Re: hemangioma of the liver (very large)

About eight years ago I also was diagnosed with a very large hemangioma of the liver. After many tests and finally determining that it was not cancer, my doctor told me I was "probably born with it". I haven't had any problems with it, but have my liver enzymes checked every year to be sure there isn't anything out of order. My doctor told me to never allow anyone to take a biopsy of my liver or I would bleed to death - grim thought . . . also, don't take any sharp jabs to the liver area or it could rupture, cause internal bleeding and ultimate death - there's that word again. Needless to say I've learned to live with it, but had to give up kick-boxing. :) Tweet
