I got some 90,000 HU Cayenne today, and took 1/4th TSP in water with raw garlic and Milk Thistle. It felt good, gave me a slight burn, not bad. It's like I'm still used to it from a few years ago when I took it.

Dr. Christopher's diet for everyone included Cayenne 3x daily (especially if they were sick); it is something I strongly recommend for everyone. I know of no reason one shouldn't take Cayenne with Hep C. If you'd like me to suggest some herbs and protocol tips regarding treating/curing Hepatitis, just let me know.

Health Benefits of Cayenne Pepper
I was taking EDTA to help improve my circulation (I'm a male, age 59), but stated getting signs of mineral deficiency so I quit it. Maybe Cayenne is a better idea. Cayenne is definitely THE "go to herb" for circulation issues, but it's also very important to address the reason for the lack of circulation. Also, there are other herbs & protocols to enhance and restore circulation.
EDTA (or any type of "chelation") is something I believe to be very dangerous and risky...and here's why.
Our bodies are far more intelligent than ANY researcher, 'doctor' or computer (or anything they can come up with to sell that will band-aid our symptoms, or relieve the symptoms and then cause something else to go wrong). Our body recognizes immediately when it cannot detoxify or eliminate a harmful substance adequately or quickly enough to prevent it from causing damage, and so our body stores it safely out of the bloodstream in our tissues (day after week after year after decade...each day's exposure that cannot be detoxified or eliminated is taken out of the bloodstream). Eventually this starts producing symptoms.
Lack of circulation and/or high heavy metal levels are not caused by a lack of pharmaceuticals, alternative-science based isolated plant chemical "supplements" (basically pharmaceuticals), or even natural herbs. The actual cause is constant exposure and our organs of detoxification & elimination being not properly cared for, sluggish/congested and totally overburdened. (We give our cars adequate maintenance 2-4x yearly, or more if necessary, and we only use them a few hours a day. Think of how "under-maintained and overdue" our bodies are when they're running 24 hours a day with a brick on the accelerator...just from living on a highly toxic planet where babies are born with over 200 toxic chemicals in their bloodstream...with virtually NO maintenance for decades). Yep, we're a clogged up mess (with all the symptoms that come along with it).
So (long story short), we start having symptoms from the build-up of metals/toxins and alternative-science advises us to chelate the build-up (without doing ANYTHING for our already overburdened, clogged and exhausted organs & systems of elimination?!). What percentage of 40 years of build-up gets dumped into the bloodstream daily when chelating? FAR more than the typical daily burden/amount (that our organs of elimination couldn't handle originally, or there wouldn't be a build-up in the first place). This stresses our body horribly because our skin, liver, kidneys, lungs, and entire digestive tract (all responsible for eliminating these chemicals and heavy metals) are actually in worse shape than they were upon initial exposure years/decades ago. So if the organs of elimination couldn't eliminate "one days worth" years ago, what happens when we dump a week's/month's worth into our bloodstream daily when chelating? The organs can't get any more out daily than they did before and the rest goes right back into the tissues. There may be a 'honeymoon phase' right after chemically forcing the body to rapidly detoxify, but without tending to extra damage done and the original lack of maintenance, typically we see an increase in problems a few weeks/months after "chelation".
If we would have done what is logical and natural (cleansing and restoring our organs of elmination and body to it's peak function) and stopped exposing ourself to the harmful toxins (and electro pollution), our bodies would be able to tend to the backlog of toxic/metal burdens in the way that our bodies knows is best and most logical for it. But we think (oh egotistical humans that we all are), that we know better than our bodies.
Of course, there may be "emergency situations" where rapid chelation is essential to sustain life, but that's rarely the case. When it comes to detoxifying and chelating 'decades worth' of heavy metals and toxin build-up, methinks that: logical, slow, consistent, and natural are the words/concepts we need to embed in our thinking & methodology.

Cayenne is not a replacement for healthy/natural sauna-therapy - but it's of great benefit in MANY different ways.
As you can see (if you didn't know it already) there's a HUGE difference between "natural" and "alternative"! It's something that most are very surprised to learn. We do everything as "natural" as possible here.

