I am curious how bad the snow storm is going to get. We are suppose to get it tonight, but most of the time, we never give as much a snow as they say we are going to get. I am kind of hoping that we get lots of it, since I would love to have another snow day from work. LOL
Of course, when I woke up in the morning, I looked out the window and no snow yet. Sigh. I know that it will come.
I am still wear my size 10 black pants as I don't like how my size 6 fit, but I have been wearing my size 8 crème colored small welt corduroys. I went to goodwill to see if I could find a pair of black dress pants that I like in a size so I can have them for work. The problem is that I am so picky about my pants, as well as my clothes. They can't have pleats, as they make my hips look wider as well as they make me look heavier then I actually am. I have always hated pleated pants. I did like a lovely pair of khaki flat front pants in a size 6 that I like. They fit lovely and they weren't too tight for me. I tried on pair of black pants, but they were too tight. So I still do not have a pair of black pants to wear that fit me nicely.
I didn't go out to buy things, but more or less to window shop and get out of my house for a bit. This winter is really getting to me. I don't know if it is because I am by myself again and I am used to some human interaction or it is just because I am not as active as should be. I walked through Odd Lots and saw they had a kit for a raised garden bed! That is perfect for me once the weather gets nicer. I haven't really worked much on what type of garden I want, but it is still a little bit early yet, but I will get ready for it soon, believe me!
I was a bit tired when I got home, and I realized that I haven't exercised in almost a week. That isn't good. I have done a could crunches while laying in bed, but not enough to really make a difference as an exercise routine like I was doing before. I have to make sure that I keep to some routine when it comes to exercising, because I will end up dropping it again. I have to be consistent for at least 2 weeks before it will become habit. I guess my problem is that I am not being consistent enough for it to become habit, like I would like.
I went to the grocery store to pick up a couple things, along with cat food, because I can't go home without that! I picked up something at the meat counter. I sometimes I enjoy picking up different things like seasoned chicken strips for Fajitas. I used to get a stuffed chicken breast, but I don't like the stuffing. It is too much. They had some seasoned chicken strips with green and red peppers and onions so I got a pound of it. I picked up some tortillas and some fresh salsa (which is the best, because it hasn't been cooked or canned. The deli makes it) I had a bit of fat free sour cream and cheese at home. I picked up some fresh Salmon cheap, and more veggies. I also got a good deal on some snow pea pods which I love.
My cats were happy to have their dry food, but Mekong was more interesting in what I was cooking once I started it. I cooked all of it even thought a pound of the stuff seemed like so much. While it was cooking, I put in a movie to start so I could relax a bit while my dinner was cooking. I ended up watching Ghost Rider which is my favorite. I love Nicholas Cage. Once my dinner was ready, I wrapped the fajita mix into the tortilla with a little bit of sour cream, cheese and salsa. I don't know it the mix was too heavy or I just got some really thin burrito tortillas, as they keep ripping and the fajita mixed would pour out. So I wasn't able to pick it up and eat it like I normally would. As I was trying to eat, it reminded me of one of Phil's meals that he made. He made excellent beef burritos and I really miss him and them. Dinner was good. I only have two fajitas, as it was a lot, but it was so delicious! It was a lovely change from Salmon and baked chicken breast. Usually I take chicken breast (skinless and boneless, of course) and bake in in the oven with a little bit of lemon juice and water in a covered dish. I then usually cut it up and eat with my steamed veggies. It is pretty much a simple affair for me. I like simple, as then there is nothing to get in the way of me eating unhealthy. Of course, I like to kick it up a notch, by doing something special like stir fry or making a Shepard's pie/pot pie type of meal.
While I ate, Mekong was watching me closely. She isn't a begging type of cats. None of my cats are or were. They know they don't get human food, expect as a small treat, which is very rare. I think she was more or less interested in sitting in my lap, because she tried to get in my lap once while I was eating and she freaked out, when she realized that I didn't want her on my lap because I yelled at her. Poor kitty. LOL She looked confused when looked at her next. She just wants the lap. Sometimes I dont' know what I will do with her. You either got to love you Ragdoll all the time or she will seek you out to steal the love from you. LOL.
Once I got in bed, I read some of my book, but I ended up falling asleep quickly because I can't remember what time it was when I feel asleep. All I do know it was after 9:30 p.m. when I last looked at the clock by my bed. I must have been more tired then I thought I was.
