I was able to eat what I planned to eat for Dinner on October 29, 2010. It was so delicious. I think that I will continue eating Fresh Spring mix once I am off my fast. It really fills me up. I was really surprised that a little bit of vinegar really dressed it up a bit, so it wasn't plain. I really liked it.

I didn't do much exercise on Friday night, as I was a bit stressed out. Worrying about P. and him moving out. He hasn't said anything to me and I haven't seen where he is preparing. My mother says that he probably won't move out. So I spent Friday evening over at my best friend's house for while,since P. is never home to spend it with me. It was a huge temptation when I went into Mickey D's with her. Everything looked so great, but I kept telling myself that just because it looks good, that is the dangerous part. I know that it is horrible for me and my heath.

But I did it! I avoided temptation by telling myself over and over again, “That it isn't good for me and it doesn't taste as good as it looks. It is all a ploy to get me to buy it and eat it.”

MY GRATEFUL LIST FOR OCTOBER 29, 2010:

1.I am grateful that I have supportive friends to help me with healthy eating and way of life even though my best friend kept saying “I am a fat chick and it is my job”
2.I am grateful that I have a working car and means to get around town, other then walk (when I should do more walking! LOL)
3.I am grateful for delicious healthy food the fill my tummy, when I know that young children are not getting nutrious meals to satisfy their hunger pain. I am very blessed.
4.I am grateful that God as urged me to fast, and change my life so I might live healthier and hopefully live longer by doing so.
5.I am grateful for the wonderful smells that the Autumn season brings.

My diet for Saturdy was going great! I really have been watching what I have been eating and staying active, which is wonderful.

MY FOOD LOG FOR OCTOBER 30, 2010

BREAKFAST: One cup of beans and rice with skinless chicken breast ( Left overs - I made it on Thursday) 440 Calories

Lunch was a problem, as I was on the go (a bit of window shopping to keep myself busy), and I didn't pack anything. I stopped into Kroger and bought everything for my lunch in about 20 minutes, after really deciding what I wanted. It was pretty easy!

LUNCH: Fresh Express Spring greens (3 cups), 20 Calories; Skinless chicken breast, 90 Calories; Raspberries (a handful), 60 Calories, Balsamic vinaigrette spray (10 squirts), 10 Calories and one string cheese stick, 90 calories TOTAL: 270 calories

DRINK: McDonald's Sweet tea (I only drank half of 16 ounce cup. My best friend bought it for me, when she got she something to drink), 200 calories

DINNER: Fresh Express Spring greens (3 cups), 20 Calories; Skinless chicken breast, 90 Calories; Raspberries (a handful), 60 Calories, Balsamic vinaigrette spray (10 squirts), 10 Calories TOTAL: 180 calories

I have to say that the Spring green mix, chicken breast and raspberries was so wonderful, I will have to remember that combo when I am off of my water fast. In the future, I might at a couple nuts for a bit of a crunch.

HALLOWEEN SNACK: One 8 ounce roll of Smarties, 25 Calories

NIGHTTIME SNACK: one Granny smith apple, 60 calories

GRAND TOTAL:1,175 calories!

I did it again! I am doing so well with watching what I eat. I am so proud of myself, because it is very hard, especially when I really want to stuff myself because of how I am feeling. I feel that I am controlling something that feels uncontrollable: My ending relationship and how he treats me. I got a Calorie book on Friday at the local book store which . I read that emotional eating happens, because a person feel empty and wants to feel whole and full, so a person will tend to eat and eat, until they feel full. At least now I know why I am doing what I am doing and can do something about it.

I walked with my best friend, and her family (her sisters and their children as well) when they took their children Trick or Treating. I think I walked about 5 miles along just doing that. We went all over the place. I was in charge of 3 of the oldest children (the oldest being one day shy of being 8 years old), so I was running after them as they went to the next house, and then the next house, without waiting for the younger and slower children behind them.

I walked a total of 8.42 miles for the whole day. Boy was I tired. I was really glad that I ate my dinner before I went out walking at 5:30 p.m.

MY GRATEFUL LIST:

1.I am grateful that I am part of a much larger family then I realize
2.I am grateful that I am able to walk on my own two feet
3.I am grateful that my best friend shares her life and her family with me, as she knows I do not have one of my own.
4.I am grateful for the wonderful sights I saw, as many other groups of people were out with their families. It was a wonderful thing to see.
5.I am grateful for my life and that I can enjoy it as I have been.

Tomorrow is the big day!



OCTOBER 31, 2010

Today is the first day of my fast! So far it has been going good so far, but I did wake up to find myself a little dehydrated, so I drank 8 ounces of water right off the bat.

I had no urge to eat anything until later on, when settled down, as I was quiet active over the day (window shopping, looking at books at a books store, driving around to see new sights). When I got home, I drank over 16 ounces of water to counteract my hunger pains. I told myself over and over again “I will eat again. I will eat again.” so I stopping thinking about food and worrying about wanting to eat something because of the hunger pains.

My evening was pretty boring, as I all I did was watching/listen to movies and read books in bed. It was pretty simple and uneventful.

Tomorrow will be the harder thing to tackle.
