Narco-State: a concentration of wealth tactic
Why Right Wing america creates narco-states
Date: 5/12/2007 12:11:58 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 2026 times This is part two of the previous post about concentration of wealth. The Narco-state is a tactic to help achieve 'concentration of power and wealth'. Creating narco-states has the side benefit of disabling many ordinary citizens who might otherwise be trouble for the Elite Wealthy people
It could be a desperate situation in many nations on earth if 'paramilitary groups' were running around freely and in charge. This is the situation in Bolivia, where cocaine production is controlled by a small group of people at the top of the government and the military there. The 1981 "cocaine coup" was not the start of it, but it was a defining moment. The CIA was reported to be the main 'arranger' of the cocaine coup, where drug dealers and the Argentine military took over Bolivian government at gunpoint. The cocaine that has been flooding the USA for the past 25 keeps that narco-state in power, and it has created a few very wealthy people in Bolvia and America.
Argentina is also a "narco-state". There is also Panama, Nicaragua, Peru, Mexico, Columbia, and others. Across the oceans, there is Afghanistan and Turkey and so on where opiates are freely flowing with government and military [or warlord] protection. Many more of those kind of nations on earth will not be a good thing!!
It is not the drugs themselves, but the violence and loss of democracy that bothers me most. Hijacking of entire nations to sell drugs and create millionaires in the midst of extreme poverty is worse. It is total lawlessness. It creates an ugly world living in desperation. How could we possibly solve global warming when entire nations are run by criminals who could not care less about climate change?
On the other hand, there are a few nations where civility and social and economic equality are evident, like Venezuela. The direction of Venezuela is towards more 'social wellness', whereas the narco-states are just trying to keep things as they are now, lacking any kind of vision and with no markers for progress other than 'how rich can the top dogs get". In Venezuela, progress is measured in percentages of the population that were once poor and suffering but are now doing well, and in land reforms that took large unused farms from wealthy elites and made them into productive lands for 1000s of farmers, and in reforming natural resoucres like oil to benefit the enitre population as compared to the corrupt practise of 'letting American oilmen have the oil as long as they give the leaders a few bucks' - creating milionaires instead of many people doing okay.
What is different there, as compared to the narco-states? - the influence of the CIA, Republicans, and American money. The theme of "creating milionaires instead of many people doing okay" is one that we have seen rise in popularity in the past 20 or 30 years. What is behind that is simply the tactic of "putting power or wealth into a few hands so it is easier to control". In fact, that was the CIA framework in the Bolivian Cocaine coup, the stated mission - "putting the cocaine production into 'just a few hands' so we can control the whole scene" [and no, it was not so they could bust them].
Concentrating wealth is a global goal of the Right Wing Elites. That will make it easier to control. Governments in Canada, America, Britian, many European nations [France too, now that they elected a Right Winger] and any of the other "capitalist" nations are all operating on that principle. Oil is a key to it all, keeping oil as our only source of energy, it is easier to control.
Whats wrong with this is that it dos not serve democratic principles. The majority of people are not served by this tactic of concentration. More doing well VS a few having it all must eventually lead to major conflict. To avoid that conflict, there could be massive culls of the population, probably by infectious diseases - the fake Bird Flu warnings provide that excuse and cover story.
We can reverse it. Venezuelans recognized the corruption of capitalist economies, and they voted Chavez into power, and he reformed the economy to serve the most people possible, and soon all of them will be doing "okay" . WE can do the same by refusing to vote for conservative politicans. We must recognize their lies and tactics and vote them out. However, we see many elections with marginal victories, of less than 10% spread between victors and losers. These are arranged elections, and it has been done in America [twice] and in France, Russia, and Canada too. The Ukraine, and other European nations, have seen it too, but were able to protest long enough to put the rightfull winner into power.
It is an ugly world, and I am amazed at how ordinary people are sticking with their corrupt political parties - they are not the political parties of your fathers time!! Right Wing and Capitalist politics has become a criminal organisation dealing in drugs to support their politcal ambitions.
