Day Six
A personal journey to health and freedom through water fasting
Date: 6/1/2010 12:38:09 PM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 1356 times Day of Atonement today. I have decided not to weigh in every day, not because I'm not curious, but I resolved to make this fast not about losing the weight. True, obesity is a disease, and a precursor to a host of chronic diseases that affect modern man...diabeties, heart disease, cancer... That should really qualify it as a priority on my quest for healing in my body...
But five days have passed since I started, so I have a duty to journal the transformation...
Beginning weight: 242 lbs
Today's weight: 226 lbs
Have to admit that is a record, even for me. My only thought is that I was carrying some really serious water weight that got flushed out. That's most likely the case because recently I discovered sea salt. Oh man! I am in love. I've always been a salt-aholic, and since I have really low blood pressure naturally, I never have restricted salt in my diet. But man! Sea salt tastes so much better than table salt (stronger, richer). Plus its got all these "good for you" minerals in it that are probably deficient in the American daily diet. It's a win-win situation for me! Except, I use a whole heck of a lot of it. Most people would gag on my "healthy" steamed veggies and spit them out!
Well, you can't please everyone...
Nothing much else to report today. Discovered my favorite tea is an appetite stimulant (Roasted Dandelion Root) so I will be forced to drop it... At least until this journey is over.
More later...
