”A huckleberry never reaches Boston;
they have not been known there since
they grew on her three hills.
The ambrosial and essential part of the fruit
is lost with the bloom which is rubbed off
in the market cart,
and they become mere provender.
As long as Eternal Justice reigns,
not one innocent huckleberry
can be transported
thither from the country’s hills.”

I have been thinking that the garden is a lonely place.
I went out today after sending emails to the
EG Friends, and spent a gob of gas
going all the way to La Costa Ave.
On the way home I stopped in to see
Leslie Gelles and Nuva Yeetah,
my master Ayurvedacharya.
I was mainly feeling lonely and I
like the vibe at this Encinitas office.
Leslie, who books appointments,
got me in to see the man who
knows these herbs. My kidneys
have been in a sustained dull to
mild discomfort and I do not want to

Had a Revelation
af few weeks ago--
We Choose to live in Heaven
or Hell.
The Universe is asking us to live in
joy, but most of us refuse.
I was at a workshop/potluck with Amatra.
It was in the late afternoon/early eve.
There were a number of folks there
who I could see had retreated from
the madness of the Hell we make for
ourselves.
One was a woman who was living
at Questhaven, where the Angels hang out
a lot. She let go of her painful existence
that was not working.
Another man, surrendered what he was doing

Hi Leslie,
Thank you for taking the time to send a personal note.
You’ re welcome, M! My pleasure!
I am very excited to grow the Job’s Tears seeds. Many years ago, when I was a little girl, my mother told me the story of Job’s Tears. She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary each day until she died in October 2005.
She was buried with her beloved rosary.

Earth Day History--San Diego.
Chris Klein remembers the history
of the first San Diego Earth Day on
the Earthworks web site.
Here is a bit of history about
the first drum circle at the first
San Diego Earth Day, one of the
largest Drum Circles the city had
up to that point. I read a poem in
that Drum Circle and was one of the instigators
of this Earth Day special event that
featured many different happenings.
“If the environment is a fad,
then it’s going to be our last fad. ...
We are building a movement,
a movement with a broad base,
a movement which transcends political boundaries.
It is a movement that values people more than technology,
people more than political boundaries, people more than profit.”
