Re: I agree with you!
Yes, and the funny thing is that there is not one person in any of the fasting forums has shared an experience of keeping the weightloss after a fast. I think fasting is great for clearing some negative addictions, coffe, sugar, smoking etc...but unless one has a prepared determined plan after the fast, well you are right back where you were. Fasting is great for a period of self reflection, being in touch with our bodies, our spiritual selves. Yet, time and time again I read people that want to fast for weightloss. You have to eat small and exercise if you want to lose weight! FASTING IS NOT FOR WEIGHTLOSS!
However if you want to start on a weightloss program and want to clear up your mind and some toxins, it is a great pre- requisite provided you go on a weighloss program right after. I have fasted many, many times and not once was I able to keep the weight off. I eventually learned the hard way, and ate less and healthier and exercised and lost weight. This yo-yo fasting and binging is awfull to the body!
People don't become obese overnight why do they expect to lose it all overnight?
It is really sad that most people do not fast for the great spiritual renewal fasting provides and instead count minutes, hours, days to the moment they can binge again. Instead of focusing on being in the moment and immersed in the incredible experience of fasting, people count days, weigh themselves every hour...
I just don't understand...
