My clock is off... but I'm almost past day 1
I really wish that more people would realize that they are strong too - with just even attempting or pondering a step in the healthy direction.

I haven't had too much in the way of wanting to eat today. I think blogging and reading fast related/positive literature has helped.
I woke up with some allergies, but they have disappeared over the course of the day. I'm pretty energetic and happy. (Not grouchy! yay!) All in all, a pleasant first day - which is not what I usually have.
I've been realizing lately what a strong person I am - just from the past, some other aspects of my life and then just being able to do a fast at all. (I really wish that more people would realize that they are strong too - with just even attempting or pondering a step in the healthy direction). Realizing this has been helpful in focusing. We are bombarded with so much - commercials on tv, fast food on every street corner, people with good intentions that want us to eat the new "in" healthy fad, perhaps our upbringing. . . It's hard to stand up to these things and choose wellness.
Perhaps this is when I follow through the fast the most. When I feel strong. When I forget it, then I succumb to the food. Physiologically, I do not need it right now - I could totally hibernate and be okay. (Sounds like a nice idea since it's a bit chilly right now)
Looking forward to day two . . .
