Day Twelve
A personal journey to health and freedom through water fasting
Date: 6/7/2010 2:42:38 PM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1692 times It couldn't get any better... 8 hours of sleep last night! Uninterrupted... No waking up for no reason, no sudden trips to the potty four times a night (as well as, no bouncing cat--locked her on the back porch, and no rumbling truck noises--discovered earplugs). Only pure, blissful, glorious sleep.
Can you tell I have had insomnia for a while?
Now, if someone had told me a month ago, "Having trouble sleeping? Try fasting for 12 days, that'll clear it up!" I would have thought they were off-balance. And yet, here I am, enjoying another night's sleep. Oh, you SO take sleep for granted, until suddenly you are up all night and feel like garbage the next day. And the next, and the next, and the next...
Had a really strenuous day today. Had to start cleaning out the basement, moving and stacking heavy boxes, pulling things out for a tag sale, going up and down stairs repeatedly, and doing a ton of laundry. Not feeling weak, really, so much as a little nauseated. I think more than anything, my sense of smell is picking up and I am reacting to the moldy, smelly basement. But I haven't had any troubles doing the work yet.
Haven't worn my glasses all day. I just realized that...
Also started cleaning out my closet and changing over the wardrobe. No, not a seasonal change, but a size change. I have already gone down one size. And I have boxes of new clothes (from the basement) in every size contingency. (Something in me told me I would do this extended fast one day. Pays to be prepared!) So, good-bye old frumpy turtlenecks and moleskin pants! I am ruthlessly replacing you! And just so you don't try to weasle your way back into my heart and closet, I am taking you all to the tag sale, along with the really tacky Christmas decorations and the solid pine TV trays.
More later...
