Day 2 - Winter Fast

Date: 7/22/2016 2:42:38 AM ( 8 y ) ... viewed 471 times I started my fast yesterday just bang into it, I didn't do any pre-fast winding off food or anything in particular, the couple days beforehand I had just returned from another Melbourne trip and been really exhausted and down for a day, the next day was better - & the 3rd day home in the forest I just started the fast - I had it in my mind and knew I wanted to do a three week or two week fast to revitalize and scrub off the winter chub I'd started putting on after a couple months of keeping warm, being quite lazy and eating comforting winter foods :) It was all fun, but it was time for that health kick and so I've just gone for it - bought a fridge and fruit bowl full of things to juice and started in. Its easier and easier to start fasts after so many years of doing them. I can really pretty much start one anytime I just decide to.
Yesterday went really well - drank an oj with a bit of yogurt thrown in which I've been favoring this winter - lots of vitamin C to keep the nasties away - had cups of tea, a weak milky coffee, a couple big glasses of soda water, and another small green juice made with fennel, zucchini, coriander, broccoli stems and spinach with one green apple - only got half of it because my friend took a real liking to my green juice lol!
I did a full yoga session and bullworker exercises while watching "The Pirates of Silicon Valley" - good film, with my friend, and a hot choc ecco drink with a hot water bottle to bed for a long fasting sleep with cool dreams.
Today I had meetings in town, the gov't tax time shakedown lol and that was a little tough, just took a big bottle of the oj yogurt drink and a bottle of water and hours later I've also had a weak milky wake up coffee, a tea and now drinking a fruit/veg juice of watermelon, spinach and zucchini.
It's 20 to 6 and I'm going to pop on another film and do another session of yoga along with kind of half watching that - will likely add a few weight exercises and/or kettlebells today - just going slowly and being gentle because I haven't been doing all that much consistent exercise of late, I have been doing it sometimes.... so want to use these weeks to get the daily habit up again and also add in daily bushwalks to boost my fitness up. Not good to go thru a whole winter being a tree sloth... lol.. its winter half time and I'm kicking out the sawdust :)
