simply A-C-I-D-non-foods that make us sick and tired!!! Instead of eating them (gag) or passing them along, let's just throw them away! Is there really moderation when it comes to one or two servings? That's 40 grams of sugar, or 10 teaspoons of white death. Is it really that hard to say "No thank you"??? Your stomach will thank you. Save yourself the pain. I wish I had yesterday.

Over the past two decades, esophageal cancer has risen six-fold. About 16,470 Americans will be diagnosed with esophageal cancer this year, according to the American Cancer Society. Fewer than one in five survives five years with the current medical treatment of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
The following are excerpts from an article by Lauran Neegaard of the Associated Press and Dr. Robert O. Young, of the pH Miracle Living Center.
"Chronic heartburn is a daily acid bath for the esophagus, and complications from it are on the rise."
"The reason that chronic heartburn is on the rise is because of the chronic ingestion of acidic foods and drinks, including dairy, meat, high Sugar fruits and grains. When we have a highly acidic diet this causes the stomach to produce a high amount of sodium bicarbonate to buffer the excess dietary acid. This increase of sodium bicarbonate to alkalize the ingestion of an highly acidic meal creates an equal amount of a very strong acid called hydrochloric acid. (NaturalNews) With the aging population of the United States, the incidence of so-called age-related diseases should be expected to rise. In fact the incidence of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and a host of other diseases have been steadily rising for all age groups until it has reached epidemic proportions. That is because the factors of stress, lack of physical activity, environmental pollutants and a diet high in acid-producing foods collectively create the underlying cause of most degenerative diseases: acidosis.
Proper Acid/Alkaline Balance is Fundamental
What is acidosis? It is the reduced alkalinity of our blood and tissues. Why is this so important? Our body stays alive and healthy only because all of its 100 trillion cells communicate with each other. They do this through electrical, chemical and hormonal processes. In order for these signaling mechanisms to work, the body’s internal environment must be in a slightly alkaline state. If our body becomes too acidic, it adversely affects the functioning of all its parts: heart cells, blood cells, brain cells, nerve cells, muscle cells, bone cells, even skin and hair cells. Obviously, this leaves us vulnerable to all sorts of health problems.
The acidity or alkalinity of a substance is usually expressed as a number on the “pH” scale. The pH scale goes from 1 to 14, with 1 being most acidic, 7 being neutral and 14 most alkaline, (The symbol “pH” is the abbreviation for “power of hydrogen,” a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions). For blood, a pH level of 7.43 - just slightly alkaline - is optimal. Levels lower than 7.0 indicate an overly acidic state (acidosis) while levels above 7.5 indicate an overly alkaline state (called alkalosis).
The Problem with Chronic Acidosis
Acidosis begins when the body cannot properly dispose of excessive acids building up in the bloodstream. The body attempts to maintain proper pH balance by eliminating the excess acids through the kidneys, lungs and skin or by neutralizing the acids during the processes of digestion and cellular metabolism. However, when too much acid is produced, the body cannot keep pace. The excess waste overwhelms the system, polluting the blood and impairing the ability of the body’s cells to communicate.
In an effort to protect vital organs, the body diverts the harmful acids to store in tissues, joints and bones. This might make the organs temporarily safe, but the diversion can cause joint and skeletal problems such as osteo- and Rheumatoid Arthritis ; skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema; and tissue problems such as chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
Over time, the acids build up in the organs where they begin to disrupt normal functioning. This produces more waste, which further lowers the body’s pH level. The decreased pH level means that the body is inundated with more dangerous acids and the problem becomes even more severe. Without restoring balance, cell walls harden and solidify. Our organs deteriorate as the cells die off, which further exacerbates our acidic condition. Now the body’s state of acidosis is a prime breeding ground for pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, molds and parasites, which feed off of the diseased tissues and organs. Acidosis literally destroys the body from the inside out, paving the way for disease to take over.
In an attempt to neutralize excess acids, the body draws on its store of alkalizing minerals. Calcium, magnesium and sodium are drawn into the bloodstream at the expense of the bones and organs that these minerals were taken from. The bones are often the hardest hit, as they are drained of their necessary calcium reserves, leading to bone thinning and an increased risk of osteoporosis, rheumatism and fractures. The teeth also suffer as a result of the demineralization, making them more brittle and cavity-prone.
