Ernest Holmes orginally taught seminar entitled "Science of Mind", and because he was a good man and spirtually connected to the source -followers or admirers or believers created a church or spritual community based on his understanding of Universal Law. Named Church of Religious Science.
Many of the practitioners-those who do thought treatments to heal the "lower vibratory" thinking (reacting?)-or, put positively, to raise the vibrations of thought-for us to really manifest our Divine Nature - our birthright. (Higher Power for those who don't like the "G" word). In other words, ya don't got to do anything, but be your self-as you were created. Whew! That takes a load off, eh?
One particularly beautiful practitioner, who I will call Steve (since that is his name), is putting on a class at Midtown that is an experiential, symbolic, mythological class called "Path of the Buddha", Siddhartha's life and spiritual unfolding. We reinact the path of the Buddha as we discover, acknowledge, then release the tension in our "lack" conversations and THEN Viola! True Divinity of YOU and ME is "known" or "shown". Steve has been "in the conversation of wholeness" for 30 years, he is the closest to unconditional love in daily life that I have ever seen. He creates based on "feelings", he lives in the moment and he loves unconditionally. He is a fine example for me, as is Kevin our Reverend.
Powerful in their love This class will be an awakening for me, and all who attend. I am looking forward to it! It excites my imagination and curiosity.
There is another angle that really lights me up, Steve is a mentor. I will learn how to create an experiential class (juicy!) and to do "training and development" in and of a spiritual nature. This speaks to me! As always, it took me a few ganders to figure out that this is what Steve and my realtionship is about-He is a Teacher. Someone I can learn from. Huh, funny when you look at the world with these eyes-everyone is a lot of Teachers!
I am looking forward to the first class and am getting my Buddha Costume ready-All Steve's calsses are very playful and participatory. FUN! with a capital "F"! Juicy, Full of meat, something to get a grip on, heart centered, entrained, coherent. I'd like to do this for (love of) work.
HA! This quote just popped up from My Abundance Coach software-"If one's prosperity is achieved without an open heart, it still feels poor" Rick Jarow (Rick has some great tapes one called "The Anticareer Guide"-Coincidentally started me thinking about my alternative life style.
So we shall see, my spiritual community values me. They see me as whole and successful and they respect my meditative experience with SRF- deep meditations for many hours-actually I never liked it that much-it was more of a discipline that I adhered to based on being in that community. I like the free-spiritedness of SOM.
I'm positive some of the posts on my 'Quantum Intelligensia' Blog were stimulated by this class and some other activities I am exploring, all coming together in my life. The symbols, the archetypical exploration will all be part of the awareness that will make the "Path" class more richly rewarding and powerful for me! Yea!
This will be an 8-week unfolding adventure...in a safe and loving, FUN (Yea!) environment!
This post will contain more about this as the "experience" Unfolds.
