Day One - 10st 3.8lbs (28.8lbs to go)
Back again!
Date: 11/6/2009 6:22:34 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 2532 times Yesterday (Thursday, November 5th 2009) I started juicing again and yes, I shall keep returning as long as I am juicing!
My weight has been 10st+ in the last couple of months which is not really great, seeing that I have recently been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS). It was upsetting, seeing that I am 29 next month, and wanted to start a family some time next year.
It's not as bad at the moment, but the key thing is to keep my weight down, and to nourish myself properly, and juicing is the way to do this in my book.
So, I am back once again, and will be starting on a 3-day juice fast to get me back in the game! It's only 3 days seeing as this weekend will be tough with a couple of invites.
7.30am weighed in at 10st 3.8lbs (143.8lbs)
11 oranges and one grapefruit made about 750ml of juice.
10am breakfast at office - 1 cup of green tea
12pm brunch - 250ml juice
2pm lunch - 250ml juice
4pm afternoon - 125ml juice
7pm dinner - 125ml juice
I came home in the evening and weighed 10st 2.3lbs (142.3lbs) - a loss of 1.5lbs in the space of 14 hours. Not bad, not bad at all.
The symptoms I had throughout the day were fatigue more than anything. I wasn't hungry, which was quite amazing. I mixed the juices with water, and drank that throughout the day.
Went to bed at 10.30pm, and slept relatively well. Felt a bit cold, seeing as my body didn't have much fuel to burn.
My target will be in 5 stages. The first fast will be a 3-day fast and is to get me under 10 stone. I must maintain this when I am eating normally, and then start the second fast.
Target 1 = 9st 13lbs (139lbs) -4.8lbs
Target 2 = 9st 6lbs (132lbs) -11.8lbs
Target 3 = 8st 13lbs (125lbs) -18.8lbs
Target 4 = 8st 7lbs (119lbs) -24.8lbs
Target 5 = 8st 3lbs (115lbs) -28.8lbs
I know it is bad to stop and start fasting, stop and start fasting, but I will use this as a kick-start to my healthier living, and might even carry on after the 3 days depending on how I go. I re-read my previous blogs as inspiration, and managed 11 days last year. Will try and do the same this year, and more...
