Luke 15:18 and 21 (more serious than sinning against codes).
Many people sin against (violate) codes of etiquette, dress codes, table manners, and God's code of perfection (Ten Commandments) whether they admit it or not, but it will not be until they react JUSTLY and DECLARE themselves to be unworthy of the Father's grace that they become eligible for all that God can GIVE (HIS graciousness, NOT our "worthiness"). Then My Lord will treat them as a prodigal son as per His graciousness, not our IMAGINED worthiness (NOT punished, God is not a punisher, 1 John 4:18, many people imagine Him to be a punisher because they themselves are unjust).
God knows everybody sins against codes of some sort (so of course we're all sinners). God knows that we will trust (have faith in) many different people and things (faith can also falter/fail for FEAR of "let down", betrayals by others cause general mistrust), but neither of those is what God is all about (God is LOVE). Love does not murder, destroy, hate, resent, it does not consist of ego, greed, a lust for power, injustice, a disrespect for objective truth, condescension, busybodiness or schemes. Christianity is not BASED on having a faith in God (simply trusting in Him), it is based on LOVE for your fellow human being and LOVE for where we came from. Therefore, it is necessary to use the proper name when clearly identifying/specifying whom we will love and worship.
God wants us to be the kind of person that doesn't need a book in order for us to do the right thing. The book (bible) is a GUIDE that serves many functions, it tells us about the GOSPEL (the saving grace of His Son), examples of holy behavior and unholy behavior, principles of life (parables) and points out the pitfalls of human nature (the flesh), "Which of you convicts me...?" John 8:46.
