Some thoughts on "master cleanse" and my own approach
thoughts on master cleanse and my own "intorductory" theory

It's like by the time you are ready to do this master cleanse, you are probably in your late 20s and early 30s and have not been healthy exactly in your habits (but nothing serious, i mean, you are still young and don't have any serious conditions). So, with that - you can endure that "master cleanse". But this is a shock therapy - and I am sure, for someone slightly older and more frail, this can cause more damage, or at least - be quite painful and not too useful. The idea of "dumping the toxins" and "flushing them out of your body" sounds like a toilet lingo. I have been abusing my body, it's tired, yes, but I wouldn't refer to it in those terms. My body is not a toilet. I down need to flush it.
I think the idea of master cleanse is not for me, and for all people who happily read on about someones strange feces and awful odors. well, what can you expect if you are mistreating your body with salt water enemas, laxatives and virtually starving it. The idea of cleansing is appealing, but to me the "shock therapy" approach more like ripping the skin off the wound. or running the marathon without the proper training. I think i would do it differently. at least the master cleanse stage (the starvation, the salt water, etc) should be the middle stage. Not the stage someone dives into right after the New Years Party.
I think one should test one's body, as well as mind first. There is no "secret ingredient" to health. We all know what we need to do and how we need to eat. As I said, this is all in the willpower. And also, it should not only be about what you put inside of your stomach, but also, what you put in your mind, on your skin, what you see, what you feel and what you think. The master cleanse is a stress to ones body and mind, I am not sure it is for everyone. It is certainly not for me.
I need an intro stage, a preparation time, stage I so to speak.
Here's what I want to try with regards to the "what I put inside" part during the stage 1 (in a nutshell - I will use the remainder of this vacation week to devise a more detailed plan):
2 days - healthy diet - no meat, no dairy, no sugars (and of course, no tobacco, caffeine or alcohol, no white breads. But plenty of salads, and even olive oil.(this is a typical "fasting" for Eastern Orthodox christians - I once did only 20 days of this and felt the fat around my waste literally "melting")
2 days - vegetable juice only (key components: tomatoes, carrots, celery and beet root - beet root is a powerful blood cleansing vegetable, but very potent too - so needs to be diluted). Maybe sour apples. No sweet fruts. Definitely no oranges.during this stage the blood will be cleansed and major organs like liver and kidneys can finally start "doing their jobs" properly and get to those deposits that they could not deal with before.
2 days - lemon water only (this is like the master cleanse). If you have had a healthy digestion before, there is no need for any laxatives or enemas - your body will do the work and eliminate the toxins. Laxative dehydrate the body, dehydration causes headaches, confusion, etc. Not to mention the stress to the kidneys. At this stage you can help your body more naturally - steam room (and forget deodorants on that stage) is the best. But not too long and not too hot. The toxins leave your body not only through your *ss and pee - there are millions of pores that serve that purpose. Just drink water and sweat to expedite everything.
2 days - vegetable juice - gradually introducing nutrients to the system which is now fragile and weak. In day one - dilute all juice with water 50/50 - as the lining of the stomach is gentle and a bit irritated.
2 days - back to healthy diet. after that - see the results.
in total - short introductory 10 days cycle, during which one can introduce the next stage gradually, teaching your body, leading it - and not ripping through it with some barbarian starvation methods, enemas and laxatives.
Yes, the weight loss won't be great, I suppose, but this is not only about the weight loss, it is about restoring the functions of organs responsible for fat burning - liver, of course, kidneys, arteries, etc). It would be stupid to assume that one can melt 8 year old fat deposits with just 10 days of total starvation. No, stage one as above (10 days) is designed to change the mind set first and foremost, and then distress the organs, give them a 2 week vacation, so to speak.
I will document stage 1 as it worked for me, on my own example in this journal. Which I will resume in Monday in a week. This stage one will run from Monday - September 10 till Wednesday September 19th.
