It's been a while... time to try again
Need another outlet to pour out my frustrations
Date: 8/11/2009 3:39:56 PM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 1384 times I just sumbled upon my old blogs here. and my unsuccessful attempts of dieting while on the european vacation (what was I thinking!).
Anyhow, it's now 2 years later. I am 34 and put on another 10 Lbs, so at 6 feet i am at 190-191, which is plainly outrageous.
In the 2 years i didn't diet, though I have increased my exercise levels, taking up biking (so I blame all these leg muscles for the 10 Lbs extra).
I went to the doctor for my regular check up recently, and even though he found me extremely healthy and all that, the BMI calculation came out on the lower end of overweight, and he told me to lose weight.
Wow. Seriously. I knew i had to lose, my friends told me i should, my husband. but now a completely strange man!
Anyhow, think i need to do something about it, and I am about to start now.
I want to get back to the 135-140 range I enjoyed 10 years ago (before my marriage). I recently purchased Dr Cabot's book on liver-cleansing diet, which has an 8 week plan. So i think i will embark on it fully starting Monday, August 17. Why? Because i think my problem is in my liver's ability to process fat.
The 8 week plan is easy:
- no read meat, no fried stuff, no caffeine, no alcohol and no sugars. Plus the juicing (which i love doing anyway).
I think it would be easier for me to sustain, as my job is quite demanding and i can basically bring my food from home and not go out to lunch / dinners. Anyway. I don't want to get overly optimistic, but starting Monday, i might pop in here to report on the progress.
