Introducing Peggy Sprague
From time to time, we publish special newsletters when they highlight something we believe is worthwhile and of importance. As many of you know, Diana and I are also photographers and we were asked by Ambassadors for Humanity and Airline Ambassadors to document their mission to two orphanages in Mexico.

Celebrating Humanitarian Heroes
As founder of Ambassadors for Humanity I have always been impressed with the level of passion for service that individuals have in their hearts. I personally believe that every human has either developed their inner desire to ‘Make a Difference’ or there lies dormant a spark that is waiting to ignite. Within our collective society we are discovering a new respect and dignity as we extend true compassion for every person on the planet.
These are wondrous and yet challenging times. We are faced with the most significant economic issues impacting the health, wellness, and safety of all children and families. Gone is the time when need hits only distant shores. There is call to each person to take a stand and make a difference for mass positive change.
In most societies people are inherently drawn to a passion for service. Within our families and ‘inner circles’ we inherently demonstrate our compassion. For every child, teen or adult that has been given unconditional acts of love and kindness we are assisting their growth, demonstrating how heartfelt contributions can be the catalyst to create thriving families and communities.
But to make a real change within our communities and the world at large we must yield to the need of the ‘whole’; to contribute and make a difference in the lives of Humanity outside of our inner circle of family and friends.
At some point most everyone has a yearning to do something significant; something that will shift the devastation as we read articles or watch documentaries of the poverty stricken areas of our own communities and of the world; yet what can you do? The most common action is to feel sad; and with no structured goal or direction, we ‘stuff’ our sadness and then go about our day.
The sadness lies within us and it builds.. it affects our health and the health of humanity. This vicious cycle denies the ‘heart of giving’; keeping us from the contribution that feeds your soul and transitions abundance for your community.
How do we get out of this cycle of only yearning to contribute.. How can you make a difference on a larger scale outside of your inner circle? What can you as one person do?
VOLUNTEER .. JUST DO IT.. volunteer for anything that speaks to you.
Decide what makes your heart ache when you hear the need. Is it the needs of the environment, hungry children, violence and abuse, animal needs, orphaned children, war veterans.. If your heart strings have been pulled more than once by a particular calling.. then Google it on the internet and find that need in your community or find it within a charitable organization and VOLUNTEER.
You can volunteer to read to the elderly in a retirement home, pick up trash at the beach, file papers for an animal shelter or help at a day care… participate in a fundraiser or you can go on a structured mission through a non profit organization. There are Structured missions that allow you to volunteer your services and donate to a worthy cause while you experience your contribution. Although writing a check for a worthy cause is a wonderful humanitarian contribution, you do not feel your contribution as a ‘hands on’ act.
I believe it is within the act of kindness that real changes occur.
In this world of giving we may not have the exact roadmap or our own specific direction of how to contribute. But please do not just let your spark of compassion lie dormant waiting to ignite. Reach out and open your heart , find your passion and then put your Compassion into Action through your VOLUNTEER efforts.. Let’s celebrate each act of unconditional love and become Ambassadors for Humanity. Let’s celebrate ONE HUMANITY as each individual extends their compassionate acts of contribution within their own community and to the world!
