>>>I don't know if my heart is big enough to hold it all...the 'positive' and 'negative'...the 'perpetrators' and victims'...the 'accepted' and 'rejected'...the 'light' and the 'shadow'. How does one embrace all of it...say YES to it all...give thanks for it all? And yet I must do this.
***********************************************************************************
we are not god... yet we are conditioned to play god... which is an impossible task...
the more we play god the more things go astray... and unless we become able to let go and let god we will always be in torment... because it is all so overwhelming...
peace is attained to the extent that one can learn to 'trust'... to... 'let go and let god'... peace is to be found in the silence of the mind... a definition of 'serenity' is one that able to keep their composure in the midst of the storms raging about them... another slogan that comes to mind is that we cannot change the wind... but we can adjust our sails...
perhaps you may want to focus on the 'serenity prayer'... and meditate... focus on what it is trying to say to you...
The Serenity Prayer
Path
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Requiescat in Pace
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
