My daily Journey to a healthier life style

February 19, 2011

I didn't get up until around 1:00 p.m. I was really tired when I got home the other night. I am not used to staying up that late, as I kind of have a routine, but it was lovely to be out and about. When I was driving home, I had a longing ache in my heart for Phil. I must be because I was so used to him coming home around 3:00 a.m. and I was always asleep. I don't know how many nights I tried to stay awake, but it was hard at times. All I have to say is that my kitties, especially Mekong was so happy to see me. They hadn't seen me since 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. LOL. I took a long shower and crawled in bed.

I really tried not to think about Phil, as his silence really makes my heart ache. He hasn't called me or even text me, other then my birthday. I know that his actions show how much he doesn't care for me. I guess it really hurts after all this time.

I laid in bed for a while and thought about what I talked to Christy about in regards to allowing my mother to move in with me. I decided that I would call my mother the next day and tell her if she really wanted to, she could live with me. Christy and I talked about it a bit, since she is the only person that I could really talk to about it. I called my mother once I got up around 1:00 p.m. She really didn't want to talk about it, and she didn't want to burden me. I just made it clear that if she wanted to, that she would move in with me. I stressed the point that she was my mother and I wanted to provide for her if she was down and out. And I do so out of love, because she is my mother and I love her very much.

So that is why I slept in as long as I did. It was nice. I got up, got dressed and left my house again! I got gas, and something to drink. I got some Zero Calorie So Be drinks and a large water take over to Christy's house so I would have something to drink (as every one over there drinks soda) when I went over to Christy's again. This time I brought my Monopoly cards and UNO cards with me, so that we could play them with the others (Christy, her boyfriend, Don, her daughter or any one else that might be there) But before I went to Christy's, I stopped by Carroll's Jewelers, to get a new battery in two of my watches and in my Pokemon Pikachu 2. I thought it would be fun to wear again, since I haven't worn it in years (around 6 years) as it was Travis'. We each had one and I lost my one day while walking around Walmart or something, so he gave me his since I enjoyed my so much. It sat on my dresser after we broke up and it would go off at 3:15 a.m. even night, which was his alarm that his break at work was starting. I left it there all these years until the battery died and I had forgotten about it until I came across it a couple weeks ago, and thought about it. I thought it might put a bit of fun back into walking as it keeps tracks of steps too, but with each step you take, you can give Pikachu “watts” as gifts or even play a guessing game with cards. So it is kind of fun, as it makes beeping noises once in a while. Can you tell I like digital gadgets that make my life a bit more fun, and less boring? LOL After I got new batteries put in, I went over to Christy's house.

I was there all day. I know that sounds really pathetic, but I guess it must be because I had nothing else to do. I did enjoy myself helping Christy prepare dinner (meatloaf, potatoes and corn). I peeled the potatoes and cut them and got the corn ready (it was from a can).

While dinner was cooking, Christy's boyfriend, Don, her son, me and her daughter went over to the school to shoot some hoops. It was still very chilly out, so I was only over there for about 20 minutes, as one of Christy's boyfriend's friends came out to play too. It was hard to have fun shooting hoops when there was only one hoop. There were three balls (one of them mine) and 6 people (plus 3 other guys, I didn't know). It was still nice to get out and get moving a bit. I allowed the guys to use my basketball, while Brianna (Christy's 15 year old daughter) and I went back over to the house.

When I got back, Christy had already got the meatloaf into the oven. She was very excited to be cooking in a oven again. I am sure that she was just happy to have a full sized apartment other then a shared bathroom and living in a sleeping room. I know that it is never easy to support one's self, but I know how glorious it is to get one's life back on track and live like other average humans. Christy told me that she had some fresh broccoli, if I wanted it, then I could have that with my dinner. I was so excited, as I would have never expected to have fresh broccoli for dinner tonight. So I got my little crown of broccoli ready for my dinner. There was still one in the crisper, but I had an idea that it probably wouldn't' be eating, since I don't think anyone eats broccoli in the house by Christy when the mood moves her. I also know that she always gives me cans of green beans, as she hates them and doesn't fix them for dinner. LOL

I had a very simple dinner with my best friend. I had a helping of meatloaf that was just delicious, a small helping of boiled potatoes (before they were mashed with butter, milk and salt) and my cut up crown of broccoli. I really savored the broccoli. After dinner, I found myself restless, and I ended up doing all the dishes. I guess it was my payoff for Christy having me over for dinner. She realized that I normally wouldn't have eaten over at her house, due to how different we eat. I think she was proud as it was her first full dinner in her house as well as it was with her friends and family. When dinner was over, I washed the dishes and picked up the kitchen, since she cooked dinner.

I am curious on how long it will take for her home to become cluttered and dirty, as it seems, from what I could see, that people do not pick up after themselves (especially her boyfriend and her children). Christy was always picking up after them or I was, as I was just as excited about her having her own apartment. I felt the same way, because having an apartment is so much different then a small trailer. It almost made me want to get my own apartment and move out of my trailer. LOL

I spend the majority of the day watching TV with my friends and reading my book. We played a couple cards games, but soon no one wanted to play any longer. They would rather play video games or sit on the cell phone so they can chatting online. It seems horrible that I wasn't more active then I would have liked to. At least I did get a little action in with playing basketball. I think a lot of it is, that I enjoy being in the company of others, other then sitting home alone. Don't get me wrong. I love having my own time and being alone, but I can only deal with so much loneliness. I guess I enjoy the company, that I allow myself to be bored with that type of actions from my friends. Christy is on her phone a lot, while her boyfriend, her friends and her son are playing video games. Christy does watch movies, but the majority she is on her phone. You can say that my friend Katie was the same way, either on her phone or on her computer, that I felt a bit ignored. I don't feel too ignored by Christy, because she at least talks to me and shares new ringtones with me, while I sit there reading my book or watch a movie. I can't wait until it gets a bit warmer so I can go out and play (ride my bike, play basketball, etc).

I wonder how the rest of my weekend is going to be like since I have it off on Monday, February 21, 2011.