Keeping the body in an acidic state for a prolonged period of time can dramatically accelerate aging. Cellular structures become altered. Cell membranes become narrower and weaker. The cells eventually begin making “mistakes” as they try to repair and regenerate themselves. Acidosis inhibits the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen is the principal protein of our bones, cartilage, tendons and skin and provides rigidity. Elastin is a protein that gives our skin, blood vessels and organs elasticity. Without collagen and elastin, the body loses its youthful appearance, as it is no longer able to sustain moisturized and wrinkle-free skin. Internally, the body is also aging more rapidly. The premature cell death impairs brain function as the neurons can no longer properly conduct impulses. We begin to experience memory loss and the abilities to learn and reason decline.
With untreated acidosis, excess acids within the body attack the tissues and organs, resulting in inflammation, lesions and hardening of organ tissues. The skin and kidneys are especially sensitive to the harmful acids. Hives, eczema, blotching and itching can occur from acidic sweat passing through the skin’s pores. The kidneys can become inflamed, which can lead to frequent urinary tract infections. Hardening of tissues and inflammation are also contributors to cardiovascular disease, and the resultant increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
In a state of acidosis, there is less oxygen available to the body. Many pathogens live in oxygen-deprived environments. Acidosis, then, makes the body a prime breeding ground for harmful microorganisms to live. Acid buildup also takes a nasty toll on the body’s immune function by seriously diminishing the production of white blood cells. The white blood cells that are generated are of reduced strength, making it even easier for disease and infection to take hold within the body. Dangerous microorganisms can now spread throughout the body, seeking out weakened areas. They break down tissues and interfere with biological processes, leaving behind a deadly wake of waste, which further perpetuates the acidic state.
Chronic acidosis also contributes to a state of insulin resistance within the body by interfering with glucose delivery to the cells. Normally, ordinary levels of insulin will escort glucose into the cells. With acidosis, the cell receptors fail to recognize the insulin hormone and deny it access to deposit the glucose, causing Sugar to build up within the bloodstream. The pancreas, unaware of the insulin resistance, steps up insulin production in an effort to pump out enough of the hormone to remedy the situation. The body interprets the lack of glucose within the cells as starvation and begins to convert every calorie into fat. As a result, obesity and diabetes ensue.
Restoring Acid-Alkaline Balance
The most effective way to reduce acids within the body is by enacting dietary changes. A proper diet should be comprised of 60-80% alkalizing foods and 40-20% acid-forming foods. The Standard American Diet is mostly made up of acid-forming foods including coffee, tea, wine and most proteins (with the exception of milk, butter, soft cheese and almonds) as well as most fats, cereals and sugars. On the other hand, almost all fruits and vegetables (except for tomatoes, cranberries and blueberries) are alkalizing.

Mastering the pH Balancing Act Can Improve Your Health Significantly
A recent study suggests that the same minerals and vitamins in spinach that perform instant wonders for Popeye's or Dr. Young's biceps might pack longer-lasting effects, such as dictating the hair color and health of future generations.
Last November, a study led by David Martin, an oncologist at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute in California, tested whether a mouse's diet alone can affect its descendants.
The researchers fed meals high in minerals and vitamins--such as B12, which fortifies leafy greens--to pregnant mice that have a gene that makes their fur blond and also increases the likelihood that they will grow obese and develop diabetes and cancer. On the new diet, the mice produced brown-haired offspring that were also less vulnerable to disease. Even when those mice were denied the supplements, their offspring retained the improved health and still grew dark fur coats.
Martin's study isn't the first to note this type of generation-spanning phenomenon. In 2002, Swedish researchers dug through century-old records and determined that a man's diet at the onset of puberty affected his grandson's vulnerability to diabetes. The study tracked 303 men, and those with an abundant supply of food were four times as likely to have grandchildren die of diabetes. Though far from exhaustive, the study indicates that genes are more susceptible to outside forces than has been commonly believed.
