April 27, 2011

I woke up feeling really good and well rested. I laid in bed listening to the radio while I thought about various things. Of course, I checked my phone, but I didn't feel down or even upset that I hadn't hear from the guy. I kind of felt odd being so indifferent to him out of my life. I passed it off as he didn't seem to wonder how I am doing or the like, so why should I waste my time with thoughts of him. The feeling that I have been having is very much like I just realized that I had lost a receipt to something, but it isn't that important to me. It has become an "Oh well" moment. LOL It is kind of new to me and I am really okay with it, which surprises me.

It was trash day, so I had to get up and get things down a bit earlier, as in the past trash day has made me run behind in my routine. I haven't had much trash, since I haven't eaten solid food in a while. LOL I guess that is one good thing about fasting. Less trash to go out, as well as less money spend on food. LOL

My breakfast was simple, a quarter of an apple and some water. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I don't want to overwhelm my body with food quite yet, so I am taking it slow. I might add something like a veggie to my food consumption if my body takes it well tomorrow. I packed my lunch and dinner (since it was so small and convenient) for the day.

Work was not too busy, but I was able to keep myself busy. I have noticed that it seems slower in the office that it has in the past, and that worries me, as the money doesn't seem to be coming in, in abundance as it used to do when I first started working in the office 11 years ago. Maybe I should start praying about possibly getting another job or maybe a better job, just in case. Today was Secretary's day, so I was curious if we could get flowers or not. The last couple years we have gotten some nice flowers and candy. It was lovely, our flowers came around 11:00 a.m. They were lovely. It was a little set of flowers and a candle. Mine ware white hydrangea flowers with some purple flowers I was not familiar with with a Lilac candle. I love Lilacs so I was really happy about that. The other secretary got a wild rose candle with flowers that were more red and yellow.

After work, I went o Lowes to see if they had any of those 0.89 cent bulb plants that I got on Saturday. I bought two more pink hyacinths, and a tulip, they had a couple of pansy flats that were only 0.71 cents so I got 4 of different colors. I love pansies! They were a little rough looking but after some sun, a good watering and some TLC, they should look much better then they did. I was at Lowes just long enough to bide some time until church at 6:30. When I got to church, I was surprised that Pastor Powell was preaching tonight. I was just a couple minutes late, and snuck and sat in the back as I usually do. We sang about 4 hymns that I am finding I really enjoy. That is probably because I listen to WEEC Christy radio station and they tend to play the older hymns, which I am learning. Pastor asked for us to share praise reports. It was slow starter, but people started to share things. I was thinking about saying that I have come back to church and haven't missed a day since I started going back again, but I keep my mouth shut. It was funny because as the Pastor was looking around, he called out my name and said that he noticed I was there. I smiled and told him that I snuck in a little bit late. LOL At the beginning of the lesson, Pastor Powell talked about a personal experience on how he tried to reach a person and show them to the way of salvation and how they rejected it. He talked about how we call come up against that but we should be discouraged or give up, as Christians it is our job to spread the Gospel to people everywhere. They pointed out how a simple woman in the Bible became a evangelist. The first thought in my head was the woman at the well and as he started talking about it, I realized I was right! Yay for me! I love that story. He pointed out various scriptures that God provided an open door to share the gospel with others and how people in the bible used that open door. It was a good service.

After church, I went and picked up some potting soil for my newest plants and for my little trees which I still haven't planted yet, but plant on doing so this week or weekend. I then went to the grocery store to pick up a couple things as I was out of strawberries and I thought I might step up my post water fast. I bought some blueberries, strawberries, some fresh broccoli, leafy greens. I thought about buying some yogurt, but I wanted to make sure which type would be the best for me in this situation, so I held off until I could look into it. I looked at the rest of the food. The salmon looked so inviting as well as the asparagus. I took my time and I got home around 9:00 a.m.

When I got home, I was really hungry so I at a little bit, and finished picking up and putting away things and getting ready for the night. I decided to move my little CD player/radio in the bathroom, as I like to have music. The CD player doesn't read the the CD well, and it will read it only if you hole the player at a weird angle, but it is still good, so I have never gotten rid of it. I have had it for a while. The CD part is clear and it is really nice. I did play good money for it and the radio still worked so I thought I would move it in the bathroom, as I wanted a loud music sound for when I took a shower. I wasn't happy that the CD player wouldn't work or I couldn't plug my MP3 player into, but at least I had something. I found a likeable radio station that would come in and tested it out by taking a shower. It will do and prevent me from having to find a radio to fit it my little wicker toiletry shelf above my toilet. I saved money this way.

