Dinner Party Went Well
The Tempting Avocado...
Date: 4/9/2006 9:31:12 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2092 times I had guests last night for dinner. We typically have a few families over each month, and I decided I could continue to do so while fasting. Otherwise, we might have missed 2 months. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be because I focused on the social interaction instead of the food.
I used my Vitamix to make raw spaghetti sauce; then put it in the crockpot for a few hours on low (all of the guests eat SAD diets, and my family wanted it cooked, too.) Boiled noodles last minute, and prepped vegees for a huge salad. The guests brought dessert and wine, so I was done.
The only hard part was the salad. Not making it but putting it away. I did sneak a tiny piece of avocado into my mouth, enjoyed the flavor and texture, and then grabbed ahold of myself. I spit it into the trash and rinsed my mouth out with a bunch of water. I can't believe I almost gave in! I had a friend put the rest of the salad away for me, and focused on the dishes!
I am still quite sore (the house work didn't help) but will keep increasing the amount of cayenne I'm adding to my drinks. Hopefully, I'll learn to like it some day...
The scale dropped almost another pound...down to 214.8. 199 is SO close.
