Depression is much more complicated than that. Most people have it since their youth. For 40 years I used drugs and that helped but eventually you might end up with side effects. It may be adrenal,though I do supplements for it...but I am currently low on work and trying to look for things. But I get discouraged thinking what an uphill battle it is job searching,especially with the odds against me due to the bad economy and not enough jobs to start with,employers are as picky as ever and with my job history etc I’m not exactly the ideal candidate. I agree that all the money in the world can’t make you happy. I commend you for taking a huge paycut to do something that you enjoyed doing. I would have finish my degree more than 10 yrs ago had I not been hooked up on money. You are right on about a lot of very important things. It is often those who make sacrifice that eventually get ahead. I also was a computer programmer for a number of years as well as a design engineer. While I did enjoy that and made well over twice what I make now, I like what I am doing to help people. I need a little advice as I believe I suffer from anxiety though I haven’t been diagnosed, I just suppose I do. I really have grown to hate my job.