I had planned on reading some of my Boundaries book, but I started reading some of my "Sarah" book. I got a text from Jason saying that he was running late, as had had a flat tire and had to walk home which took him two hours, and he just got home and to put his kids down. He said that he wanted to really talk to me but he didn't want to bug me if I wasn't up. I texted him back and said that I was just reading and I would be up for a while, so if he wanted to call he could. He texted again around 10:50 to see if I was up. I said I was. So he called and I answered it. He asked me how my day was. I told it was pretty good. He went on to tell me that he had a flat tire, and none of his friends could help him. Eric would have but he was working so he couldn't. He thought it was funny on how he helps people, yet when he needs a little bit of help, there is no one around. I told him that I understood that problem very well. People nowadays are more users then givers, so they really wear out the givers in this world.

He talked about he had to put his children to bed, so that is why it took so much time to call me. I told him I didn't have any problem with it. I understood. I asked him how old his children were. He said his boy was 2 and his little girl was 3 years old. He joked on how she was 3 but going on 30, as she think she knows everything, as she is quiet a talker. He went on to say that she knew her alphabet, could count to 50, say her alphabet in German and knew her German numbers. I was really surprised and asked him where she learned the German. He said "From me" I told him that I was impressed, because I don't to many people teaching their children to be bilingual like that. I told him that I read a lot so, all of my friends are really into learning and broadening their mind, like I am. He then asked me who my favorite Author is. I told him J.R.R. Tolkien. I told him that he wrote the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, which he knew. We talked about books for a while. He had a good collection of Stephen King, which I have read a bit of his work, and at one time I had my own collection, until I lost it to moving. He really likes reading Robin Cook, which I knew wrote medical novels like "Coma" I told him I preferred Dean Koontz if I had to read a horror/thriller.

He asked me "How do you feel about religion?" I was a little taken back by the question, because either he was told I was a born again Christian or he was honestly asking me. I evaded the question a bit by saying "what do you mean how do you feel about religion?" He said that it was a simple question. I told him it was kind of loaded question. He said "Not really. I have talked to you a bit, and I know that you are far too intelligent to give me a answer like that" I then honestly told him that I was a born again Christian and to be honest, I wasn't to to compromise my faith or my relationship with God for a man. I did it once before and my life had been a living hell. So that was my take on it. I don't really have an an issue with religion, as it is not religion to me. It is a relationship with God. I told him that I don't push my beliefs on people, but I don't hide my actions or beliefs either from others. I enjoy going to church, doing church activities, reading my Bible and I am not willing to change that part of my life for a guy. Not again. He told me that he has been in the church his whole life, but has fallen away and hasn't been in the church for the last 6 years. I told him it is never to late to start going back. He said that he really wanted to get back into the church, but he isn't certain about how to get is children into it, as it might be rough for them. He told me that his 2 year old child can be a little mean at times, and might throw crayons as someone if he isn't happy. I laughed a bit, but I told him I couldn't help him with that since I had no children of my own to give him my experience. I told him that he would have talk to his pastor about how you might help his son adjust to church life. He talked a little bit about the last relationship he was in, the mother of his children. It was an awkward situation for me, as I wasn't ready to hear things like that, but I felt for him because I knew the situation he was in in a way. It was very much like the situation that I was in with the guy. I didn't talk about my situation because I didn't want to give Jason the power of knowing that I was really hurt and he could be open to draw me in and comfort me. I learned that sharing too much gives people power over you. And I am making sure that doesn't happen again. We talked about people that don't work, and wondering how they really get by because of it. We talked about various innocent things like the news (Obama and the birther issue, Donald Trump), the Internet, etc. He told me that he really enjoyed talking to me. I told him that I enjoyed the conversation as well. He told me that when he first talked to me, if he had any inclination that I was a pill popper or was into drugs or one of those type of girls that jumped from relationship to relationship, he would have never called me back. But he believed that I was the kind of person that that he saw me as so far. I was happy to see that my honest and open personality was seen, but it made me feel a little bit uncomfortable and awkward for a couple moments. It was a very nice long conversation. It was a little bit after 1:30 a.m. when I got off the phone with him. He asked if he could talk to me again. He asked about my phone plan since I didn't seem to take calls before 9:00 p.m. I told him it just helps me save on my minutes since it has to last all month. I told him I don't get alot of calls so usually $50.00 lasts me all months. I talked about living within my means. I told him that Eric chided me for having a cheap phone. I told him that had not reason to spend a lot of money since my $20.00 phone seems to work just fine and it does the job. He understood, but he hated to burn up my minutes, but he would like to talk to me earlier then 9:00 p.m. I told him that weekends were the best since I had all day triple minutes call time. He talked about better plans, but I told him I never had a reason to change my plan since this plan has always worked for me. I did noticed that he would say something that kind of bugged me. He would say things like" I don't want to burn up your minutes, girl". It was the "girl" that bugged me. I didn't know if it was condescending to me, or it was just part of his personality like some people say "sweetie" or "Honey". All I know is that it made me feel uncomfortable about it for some reason. After I got off of the phone I decided that I would talk to my mother about it to see what her take was on it.

I quickly got to bed after I got off the phone as I had a feeling that I was going to have a long, long day tomorrow.
