Levity For The Laity
Personal reflections on an apparent coincidence of events that got me a thinking and a-musing!
Date: 1/27/2010 1:14:04 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 2218 times The student Intern who has been giving me acupuncture since the Fall had left me a message on my voice mail this morning saying she wouldn't be coming into school today. She also sent me an e-mail. (I replied to that later saying she is the most conscientious Intern I have know at that school!)
I called the school to ask what they planning now for my appointment and (as I expected) they said they had someone else available to fill in. To make a longer story shorter - in my session with the new intern I learned that she is a Mormon. We had a pleasant conversation on and around that fact. I also mentioned having known a lady who came from a Mormon family. I said she is a psychology professor and probably had reasoned her way out of the LDS church. (The Intern made no comment about that!) Now that I think about it the "professor" had a lot to say about her former life as a Mormon and that included the Mormon beliefs about sex and the "hereafter"! For whatever it may be worth I am imagining that she could do stand-up on the sex life of Mormons! I am starting to laugh! I just may have to research whether that's been done before (in which case I may be returning here)!
Just moments ago I opened an e-mail that is offering a program on awakening intuition. I instantly thought of the professor as she was finishing her doctorate thesis on woman's intuition when she was last in communication with me. I thought I might forward the e-mail to her at least as an "FYI". However, since she had communicated to me that she was letting go of our friendship I had to ask myself why send it? Then the idea that I could blog about this came to me!
It is very interesting to me that I had a new Intern today and that when she mentioned having a sister in Utah that I asked if her sister was Mormon. That's when the Intern said she was Mormon as well. It is perfectly natural that I had further conversation with the intern and then made some mention of the Mormon (professor) that I had known. I think that would have pretty much been the end of thinking about the ex-Mormon lady had I not found the offer re: intuition in my e-mail! Reading that offer really got me thinking about whether I wanted to contact someone who politely excused them self from continuing a friendship with me. My question now is: Could my mental "review process" be apropos to the Saturn Retrograde that is now in effect (and continues until May 30th)?
Saturn rules teachers and it also rules "walls"! I'm beginning to smile now! In fact I'm starting to laugh! If there is a "wall" that has been erected by the professor ... then as far as I am concerned now she is welcome to it! I'm not the one with a wall and therefore I conclude that I don't have a wall to review! Her wall is not my wall! I'm smiling about that! If her wall serves her than may she have a wall'n good time with it! I'm having a blast without a wall!
When I first thought of blogging this I had the idea that in the event that someone else reads this who knows exactly who I'm talking about could send the following link to the professor. ... However, now that I have thought this through ...
that really doesn't matter to me! My life is meaningful and fulfilling without trying to surmount someone else's walls!
