Maple syrup sales surge- everyone is doing the master cleanse

Picking up where I left off, I went to Whole Foods and they were sold out of some of the things I needed for my master cleanse. It seems everyone in NYC is doing the master cleanse. The salesperson even asked me why everyone is buying maple syrup. Another clerk had to go into the stock room to get me Senna tea. (I am no longer drinking Smooth Move see previous blog) The next day I went to a health food store looking for Shady Farm maple syrup. The guy tried to sell me a 'better than MC' kit for $50. I think it was called super cleanse or better cleanse. Apparently it's quite popular. He tells me everyone in NYC is doing it. (What is grade C maple syrup anyway?) So I made it through Day 2, but not easily. I ended up at a mexican restaurant with a date who said they had to eat or they would pass out. Of course I had said please eat earlier without me because I'm fasting. It's one thing to have to go to an event or a party and fast, it's another when it's just the two of you. Day 3 is coming to a close and I seem to have less energy than previous fasts. It's funny how we remember the fast from the past. Good luck to all.