Many people at hormone forums tell you to get SF to 150 or above, so like many things, opinions vary on this. I agree - opinions definitely vary on 'health issues'. Mine? Since allopathic medicine is the leading cause of death in the US, and virtually every alternative test & concept is based on allopathic medicine's "truth du jour" (alternative medicine typically manipulates the body with isolated plant/chemical substances rather than with pharmaceuticals...without addressing the true cause of the issue). I've cured myself of :::deep breath::: horrible hormonal imbalances including very harsh female issues and PCOS, 15 years of depression, high bp, severe adrenal fatigue (twice, going on three times, because I was an idiot twice and didn't follow my own knowledge/advice ::sigh::). Rocky53 (my hubby) has cured himself of Peripheral Artery Disease, lowered his cholesterol over 100 points and we've both increased and ensured our future health & energy and eliminated many different "minor issues". Neither one of us has had a cold or the flu in over 9 years. And if it weren't for the fact that he has to have an annual physical yearly for the VA thing (he now has flawless bloodwork), neither of us have consulted an MD or an ND or requested any type of a test in over 10 years. Well, I saw the psychiatrist when I was taking psych-meds, so I guess I've seen an MD in the last 10 years...but he didn't do a thing to heal me and I only went because I was convinced I had "genetic depression" and it was impossible for me to every be off the drugs. So my (obviously strong) opinion is that "we don't need no steeeenking doctors" when we can observe our symptoms and heal ourselves. Of course, if we don't have the knowledge we need to heal ourselves, we have to rely upon others (especially in a crisis...which is the worst situation for needing to rely upon others). There's absolutely nothing more empowering and no greater freedom than having control of our own body and health. YAY!!!!
On arising today I oil pulled with 1 TBS of Sunflower oil, then drank 1/4th tsp of 90,000 HU cayenne in 8 oz of water with 1 tsp lemon juice. Wow. Does that wale you up fast. Morning cayenne'll do it for sure! OPing is a great therapy :)
I just brought a jar of it to my neighbor, who may have been dying. He had a pacemaker installed a few months ago and it's been giving him trouble, and his heart MD seems like a jerk. He can't get hold of heart MD, he's on vacation already and won't be back until after Xmas. I took him a jar with 8 oz of water and 1 TSP of 90,000 HU cayenne, and he drank it, and already seems to be having less trouble breathing. I may have saved his life today. He's 70. He's going to take 1/2 tsp of cayenne in water 3x a day from now on. I really think it's going to do him a lot of good and I wish I'd gotten him to take cayenne sooner than this but he's been quite devoted to MDs..FANTASTIC!!! APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! Rocky n' I saved his mom's life once with cayenne (heart failure). Hopefully you've planted a seed that will grow even more...and he'll start getting the idea that the MD's never actually heal anything. I'm SURE the cayenne will do him a world of good! Just remember to remind him that cayenne powder can increase peristalsis and bowel movements (the tincture doesn't usually do that because it's all absorbed into the bloodstream before reaching the intestines), and he might experience a bit (or a lot) of "exit burning" until he acclimates. You're definitely a wonderful neighbor, that's for sure AND for certain!

Thank you! I'd be glad to have you recommend some protocols of cayenne. I have Licorice, Golden Seal herb capsules here, and Pau D'Arco, Uva Ursi, and Gotu Kola. I seem to tolerate Licorice for a week or so, then it speeds up my bowels too much. Golden Seal may have a similar effect. As far as a "protocol for cayenne", it's basically the same for everyone...work up to 1 teaspoon of Cayenne powder 3x daily. 150,000 - 250,000 HU is the minimum HU I suggest. Organic herbs (or truly wild-crafted) are essential. And never take Cayenne in capsules (actually, encapsulated herbs are the least effective).
You've already got a LOT of good info for reading/learning on the Cayenne, but here's more regarding non-organic, over-dried herbs.

