NOOO! Don't let one experience turn others away from what might help them!

I am sorry to hear that your "bestie" had problems, but I would hate to see his experience be used as a universal yardstick that prevented the many people who might benefit, as others have. I would even go so far as to say that he should not give up trying because persistent daily use of Colloidal Silver might be able to not only slow down or even stop COPD, it might actually reverse it - tough it may take a very long time, as was the case here at CZ with one person who eliminated their COPD after two years of diligent nebulizing with Colloidal Silver .

With really bad COPD, nebulizing may be difficult at first due to the build-up of fluid and other "gunk" in the lungs. The same is true for severe congestion from from bronchial infections and asthma. Until the congestion is lessened, one should not overdo nebulizing because it could initially result in even more fluid in the lungs and could potentially be dangerous. However, that does not mean one should not nebulize at all.

Perhaps a good plan would be to try to get some of the gunk out with minimum nebulizing at first and then increase the nebulizing until one is able to nebulize with a full treatment three times daily. If it were me, I would take two capsules of the extra strength version of an outstanding Chinese herbal formula known as ClearLungs. It has 14 different herbs which all have eneficial properties for the lungs and healing. I have used it many times and it usually really brings the gunk out helps clear up bronchial infections and congestion. Here is a list of the herbs contained in ClearLungs and brief descriptions of their beneficial properties:

Hoelen – Balances fluids and supports healthy respiratory membranes.
Dong Quai – Tonic and blood builder.
Ophiopogon – Balances fluids, supports healthy respiratory membranes.
Scute – Supports healthy tissue.
Platycodon – Supports a healthy immune system.
Citrus – Supports the lungs and circulatory system.
Morus Root – Supports normal tissue repair.
Fritillary – Supports normal tissue repair.
Chinese Asparagus root – Supports proper lung function.
Almonds – Supports proper fluid balance.
Gardenia – Supports proper lung and liver function.
Schizandra – Helps support normal mucus secretion.
Licorice – Supports the adrenal glands.

Allow me to try to help your "bestie" and tell you what I know about COPD and what I would do to treat it if I had it:

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease characterized by progressive airflow limitations caused by an abnormal inflammatory reaction to the chronic inhalation of particles. The more familiar terms 'chronic bronchitis' and 'emphysema' are no longer used, but are now included within the COPD diagnosis. Mainstream medicine says that COPD is not fully reversible, but like many other condition, that is only true when using mainstream medicine as the only treatment option. The fact is that COPD has been and can be reversed with natural treatments, though it may not be easy and may take a prolonged time for complete success.

When it comes to COPD, two major problems are air and fluid pockets known as blebs and bullae. Pulmonary blebs, or blebs, are small blister-like thin walled air pockets that form on the surface of the lung. If they rupture, they allow air to escape into the pleural space (a spontaneous pneumothorax) which puts pressure on the lungs. Left unchecked, ruptured blebs can cause the lungs to collapse.

A bulla (plural bullae) is a larger abnormal blister-like or bubble-like cavity filled with air and/or fluid, particularly serous fluid. Serous fluid is a pale yellow and transparent fluid which fills cavities in the body and is normally benign. However, with COPD the excessive build-up of serous fluid in bullae puts additional pressure on the lungs, and, more criticially, takes up space and prevents the lungs from being able to take in enough oxygen.

I am not sure that you can ever get rid of all the blebs and bullae, but with persistent and consistent efforts you should be able to get rid of enough of them and heal your lungs to the point of regaining full lung function. There are many reports of success against COPD using various treatments and herbs. One report on one of the internet's most popular alternative healing websites, CureZone, detailed how a man was able to reverse his COPD entirely by consistently nebulizing multiple times a day with Colloidal Silver for almost two years.

With really bad COPD, nebulizing may be difficult at first due to the build-up of fluid and other "gunk" in the lungs. The same is true for severe congestion from from bronchial infecions and asthma. Until the congestion is lessened, one should not overdo nebulizing because it could initially result in even more fluid in the lungs and could potentially be dangerous. If I had COPD, in addition to taking the ClearLungs capsules three times daily I would also nebulize three times daily with colloidal silver, mullein extract, lobelia extract and the liquid version of ClearLungs and use 5 parts colloidal silver to 1 part mullein, 1 part lobelia and 1 part ClearLungs. That combo is going to REALLY bring the gunk out, so much so that you may have to work your way up to the amount nebulized and the number of times you nebulize each day - but hang in there, it will be well worth it. The combo will also help greatly in healing the lungs. Besides the healing properties of ClearLungs, colloidal silver is a wonderful healer for damaged lungs.

I would also take kots of digestive enzymes, including serrapeptase, three times daily on an empty stomach. I suggest at least 6 quality all around digestive enzymes 1 or 2 500mg bromelain capsules and 1 or 2 high potency Serrapeptase. Digestive enzymes in quantity multiple times a day dissolve scar tissue (fibrin) and appear to reverse blebs and bullae. If you can just get rid of the fluid and air pockets and lung scar tissue that is a great start.

Some of the best all around digestive enzyme products are: Garden of Life's outstanding OmegaZymes, W-Zymes Xtra Recovery Zymes, Synergy's Mega Digestive Enzymes or Univase Forte Proteolytic Enzymes. Note that some of those can be quite pricey, which is why I opt for Recovery Zymes when money is tight (otherwise I would chose the OmegaZymes).

In addition to digestive enzymes, I would also take plenty of MSM, which is great for healing, and I would take a couple of capsules twice daily of the supplement OxyActin. In addition to containing CoEnzyme Q10 (CoQ10), Oxyactin contains anaerobic oxygen. Each capsule contains the equivalent amount of oxygen as 6 drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). People who suffer from COPD also usually suffer from fatigue, often severe fatigue, largely as a result of being unable to take in and absorb adequate amounts of oxygen.

Virtually everyone I know who has taken OxyActin reports a noticable boost in energy, no doubt in great part due to getting increased oxygen into the bloodstream.

I have seen a number of other items recommended for COPD, including black seed oil and cannabis oil. I have very high regards for both of those, but have limited knowledge of their use against COPD. Either or both might be well worth a try.

So there you have it - and I hope this information helps.

My best to you and your "bestie",

DQ
