chewing grass is great. it will even reduce tooth aches. if you study the old testament kosher laws the meats that were okay to eat all came from animals that chewed the cud, ie they regurgitated the grass they just ate and re chewed it. this flooded their system with enzymes and killed parasites and bacteria in the intestinal track. not suggesting regurgitation! but if you chew the wad of grass like a cow chews it cud, it will have a similar affect on your digestive system. and yes, your gums will love it too.
