Day 8- the scale
The scale is a liar sometimes, depending on which scale is talking to you...
Date: 10/19/2005 8:27:42 PM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 2984 times Today went okay. I started out with a couple of hot cups of green tea with lemon. Yummmmm. Tonight I had a pineapple/banana/apple smoothie with 1 scoop of Nature's Way Alive. It tasted awesome!
I went to the gynecologist today...they wieghed me at the Doctor's Office. The digital scale said I wieghed 139. That was not cool. I wonder how different my scale is from that one, and which one is closer to the truth? In any case, I chose not to believe the digital Doctor scale, in favor of my own...for one reason: I just bought my scale 3 weeks ago, and they wiegh women all day long on the other one...so it probably needs to be re-calibrated (well I can hope right?). Even so, I started with my scale, and it is, at the very least, an indicator of how many pounds lost since I started this diet.
We are on day 8. I wieghed in on my scale this morning at 131. When I started this diet I was at 138. So I lost 7 lbs so far on this fast. That's really good for me. I actually wieghed 145, I think, before that when I started dieting a little. So total I have lost at least 13 lbs. I also have my period, which tends to make the scale wrong...since women retain water on the menstruation cycle. (so maybe I will drop even further when it's over!)
Felt fine today, no lethargy (salad helped from last night).
The other day I saw my friend and he noticed right away that I had lost wieght. He told me he could see it in my face. I wonder if my boyfriend will be able to tell. No one from work notices because they see me everyday...and everyday I guess I get a smidge smaller...
Can't wait to go to NYC and be in the 120-125 range! 9 more days to go!