Basically, there are very few sources for dried, encapsulated herbs that are truly efficacious (Herb Pharm is one), but you still have to take so many compared to a quality tincture...and even then if you have any type of digestive issues, only a small percentage will "process" and be assimilated effectively. The digesting & assimilating is mostly done in the small intestine, and there's been many people that see undigested capsules (and parts of capsules) in their stool. Basically, encapsulated herbs are not only a waste of money, but very frustrating and misleading.
Since the majority of all herbs on the market are grown in third-world countries, another huge problem is inferior harvesting and processing. All herbs have various parts that should be harvested at certain stages of their growth cycle. Workers harvesting the herbs in these countries are paid 'slave wages' and the growers care far more about "quantity than quality"...so even though it may be useless to harvest the roots or leaves when the plant is in flower, that doesn't matter. Then the herbs (which should be slowly shade-dried) are typically tossed into huge hot kilns where the temperatures destroy many of the essential oils (or actually burn the herbs) - and once they get all the way here they're put in commercial grinders (more heat) before they're encapsulized. It's no wonder so few people actually get the healing benefits of the herbs they try :(
Garlic, Cayenne, and Ginger are all beneficial foods for my blood type, as far as ER4YT is concerned. I'm thinking that would be quite a good combination for me. Garlic, Cayenne, lemon juice is what I took today. For those that don't know, ER4YT stands for "Eat Right for your Type" (blood type). Garlic, Cayenne & Ginger are beneficial foods for everyone's blood type. It seems like now is a good time for a little clarification. I've scanned through a few of your past posts (I always do that to try to find clues that will help me help others in the best way I can), and since I see there's some things that we might disagree upon, I just wanted to 'share the above'. Nobody realizes more than me that the healing pathways each of choose to believe in are just as controversial as 'religion & politics'...and I certainly don't want to step on your toes or offend you (or anyone else). I spent years researching, and found what I considered to be the most successful healers of this past century and then I spent more years learning and utilizing the protocols (and creating their herbal formulas)...and then I opened this forum to teach others how to learn to be their own doctors and take responsibility for their health via the most natural methodology possible (the most unnatural things I suggest are tinctures and juices...and even monkeys sometimes "juice" their produce, so they're not really unnatural).
Back to the ginger, garlic & cayenne. If following these great healers, one would have raw garlic and cayenne powder every day for the rest of our lives - the benefits are truly countless. Ginger is excellent for so many different things, and I don't know of any reason not to have a bit of it daily unless "too much" creates a problem. So good for you on those three! :)
Is it better to make a cayenne tincture or just put the 90k HU powder in water? I used to add it to a cup of boiling water and drink it when it cooled enough. I also have empty capsules and a capsule filling machine. The 'cayenne info' in the previous links explained why not to use cayenne in capsules. When taking the powder you can mix it with 'most anything you prefer. I'm partial to a little concotion I created that I call an ACV Bomb. Since Dr. Christopher suggested we should have a bit of raw/organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar before each meal (and cayenne powder 3x daily, and blackstrap molasses or raw/local honey daily...and Dr. Schulze suggests raw garlic)...and dosing with all that got to be kind of crazy, I thought it would be far easier to just mix them all together. So I suggest mixing a tablespoon of ACV with a Tablespoon of blackstrap molasses or raw/local honey, add whatever dose of cayenne powder you're taking and a clove or two of raw garlic - add a couple of "gulps worth" of water or juice, and just get it all over with in one "dose" (rather than trying to remember/schedule taking them each separately). You could mix up something like that with the ginger that'd likely be very beneficial for your liver (ginger & garlic are both chologogues that increase the flow of bile).
As far as the licorice "speeding up the bowels", yes - licorice is known to help ensure normal, healthy bowel activity (3-5 healthy bowel movements daily is what is normal...one upon waking, one 30 minutes or so after every meal and sometimes before retiring. They should be about the color of peanut butter and 'softly shaped' and about the consistency of custard...and odor free). Bowel cleansing and healing are imperative for healing, so I hope you've "been there done that" :)
