Well actually, stuttering is not a disease or an illness, but it is a neurological disorder. A disorder is a mental disability, but stuttering can be successfully overcame. Do you stutter when you are alone? I don’t and never have. If it was a parasite or some external factor we would stutter all the time. Stuttering to me is a state of mind. Hey thanks very much for your replies. With regards to the tooth chart I measured up to two individual teeth that relate to the liver, gallbladder and biliary ducts. That’s pretty interesting to know if its true. I have so far done 4 liver flushes and will continue to do them for another year or so. However as I have just experienced heightened symptoms with the start of a new very stressful job I am focusing on the adrenals. I used to studder when I was about 6 years old (or was that just the stress of being the flunky in a dysfunctional family?). Anyway, I think most stuttering is from intense concentration and being overconcerned (self-conscious) about your opinions being accepted by EVERYONE (opposite of being opiniated), in other words, always worrying about being politically correct and that shallow people will criticize. I know this fantastically gifted art professor - he is just amazingly talented and really knowlegable with regard to theory and practice. The problem is this: he has the most debilitating stammer that I’ve ever seen. When we talk, I want to encourage him to express himself without seeming to patronize his crippling condition. I tend to talk fast, and do stutter at certain words at times. This has improved greatly after having all the metal fillings replaced from my teeth. It seems the mercury in the metal fillings had been the cause of alot of extra nerve tension and over-stimulus most of my life that I took for granted as being normal. I once stuttered when I was younger. I was never challenged as to a preferrered body side or inclination, I was always right-handed. Interesting theory about left-handedness though, all over the world, and since the beginning of history (maybe before), left-handedness had a stigma (negative reputation). Hi Ev: I’m no expert but I’m guessing there are many causes. I do know that my brother-in-law (52 yrs.) had stuttered most of his life until he took special therapy to control it about 15 years ago. They traced it back to the fact that he was born left-handed but was trained/forced by his parents to use his right hand as a baby. I don’t know if the stress of this event caused his stuttering or if his brain function was modified by the force of becoming right handed as a baby caused the stuttering. Anne   [End]
